Forspoken isn't cheesy dialogue, it's Marvel tier dialogue with no sincerity, everything is ironic, everyone is bored including the main characters.
Jack is like the shy kid in drama class who got dragged up on stage to play in an improve game and knocked it out of the park by doing almost nothing.
Forspoken Chick is the kid who jumps up first before anyone is picked and always acts sarcastic and self-aware in every improve game. They also talk very loud and if somebody else is talking, they just talk louder.
