Neither. I'll just slay all thalmor myself without worrying over their petty war.
Based, take the throne of Skyrim while your at it who's going to stop you?
frankly, it should have been the third option
Todd Howard and Emil Pagliarulo
cringe unrealistic self insert fantasy baby post
Eh, its completely believable for the Dragonborn tbh
Tiber was dragonborn, he needed a metareality altering supermecha to conquer Alinor.
The one who didn't try to have me executed for no reason.
This is the most retarded and petty moron tier take ever, yet you always see it sooner or later in these threads.
>b-but I dindu nuffin!
In your smooth miniature brain this maybe sounds like you're contributing something to the conversation but you're not. While everyone else is discussing the motivations of the factions and potential consequences of supporting one over the other all you can think "I dindu nuffin" like you honestly believe that Tullius personally wanted you killed for some unknown reason. The starting scene is obviously only meant to be a cool setup and introduction to the dragons as a well as a kind of throwback to the start of Oblivion. It has no relevance to the civil war plot at all, it's like saying that you'd support one faction over the other because a nameless guard belonging to a particular city attacked you at some point.
>no relevance to the plot
>is your entire introduction to the world, the game, and each faction and how they handle themselves
>he's not on the list? KILL HIM ANYWAY
Exactly. And now an entire empire will fall just because they inconvenienced me.
I will always side with the man who has honor and who fights for a worthy cause. Goes without saying which one it is.
There should be an option to destroy both factions/Thalmor ending
Right because the armour looks cooler
Vanilla Skyrim is such a shitty game
There is so much potential nuance and they throw it all out the window to railroad you into picking
>Muh shit story and characters
Ok gay. So where's yours?
>uh excuse me you're not a painter so don't go around saying shit smeared on a wall isn't fine art
Would be a good argument if Skyrim was universally acclaimed as a masterpiece and among the best games of all time. Meanwhile everyone shits on modern art and knows it's just money laundering.
not him (I agree with you) but
>if Skyrim was universally acclaimed as a masterpiece and among the best games of all time
it often is
Nah, was supposed to say "but". My bad, had a long work day.
Jesse was never an option
Who has the hairiest pussy?
Yuffie. She also smells
Most certainly Jessie
Tifa. She's asian.
I choose whichever one will actually love me
>Despite not sharing either a land or sea border, Imperialfags think the Aldmeri Dominion will just instantly invade and conquer Skyrim.
>Despite the Thalmor dossier very clearly stating that a either side victory is an outcome to be avoided, Imperialfags think that Ulfric is a Thalmor agent and working with them because they consider him to be an "asset".
Why can't Imperialfag into geography, logistics and literacy?
Never let facts stand in the way of a good argument.
The facts don't support them so they ignore them
I'm sure Ulfric is going to have fun with that 3 years of independence before the Aldmeri Dominion steamrolls his shithole province while on their way to unmaking reality
At least he can worship Talos lol
How are they going to do that exactly? They'd have have to get through either Hammerfell, High Rock or Cyrodiil to even get there.
Why wouldn't the Empire just let the elves pass through their territories at that point? Surely they'd be butthurt about losing the province and it'd make it easier for them to recapture when they and if they regain their strength..
The empire's joint invasion of Skyrim with the AD would lend credence to that theory. The thing is not everyone in Cyrodil has given up and would harass the supply routes.
Ulfric is too handsome to be smart, Tullius is the right answer
Canon will probably be Neutral tho
Bulbasaur is for funchads. Charmander is for tryhard sweats. Squirtle is for contrarians.
I just uninstalled this game, it doesn’t hold a candle to Morrowind
Neither are all that good tbh
Still have 100 hours on Morrowind and 230 on Skyrim tho
>DURR REDGUARD moron moron moron
Most of this is accurate but him bitching about Hammerfell not knowing how to read between the lines is ironic. Hammerfell still had Imperial legions stationed in it even as an "independent" province, it was an excuse to keep fighting the Dominion without it being an "official" Imperial conflict and giving them an excuse to spark up a Cyrodilic invasion again before they recovered.
Ah yes the invalids. What are they up to now? Last time I checked it was 100 Legions of Elite troops.
>Hammerfell still had Imperial legions stationed in it even as an "independent" province,
I believe that was only the case during the War itself.
The Redguards are literally moronarabs.
>the least revisionist Imperial
The war started with the invasion of Hammerfell with the Thalmor following it up with an attack on Cyrodil because the Empire was weaker than expected. The Redguards were not traitors for already being in Hammerfell fighting the exact same war; and it was a token force that was left behind in Hammerfell, not the other way around. The White-Gold Concordat was signed right before the Markarth Incident, so there was hardly any time between the two to make the judgement that "Talos worship was banned but the ban wasn't enforced". But based on the existence of an entire book written by the Imperials about how Talos worship was a mistake, I'd argue the Imperials fully intended on carrying out the ban. And it misses the point that the Thalmor would have found any excuse to demand they enforce the ban anyway, the Empire should have told them to fuck off for meddling in their legal system. Also lol at the
>redguards then, with their largely undamaged military
As though half of the Thalmor forces weren't in Hammerfell.
This argument always falls apart due to one thing: the Empire could have just acquiesced to the Stormcloaks and lifted the Talos ban. If they had done so, Skyrim would have been kept from plunging into civil war. It would have ended the Stormcloak momentum and maintained what remained of the Imperial unity.
If the combined forces of the various provinces truly were prepared to return to war, renigging on the Concordant would have meant nothing. It would have only forced the Dominion to redeclare war in an unprepared state. It would have turned the tide and ended the war in its entirety.
The problem is that the Empire is a bloated and corrupt husk of its former glory. Mede II was too proud to allow rebellion in the North and determined it was more important to waste resources ensuring Skyrim was brought to heel than eat some fucking humble pie and acknowledge the legitimacy of Talos - the fucking founder of the Empire. This is doubly retarded when you consider the Nords' history, not only of supporting the Empire but also waging total war against any and all existential threats to their way of life.
Ysgramor eradicated an entire fucking race of Mer because one settlement was lost. The Nords have never fucked around when it comes to retaliation and antagonizing them waa always guaranteed to create a political and logistical quagmire that would be ruinous for the Empire.
The entire pro-Empire argument rests on "two more weeks" posting and wiki misinterpretations of information
I just think Ulfric and Galmar are fucking retarded tbdesu
He's no genius, but he's competent enough. Windhelm is a fairly prosperous hold in comparison to the rest, Ulfric proved himself in battle to be a straightforward (but capable) brute, and mastery of the voice shows at least some connection to Nord traditions. I do agree with Empirefags when they say that Tullius is smarter than Ulfric, but Tullius is also tied to a rapidly sinking ship.
He learned Fus, then dipped from Greybeard training and used it to kill a guy.
If it wasn't made obvious by the Greybeard's name, it takes fucking forever to master the voice and it's use hasn't been common for centuries. Mastery wasn't the right word, you're right, but it is still an accomplishment that hardly any other living person has achieved.
The Ebony Warrior is a good example of this. As a level 80 NPC and former Hero, he presumably has decades of adventuring under his belt to be one of the strongest NPCs in the game. Despite this, who knows three shouts.
Ulfric is not as prolific or successful a warrior and certainly not as well trained or equipped. Knowing one word is substantial. Most Nords see it as a lifelong endeavor and revere those who can wield even the most modest of words.
Ulfric isn't a Master, but he is well trained by even the most strict standards of the setting to be even able to shout Fus.
Basically. I've been poking these holes in their retarded arguments for over a decade. It's always the same shit - circle jerking about "tactical genius" and "based warriors" without ever considering the actual strategic and political implications of choices made.
Ulfric was driven to do what he did because the Empire turned their backs on the provinces. They allowed Hammerfell to be raped and Skyrim's very identity to be subverted. There are consequences for these decisions and failing to properly deal with them from a ground level perspective delegitimizes the authority of the Empire.
You can't rule people without justice. Injustice will be answered with violence time and time again. Mede was already an illegitimate Emperor by blood, but his failure to maintain unity and cohesion amongst his subjects made it necessary for his demise and the collapse of the broken regime.
Talos himself stated it to the Nerevarine - the Empire's time is over and it has to be replaced with something better. Ulfric may not be the agent of that change, but the actions in Hammerfell and Skyrim can only bring about the next stage of Tamriel. What matters is that the Dominion is kept from their goal.
>Blade agents would have discovered this but they were killed in secret
I'm one fucking line in and I'm already tapping out. If all of America's spies in chinas were murdered, or all of our secret service at home were murdered, there's no keeping that a secret. It's all so fucking stupid. But, then again, anyone taking bethesda writing seriously is also stupid, so fuck the entire prospect.
>kill American spy
>send messages to America larping as said spy
>in a world without satellites or internet.
Not all that difficult tbh, you're just retarded in actuality.
If the empire did not have to appeasethe AD did they gain anything from invading Skyrim.
If you have no way of answering the accepted cop out is a semantic argument over the word invasion.
No I won't. It's the same Bethesda "morally grey" faction war where you aren't given any devisive element and worldbuilding that confirms the true character and agenda of factions and respective leaders. Are the Stomcloaks useful idiots? Is Ulfric a Thalmor agent? Is the Empire playing the long game? Who the fuck knows.
Skyrim story and factions are fucking horrible. If no consequence is clear, then nothing matters, and Bethesda designed the game like that on purpose
>Are the Stomcloaks useful idiots?
>Is Ulfric a Thalmor agent?
>Is the Empire playing the long game?
Play the fucking game
>>Is the Empire playing the long game?
200 more years of bootlicking
Trust the plan
> Is the empire playing the long game?
That is the problem. They need to fight a war of attrition while the AD has to build its forces.
>Trust the plan, citizen. Any day now, we're going to strike at the Dominion. Any day now. Maybe. Oh, hello Justiciar! Nice day, isn't it? Great party last night.
Bruh if we had fuckin gestapo running around new york shipping garden gnomes to Germany unmolested I'd say we fucking lost wwii
It would obviously have been a long term win for the US.
>Is the Empire playing the long game?
Just two more weeks and we'll stop being cucks and fight back against the elves! yeah it's been 30 years already but we're totally gonna fight back, really!
And what exactly is independent Skyrim going to do instead?
Still...poor quest design.
In in gmae stories and quests there are some big unexplained time gaps for no reason... for example... thives guild quest line charachter has been hiding from the guild for 20 years!!! Can't remember name of charachter but it's the bitch that saves you after you've been poisoned
>Is the Empire playing the long game?
if by "playing" you mean "sucking", and by "game", you mean "elf cock", then yes
That doesn't exist in the real world so why would it in a game? I know New Vegas gets brought up but that is about as simplistic and clear cut choice between good and evil as you get.
This, most of the argument over who's wrong or right in Skyrim comes from a general lack of information and misconceptions. It's never actually about the ethos of the factions, it's all just
>does this dossier imply Ulfric is a Thalmor asset or not
>does the Empire actually have the means to fight the Thalmor
and on like this. It's all just reinterpreting the same lore and adding in information that simply wasn't provided. It doesn't help that the wikis are where most people get their info since lol at reading the books in-game, and the wikis add fuckloads of extraneous info that wasn't in the fucking games.
My main gripe about the CW is its such a forefront for the introduction but takes a back seat to everything else after it. The first person you wake up and see is a Stormcloak soldier and a gagged Ulfric. You get sent to the gallows with Stormcloaks under the Empire and sentenced by Tullius. But after that its hardly anything. Fetch a horn, travel to a dwarven ruin, fight some dragons, meet Paarthurnax, fight Alduin, trap Odaahving and so on. I mean it would be different if they intertwined but they dont. Especially when Alduin is said to be devouring soldiers from both sides and getting stronger.
Skyrim as a whole seems like it needed half a year longer in the oven or more.
It did, but the civil war being relegated to side content was an intentional decision. Integrating it was the heated debate during the game's development, and in the end those in leadership gave their deciding votes against it (presumably because the design lead has some very strong opinions about what goes in his games)
>liar reveal story
How do people who are so fucking retarded end up thinking they are smart intelligent people capable of understanding good world building?
Its not even morally grey, its just multi-faceted on the most basic level and yet you are still too retarded to understand such a basic concept. The people of skyrim all have different opinions that may or may not be true or even partially true just like real life. So much better then the shit writing of NV where its just one side good other side bad and a simple chat with their leaders will reveal their entire thought proccess where they will just randomly decide to open up to a complete stranger about all their internal thoughts and demands.
You meet ceasar and he just tells you everything, you meet Ulfric and you still can't decide if he truly believes the rhetoric he says or is just using it as a tool for personal empowerment.
So, which one would you like/be more ok with for 6?
>Empire STILL crumbling slowly, maybe ending with its total destruction
>another big timeskip, Empire is fucking dead, your actions will help in the creation of the 4th Cyrodillic Empire
Yellow that guy is CLEARLY have a MUCH better time than everyone else
Yellow is having fun
Black seems like he plays Pokemon too much
>Run Lola Run
>Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
stuck between black and yellow
Marry Lady, fuck Nico, kill Trish
I don't know any of them. Middle one.
Trish looks bad
I'll always side with Colonel Tigh.
Should you, the dragonborn, become the new emperor? Isn't that divine right?
they don't bother folk like me. i'm just a simple travelling merchant.
>nords fight to the death for the right to worship a Breton pedo from the Imperial pantheon
>only one man in all of Skyrim who worships Kyne
>wise old man
>uga buga nord barbarian
everyone always says the empire is just biding their time before attacking the thalmor, but how? they've been fully infiltrated on all levels by them. what can they ever do?
NOW GIVE ME THAT TANOOKI SUIT!
I would go with ulfric stormcloack... the only problem it's that he is retarded and childless... As soon as he dies there would be an other war to establish a successor since he has litterally no family.
But I think it's just poor quest design by bethesda... the whole civil war questline it's so boring and souless.. worst thing it's that it will reuin your game if done to early because a ton of quests ( some of the best even ) get bugged or are litterally unstartable.
So yeah, if you take something from this post... especially if you are new... its don't start this quest for any reason, unless you know what you are doing or you litterally 100%ed the game
The little one
gimme those nuts
Imagine how greasy these are
NOF all day
I will rule Skyrim!
>go smash your keyboard out of frustration with the greybeards for 30 minutes listening them drag on about some stupid bullshit
>do side quests for 30 hours
Stormcloak, as was intended by Todd himself.
>"The Emperor is getting old. Don't know how much longer he'll hang on. So is the whole Empire, for that matter. Getting old, that is. The Emperor and the legions have held the Empire together for hundreds of years. It's been a good thing, by and large. But maybe it's time for a change. Time for something young and new. What? No idea. Because I'm old. Old dog doesn't get new ideas. But maybe young folks like you should try some new ideas. I don't know. Could be messy. But change is never pretty."
Who cares what that gay thinks? He's the culmination of multiple people anyway. All the cool shit you hear that he did was done by other people that he sucked up.
>starts the rebellion when the Empire is at its weakest on his home turf
>fails to take over whole of Skyrim militarily
>fails to convince the majority of the population to support him
>wastes resources in a pointless meat grinder that will ultimately serve only the talmor
>outsider send from Cyrodil to Syrim to fix a problem
>doesn't know the province or it's people
>has limiter resources
>quickly adapts to the situation
>compensates his lack of local knowledge with a strong Nordic woman
>in span of two months is able to outplay Ulfrik on his home field and capture him
>would have ended the rebellion right there, despite the talmor trying to save it, if only the apocalypse didn't start
Tullius is Cezar and Ulfrik is Vercingetorix
hopefully we will get a chance to join Tullius during the crossing of Rubicon
Whatever way takes me to Macbeth
I would help Ulfric with conquering Skyrim and then usurp the throne after shouting him to death like he deserves.
After that I would attempt to unite as many of the provinces as possible (through force if necessary) and then go on a crusade to remove the altmer race from existence
lolbert = storm
chad white supremecist = imp
storm = chad white nationalist
imp = zogbot imperialist
Unironically Tullius. Dragonborn is bound to become emperor sooner or later anyways, also Empire winning the civil war is canon.
Knuckles, tougher than the rest of them.
Right because the voice actor is my homie Saul Tigh from Battlestar Galactica (Michael Hogan).
So Ganker, what race are you going with in Sand Skyrim? Im going Imperial
My boy Frampt
Kaathe, fuck u frampt i dont wana get incinerated
Stormcloaks = White nationalists = Right wingers
Imperials = gnomish worshipping globalists = Left wingers

imperial because i always pick argonian
+ slaying thalmors along the way
You mean the same empire which conquered the argonians and allowed them to be enslaved in one of the orivinces
Thalmor. I wish i could pick thalmor and enslave the petty human monkeys.
>stormcloak gives you 5$ for standing outside
Bear, Bull bull bear BEAR OR BULL

OP is the IRL equivalent of Ulisses, except he makes treads about 'cloak or imp. Imp cloak cloak imp imp cloak imp cloak?
Dawnguard or the vampires?
>I fucked your sister bro
The only good option for humanity as a whole, the Empire.
Nordmorons are literal snow demons who call raiding and pillaging "civilization"
The only good option for humanity as a whole, the Empire.
Nordmorons are literal snow demons who call raiding and pillaging "civilization"
youre not dragon teasesteses
What empire are you talking about? Their is a loose alliance between Cyrodil , High Rock, and half of Skyrim at the start of the game. Cyrodil is currently compromised due to ~~*Altmer*~~ money buying influence in the colleges and press.
Not seeing any empire.
Choose, Anneke or Sylgja, mother or daughter?
younger pussy wins, duh
What did you do to them? Neither now. Prior the only answer was both at the same time. After that crime you commited everything is ruined.
Real money or chocolate money?
Stormcloaks. Ulfric is the rightful king and with the power of the voice he can easily destroy the empire and reclaim Skyrim for the Nords and restore the power of Talos.
>b-but muh Thalmor plant
He is not, he was merely tortured and interrogated by them. The Thalmor see Ulfric as a useful tool to destroy the empire. They Thalmore themselves don't stand against the might of Skyrim and Hammerfall.
>with the power of the voice he can easily destroy the empire
bro he knows Fus, ONLY Fus
Enough to knock 30 soldiers on their back.
Stormcuck over Limperial every time.
You're a lorelet if you choose the false empire
