Anyone that uses "clunky" is an idiot not worth a discussion. It's more of a meaningless buzzword than most. The combat is actually smooth and fast, idk what the frick you bandwagon troons are on about. You literally zip around attacking and dodging while blasting and buffing, DaS is slower and "clunkier", definitely more awkward if you are overweight and are bad at timing.
Dark Souls 3 feels like you're fighting Bloodborne enemies sometimes tbh

The big dudes nailed to the crosses in Road of Sacrifices.
If you try to fight them like a dark souls enemy they kill you. You need to stay on them like a bloodborne enemy.
I think they were called lycanthropes or some shit.
Go play Forspoken™. It is a great game, following the adventures of Frey and Cuff, the excellent duo who travel through the Land of Athia to defeat the Break and restore peace. The Gamer gives it a 9/10. Highly Recommended.
I wish God Eater didn't kill itself with 3. I need more MH clones for whenever I don't feel like playing MH. Wild Hearts is going to suck so fricking bad. Why couldn't they just make God Eater 4?
code tards really pride themselves on figuring out how to look down for some reason. and of course this excuses the level from being 2 hours of the same 3 enemies copy pasted on the same 3 untextured church assets.
if you want to say that the game is style over substance, go ahead, but imo it's style is its strength so i'm happy to enjoy it. go play a dark souls game if you're more interested in mechanic depth or whatever it is you're cryptically complaining about.
played through the game twice. hating on this part is a meme, the minimap shows you where you've already been and theres only a few places where 2 levels overlap vertically. Other than looking like an unity asset flip this area is just backtrack central if you want to find every item and over in about 10 minutes if you just blast through to the end. There are several parts of the game that offer an actual challenge thats not getting bored to tears
The issue is that the shitty textures and lighting creates visual traps and illusions that make it hard to tell where the railings are missing to drop down.
Can't believe people genuinely had trouble with that layout. The combat instances were the roughest part of that place. I'd imagine that those that had trouble navigating there would be fricked in a moderately-sized city.
My fondest memory of this game is going full weeaboo in the character creator.
I even gave myself one red eye and one blue eye with a scar over it.
Little did I know that in a cutscene, your character's eye gets infected by BLUE VAMPIRE MAGIC and turns blue and scarred for the rest of the game.
I honestly had no idea it happened, because my tint of blue was almost exactly the same as the PLOT that got in it.
Someone had to tell me later, and I felt so fricking smug that I was smiling for the rest of the day.
I like Code Vein, flaws and all.
It could've done better in some areas like Level Design and combat flow/weight, but i think its a decent foundation for what it is.
It WAS stupid as frick for them to go into that other Cybergame (i forgot its name) after the success of CV. Especially since apparently it had nothing to do with either GE or CV.
It was kinda cool actually, because in the background of the game you're wondering why all these superheroes were even created and what these "Horrors" mentiuoned in the flashbacks could've been to push humanity to create revenants
Only the Queen and the protagonist can get that strong. The protagonist more or less has unlimited potential due to their unique circumstances.
When the protagonist consumed the Queen's blood, they became the Successor of the Blood. This granted them a unique form of immortality that no other Revenants have. Normally, when a Revenant gets struck through the heart, they die. The Lost don't have this issue, but this is because the BOR Parasite's activities are normally restricted in Revenants. When the protagonist died the first time, their Blood Code was damaged, and when they came back to life later, their Blood Code remained damaged. This allows them to take on new Blood Codes by consuming the blood of others.
No other Revenant can obtain new powers by consuming blood.
I do as well. It's anti-comfy and it just works. You really enjoy coming back to the hideout because it's a brief period of respite from an unforgiving and broken world.
Yea i really like that one level thats just a single trash pile asset copy+pasted 500 times. wow so kino, so anti- comfy, they totally did this for any other reason than wasting the players time
What do you expect a ruined metro area to look like? A giant lake with !redwoods under a swamp accessed by a giant tree that happens to have grown just right to be a giant ladder with mushroom people and comically ugly lizards lacking opposable thumbs that mysteriously are able to climb up the tree?
I wanted Code Vein to be good so badly, but holy frick the game played like fricking hot dogshit. Hitboxes all over the fricking place, floaty movement, and a poise/stagger mechanic that rarely if ever fricking works against opponents but lord forbid an enemy so much as breathes next to you.
Really? I used the hammer too and staggered my way through everything easily

I'm missing the other ending achievements because I flat out refuse to go back to it because of how fricking bad the combat was. Maybe shit has changed in the past two years but I don't care enough to find out.
It's pretty enjoyable, for a souls clone. I only found it fun playing solo, but the invisible trigger events where a bunch of enemies rush you are just impossible when you aren't prepared, and still difficult when you are because enemy patterns just aren't meant to be overlapped with such numbers. Every time I encountered one, I just came back with a partner, cleaned up, and went back to the bonfire to tell them to frick off again, very tedious and annoying.
Also the forced walk story sections are awful, new abilities being locked behind having the shitty story shoved down our throats at snails pace made it felt less like a reward and more like sleep therapy.
I thought the story things were really cool. They just WAY overused them. It's especially bad when you have 10 ability unlocks to do at once and exacerbates how samey they are.
Are we even getting a GE4 or Code Vein 2? I've not heard anything from the team in long time, and from what I understand GE3 didn't do as good (mostly carried by the western sales) as the company had hoped.
Either way was neat to see western weeb pandering with these series, instead of neglecting their US and EU fans like most japs do.
Absolutely fricking nothing, director just said that he's at work on CV/GE stuff.
The whole merged Bandai dev team will have to manage those IPs, Tales, a new MMORPG shooter which was accused of plagiarism and others and all in a new engine apparently
>I've not heard anything from the team in long time
The director said both GE and CV "content" is coming but he isn't allowed to announce anything yet
Consider that Bandai is now transitioning to a homemade engine for all his animay games, which explains why no major Tales nor Shift content was announced after SN and Arise
Why force yourself to finish a game you don't like? I stopped playing 3 around the return to Lothric castle because it was just fricking grey bland shit
Bump
No one gives a frick about this clunky dogshit game.
But i do tho?
Dilate harder, dickless.

Code Vein is Dark Souls on Ice.
Anon, DaS is anything but fast-paced.
Neither is Code Vein.

Oh
Yeah, those fricked me up a bunch early on
Well, that’s why they never made a sequel
>if a sequel isn't immediately announced and out in two years developer doesn't care
Ever think about curing your ADHD anon?
Given its part of the God Eater universe it's a matter of time till we get GE4 and CV2.
Isn't Scarlet Nexus the sequel?
No, they are 2 completely different games
Great game. One of the very few well made Dark Souls clones. I still hope we get a sequel.
Murasame
Successor of the Blood solos
Go play Forspoken™. It is a great game, following the adventures of Frey and Cuff, the excellent duo who travel through the Land of Athia to defeat the Break and restore peace. The Gamer gives it a 9/10. Highly Recommended.
mia with rin's clothes
Nice
>built in cameltoe
strangely arousing
Funny how the only "fans" of this game are dumb as shit waifugays.
Kys, we like the actual game too
I love the gameplay, though
Are non-Whites even human? The Eternal Question.
Says the mutt.
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T ENJOY BOTH GOOD GAMEPLAY AND ATTRACTIVE CHARACTERS, YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE OR THE OTHER!!!!!!!!!!
Funny, usually western AAA games have neither.
I wish God Eater didn't kill itself with 3. I need more MH clones for whenever I don't feel like playing MH. Wild Hearts is going to suck so fricking bad. Why couldn't they just make God Eater 4?
CV2 and GE4 WILL happen
Just have faith
Fighting Aragami with CV combat would be weird tbh
That's pretty much the DLC, though
>CV2 and GE4
It'll be a single game
Called
God Drinker
Code Vein was one of my favorite games, too bad I got stuck after that horrible labyrinth. You know the one? The one that looks like bones and shit.
Looks neat, surely it can't be that bad, right?
It's actually quite linear once you understand there's a vertical element involved too (i.e. jump down ledges).
code tards really pride themselves on figuring out how to look down for some reason. and of course this excuses the level from being 2 hours of the same 3 enemies copy pasted on the same 3 untextured church assets.
if you want to say that the game is style over substance, go ahead, but imo it's style is its strength so i'm happy to enjoy it. go play a dark souls game if you're more interested in mechanic depth or whatever it is you're cryptically complaining about.
It is a bit confusing at first, but unless you have a woman’s sense if direction you should be able to pull through.
Beautiful kek. I actually made it through but couldn't figure out what to do afterwards and thought I probably needed to backtrack.
played through the game twice. hating on this part is a meme, the minimap shows you where you've already been and theres only a few places where 2 levels overlap vertically. you might just be moronic
its pretty damn clear when you drop down cause you have literally no other option
>actual challenge thats not getting bored to tears
hardest part of the game tbh
Never understood why people had issues with this considering that you literally have a minimap kek.
its just a meme to reflect criticism. its a shitty repetetive level no one likes so its easy to say FILTERED and pretend the game is a perfect 10/10
I like it toughever
Can't believe people genuinely had trouble with that layout. The combat instances were the roughest part of that place. I'd imagine that those that had trouble navigating there would be fricked in a moderately-sized city.
>sequelbait ending
>great sales overall
We WILL get a sequel
My fondest memory of this game is going full weeaboo in the character creator.

Someone had to tell me later, and I felt so fricking smug that I was smiling for the rest of the day.
Doesn't that happen only in bad end cutscene?
It also happens when you fist Cruz, IIRC.
>one red eye and one blue eye
I like doing that, also like changing them to normal for the flashback segment
Admiring waifu
>sleeps near naked in the living room in front of everyone, completely defenseless
What did she mean by this
No one there would rape her
They have bigger problems to worry about than modesty, especially when everyone bathes in a tiny towel together
Always there to greet her Successor when he arrives.
>he
not canon
I love these white cuties.
>She will never get another game
It's not fricking fair bros
>he didn't get the true ending
I did. I just fear there won't be a CV2.
It was confirmed
Where? I'll happily go on hopium if there's been actual confirmation.
I like Code Vein, flaws and all.

It WAS stupid as frick for them to go into that other Cybergame (i forgot its name) after the success of CV. Especially since apparently it had nothing to do with either GE or CV.
Yeah, that game looked bad and I never hear anyone talk about it.
There was a big thread about it yesterday, I think.
Yeah, an anon got tricked into buying it by his friends
Last i heard he was having fun with the Character Creation, but thread got archived
There's a thread in the archive about Code Vein but I don't see one about the technology game.
I hope he's enjoying it, at least. More people need to try out demos.
>create literal supervampires to fight aliens
>they never fight the aliens because their queen goes bananas
It was kinda cool actually, because in the background of the game you're wondering why all these superheroes were even created and what these "Horrors" mentiuoned in the flashbacks could've been to push humanity to create revenants
they wouldve lost anyway

No other Revenant can obtain new powers by consuming blood.
Revenants will probably get a buff through the CV1 protag tbh, that way they'll actually be able to fight
Don't see what the protagonist could do for others. They're not even the Successor of the Blood anymore.
Code Vein and be extension God Eater has such cool lore.
Wouldn't it be the other way around?
best souls clone by far
best waifu/husbando creator after nioh 2
and it has big breasted women as a bonus
they only did it because they had to stretch their parking garage assets as far as possible
I like Code Vein's level design
Explain yourself. NOW.
I do as well. It's anti-comfy and it just works. You really enjoy coming back to the hideout because it's a brief period of respite from an unforgiving and broken world.

>What do you expect a ruined metro area to look like?
Not a single trash pile copy and pasted 500 times?
Can revenants actually fight Aragami? Thought you needed oracle cells for taht.
They managed to get rid of all the Aragami inside of Vein, and the DLC bosses are all strong Aragami variations.
Lov3 these bros (no homo)
I wanted Code Vein to be good so badly, but holy frick the game played like fricking hot dogshit. Hitboxes all over the fricking place, floaty movement, and a poise/stagger mechanic that rarely if ever fricking works against opponents but lord forbid an enemy so much as breathes next to you.
Nah, game just fricking sucks and no amount of worshipping your Io figurine is going to change that.
worked on my machine
Works on mine too, doesn't mean the game doesn't fricking suck.
Were you trying to stagger big enemies in the middle of their attack or something?
No, stagger is shit on all enemies regardless of type or size, but even the most lowly fricking trash mobs will stagger you with a god damn sneeze.
Literallly just use a greatsword or a hammer
Literally the only weapon I used the entire game was hammer which is why I'm so fricking pissed about how shit the stagger mechanic is.
Really? I used the hammer too and staggered my way through everything easily

Cute couple
Currently downloading it again just to mess around in the character creation

lmao they forgot it exists

Unreal Engine 5 can't handle maximum chuuni kino

It is
Mido was right
Ascend the ladder of Glorious Evolution
Ascend the ladder of Glorious Evolution
Sequel this year right?
I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it this year
>Really want to play Code Vein
>Have to finish that piece of shit Dark Soul 3 first
uuurgh
Why force yourself to finish a game you don't like? I stopped playing 3 around the return to Lothric castle because it was just fricking grey bland shit
If you don't like DaS3 that much then just drop it, what's your issue with it anyway?
Video games are meant to be fun.
It's the #1 Souls themed waifu creator
>*is fricking garbage in your path*
