No but social media can be just as bad or worse.

No, you're a slave for the state, you can't waste your life on video games when you should be securing the global success of the Chinese Communist Party and the People's Liberation Army. You should devote yourself to them with unquestioning loyalty and kill your family if they stray from the path set before them by our glorious leaders.

i love vidya, but should we as breeding aged adults be putting hours upon hours of our time into these digital scapes? will it only fuel the decline of our world? yes its the chinese, but how long before this shit is mass norm everywhere? already millionaires made from just online videos, now everything is copystrike this, TOS that.

They aren't a cause of the problem. Their popularity is a response to the underlying problems. If you really believe removing or limiting video games from existence would change the world, you're even more retarded than I thought possible.

I think it helps to curb addictive behavior and forces you to be a more well-rounded person.

I just saw this IRL, my neighborhood just had a special election for an empty state seat. Both parties came out in force, lots of money was spent, lots of time; 3rd party groups like mine sent out non-partisan encouragements to vote; early voting was open for a week - and in the end it was decided by a few hundred votes and we only got a quarter of the turnout we'd get for a Presidential election where your vote hardly matters.

It's so frustrating sometimes, the people just won't wake up and do the bare minimum.

The government has an infinite money printer. What they need is obedient cattle.

I still don't understand how obedient cattle are better than obedient hounds.
That money printer can only run forever when there's a working class propping it up. Turn them into lumpenproles and the system implodes.

YOur hounds can rebel, because they have some measure of self respect and physical strength. Trannified cattle that is fully dependent on government gibbs will be obedient or be deprived of everything and will have no strength to rebel.

You can force them to be obedient with policies
They don't really need your money

the gov still needs productive and competent people for it to continue to exist in the world. It does want a degree of dependence but certainly not to the level you describe. That's why there's a push to get men in particular to stop "dropping out" of society, get jobs, and marry all those literal whores

Based, it's often a form of escapism. You go to school for fucking 8 hours come back home, you don't want to do some homework.
You'd like to do something without family? Too bad, dad was at the factory all day and is either not home or pissed and doesn't want to do anything else but watch TV without being nagged around.
Mom is making food ir cleaning or whatever.
Brothers and sisters, if any, have too much of an age difference and even if you'd want to go outside with them, where? What happens if every fucking family goes outside everyday?
Yeah I'll play some vidya in my corner, comfy.
