this game is SHIT but I like the character creator and that's all it is to me so yes I will have Code Vein permanently installed on my PS5 but only for the character creation.
The character creator is the only reason people "liked" the game. Everyone agrees is one of the worst Souls clones and one of the worst games made during the last 10 years.
It has the worst combat out of all the non-indie souls-likes. There's just nothing to it. The enemies barely react to anything you do, there's no cues for when to attack or go on the defense. Usually for souls-likes there's a moment where everything just clicks and you "get it" but that moment never came with Code Vein because there's nothing to "get".

I am. I just beat the 2nd boss. Game is so much easier than Dark Souls it's kind of crazy, is the coop alive? I've just been using Louis.
co op is pretty dead, maybe you'll get lucky in the early game for summoning people but so far ive only managed to get one guy and that was in the city ruins. the game is pretty easy compared to most soulsborne copies, but i did encounter one golden knight motherfucker that plays like an elden ring boss.

Its much easier if youre using summons, but you can also fight bosses solo
If you fight them solo, like a man (like me), then some of them are pretty challenging

Why is there no hitstun in this game it took me a ridiculous amount of time to figure out why this game felt like shit and it's because you can get clipped by an attack for 40% of your health and your character won't react in the slightest.

I did back during release. I liked it. Outside of the anime tiddies, I like the 'OW THE EDGE LORD' anime aesthetics that they threw practically everywhere and that they had some bosses and enemies that were both stupid coom horny and Edgy chunni stuff that triggers the 'haha cool' in inner 12 year old brain.
Its probably not for fags that expect the highest tier out of these games, but there were aspects in this game i can see someone putting this in their 'comfy' list of games
Probably would say this is a decent entry level souls game for those who want to get into those kinds of games since the game gives you a companion to help you out and gives you buffs if you want them.
And despite the world, the story isn't as depressing as other souls games (except if you are cruz and Louie)
