frick no, as soon as I saw how they are handing the Italians and German campaign I lost all hope it will be good.
I've got a combined 2000 hours in CoH1 and CoH2 and have never played the campaign. Will the game be good if I don't care about the campaign?
It wont be good, CoH2 aint good and DoW3 and DoW2 arent good. And the only one that is good is AoE4 because it was more of a copy paste work

No sadly, the game has been a rush from the start and even started its conception after DOWIII was canned. The team working on coh3 is comprised mostly of that team and anyone left over from coh2 let alone coh1 has departed the company (given coh2 is 10 years old).
Quinn Duffy ffs has even left to go work with other former relic staff at black bird. This product is a mess and lacks creative vision, character, and overall soul. The faction buildings are the same designs from coh1, the units are arbitrarily there such as having bazooka squads for the sake of being a 1 type unit rather than incorporating that design into another unit and creating a flexible unit the player can make choices on. The factions have nothing really special about them, everyone gets the same type of units across the board. The inclusion of DOW3 capture elements such as "scouts" that cap faster and auto reinforce are also really bland. The removal or decreased importance of engineer units is also stupid, no longer do you have to make tactical decisions to retreat and build tier buildings, its simply built into your HQ where you click a button to basically have it auto build. I mean at this point it'd be better to just have the pre-built bases at this point given how lazy its all been.
I know people in the Alpha build and they haven't even gotten around to balance testing the multiplayer, even planned to launch with a bare bones multiplayer. Their map pool is pitiful with 2 2v2 maps, 1 3v3, and 1 4v4 map pool or so I've been told.
The long and short of this basically is that Relic or SEGA is chasing the Warhammer TW money, their new campaign rly seems to go that way and the full disregard for the tactical elements of the game and multiplayer rly seem lack luster. The game could easily use another full year in dev.

You're stuck with completely separate vehicle and crew weapon rosters that don't make any sense. DAK now has base building despite being in the fricking sand all the time, and normal European army only gets the HQ building DoW2-style.
