Sekiro is one of my favorite games, but the mandatory Chained Ogre fight in Ashina Outskirts was probably a mistake in terms of game design. IIRC in the demo the Ogre was placed in the courtyard where you fight Tenzen Yamauchi, which can be skipped. I don't support throwing the player into such a hard challenge in the opening minutes of the game.
did chained ogre really give people that much trouble?
i didn't 1shot it but it wasn't that bad compared to..well that annoying ghost bitch with input reading
The shills for this game responded to all criticism of it by "you couldn't get passed the chained ogre" which quickly nuked all threads because there were very few people actually interested in the game in the first place
for instance they did the same thing with elden ring with margit "you couldn't get passed margit". margit was so poorly designed for a first boss and poorly balanced that it was a legitimate complaint, so it's quite possible sekiro is the same way
if more people played sekiro less people would have played elden ring
reasons i disliked sekiro and elden ring weren't margit or chained ogree , but then
i just assumed anyone saying "get good" or "filtered" its a shill and blind fanboy . no reason to even asnwer them
open world like elden ring is shit anyway
>margit was so poorly designed for a first boss
That's because From actually wanted people to get gatekept and try going elsewhere in the game (Weeping Peninsula) and explore their open world game instead of playing it like they would DS3 and kill dancer early.
Fromsoft is massively incompetent and I don't think anybody working there actually know what they're doing anymore and all the talent left. Nothing in elden ring comes close to anything in demon's souls in presentation. Even stormviel is a shittier version of the first level of demon's souls down to even the visual design. Couple this with the bosses all using terrible sekiro AI and the game generally being broken and it's a terrible experience all around
that's not even addressing the horrible ubisoft open world
Ogre and that lady butterfly cunt was something of a roadblock for me. In hindsight ogre if laughably easy if you just spam step-dodge, but with like 2 estus there's little room for error when his grabs takes out your entire health bar.
It took me a couple of tries but the chained ogre wasn't enough to count as a roadblock to me.
If I recall correctly the player only receives the flame prosthetic tool after fighting chained ogre. I believe the correct decision would've been to give it to the player before the ogre fight, that way the difficulty increase throughout the early parts would've been more linear.
people have different problems with different bosses
its not something new , anyone who isn't a retarded underage knows that since deS
you could 1shot a boss that takes me 100 tries and vice-versa
>DS2 has an ogre that filters 99% of players with his grab hitbox >Everyone drops it and spits on it to this day >Sekiro does the same thing >People push past it and fondly remember it as one of the best Fromsoft titles of all time
Uninteresting setting and uninteresting gameplay
It's boring like all Fromshovelware games.
still never playing fromshart games
based. Me either. Even DMC feels better to play than anything that shovelware company shits out.
Sekiro is a great game with a god awful combat (being unique doesn't make it good) system and bad gameplay design
I shouldn't be looking up guides on what items I need to collect across the world just so that I can take on a miniboss
it's a 6/10, could have been 11/10 but no, homosexuals had to have their "parry rhythmic dance". I platinumed it. It was shit.
chad (fuck sigmas and re)
>angrily play bad game you hate multiple times to 100% for le epic trophy/achievement
u gay
basado
Waiting for the spiritual shinobi sequel.
>casually filters 99% of souls players
What ninja gaiden do you recommend?
NGB emulated on pc
Sigma 2 with black mod
cs.rin.ru has a fantastic torrent for NGB up right now
i will check it out and see if I can make the game finally clicks in my head.
Thanks anon.
>Gets hit
Git gud
>jumps
>presses triangle
easy peasy
the camera will never not be shit
its made for people who buy tickets to see action movies
i consider camera shit on most games anyway
so its not like i'm defending anything when i also consider souls/dmc/bayo camera shit
bg3 is one of the worst games ever made and that doesn't make sekiro good
By releasing the game. Tons of people beat it, even people that thought they couldn't.
It's funny how lies of p and nioh filtered even sekiro players.
>shit games filter me
oh no the horror
kek
stay mad
about? 2 franchises i will not play its sequels so having less money to waste?
by being bad
Yup, it literally is a skill issue.
on the developers. you right
Nioh is a shit game
Lies of P is actually pretty easy
Filtered?
By the fucking amount of boredom I had playing this compared to other From games.

it's fucking awfully design, the fact that it sold 20 million is great and terrible at the same time
>margit was so poorly designed for a first boss

It's literally just batman gameplay but faster and with shitty animations.
I always thought the Chained Ogre/Lady Butterfly filtering people was a meme.
What the fuck? Are people THAT bad?
people have different problems with different bosses
its not something new , anyone who isn't a retarded underage knows that since deS

I had more trouble with lady butterfly than any other boss
it was easier than every other from software game, how did it filter anyone?
not everyone enjoys parrying maybe, i dont i always found it cheap unless i was forced to use it
>wins TGA game of the year
Sekiro isn't some niche hardcore title, it's mainstream and completed by women using dance mats lmao
if you try hard enough you can complete anything you want with anything you want
who could have guessed practice makes perfect eh?

i dont remember any ogre with a shitty hitbox on DaS2
not having a tranny sex change box for one
>Replaying with Charmless Demon Bell
>Getting hard filtered at the Demon Bull and can't proceed any further
Why did they have to lock off the entire castle behind this. I can't even go to the Temple to farm sugar
>Charmless Bell Demon
Just wait until the fountainhead palace.
>casually filters 51% of troons
>fulfill dream of going to gensokyo
>filled with trannies now
I play games to chill out and relax. No really into smashing my head against a wall.
Games only exist to provide a challenge. If you don't like challenge, you don't like games.
