I'm sorry to hear that, but I didn't see this thread before. They fucked you, anon. They fucked you good. You could get both Ori games for 15 euros on eShop now (I assume it's 15 dollars in US) and this is what you had to buy.
Any good shmups on switch?
Sine Mora EX, currently at 99 eurocents. This is the only game I have for 4 platforms lol (X360, PC, PS4, and Switch)
Also, Akira Yamaoka - the Silent Hill guy - made a soundtrack.
>Isn't hollow knight a good game?
He's just trolling. They are both good games but I think Hollow Knight is just slightly better. You win buying either game pretty much. Plus Hollow Knight is 30 hours vs. Ori which takes about 9-10 hours to beat
I just hit 70 hours on my Hollow Knight playthrough. No walkthrough, guides, or hints until now. Glad I did it.

I need to replay it soon
if you're looking for platforming get Ori
if you're looking for combat and exploration get HK
Basically this, but HK has good platforming too. It just doesn't have grappling hooks and gliders like Ori

I wanna do all the dlc content as well, but man once I'm done I'm done. No 100% clears for me. I've gotten so much out of it and more. One of the best gaming experience I've ever had on Switch and in general. I'm fine with finally letting it go one day.
But seriously now. Why are there no Steam Deck threads? Because noone owns it. So why are they shilling it in every Switch thread?
It's fucking boring, anon. The game is pretty, no question about that, but there's just something wrong with the gameplay. I would say that Ori, in my personal opinion, was more frustrating than HK, especially in sections where you need to get the fuck out of the room before the ''timer runs out'' (let's just leave at that so I won't spoil you much), but you have this satisfaction when you solve the problem. This does not exist in HK.
I hope you won't regret it, but hey. If you do, know that you're not the only one. Which leads me to my next point...

>Longer game does not mean better.
If both games are equally good then longer is better

But they are not, that's the problem. HK is not a good game.
I repeat, it's just MY opinion. Anon who bought it will play it and decide whether he likes it or not, and nobody can force his/hers opinion on him/her.

According to the reviews, they are both really good games. I like Ori too, not here to argue which one is better. But if price is a factor and they are both good games, I would go with the longer game. It's a win-win either way though
Fuck Ori and those escape sequences, man I would never understand the praise that game gets, HK is fine but too bloated, they could remove like 50% of it and it would just improve it.
I played prodeus and it's really good. Multiplayer is non existant thanks to some bug but you can do maps and coop with friends and it just improves the game ten fold. Played a Mario 64 and survival with a friend and it was honestly the most fun I've had in a long time. 8/10 since the multiplayer was botched.
I just started playing Bayonetta but I dunno, it isn't doing it for me, the tone seems like it is trying to hard, it looks fucking blurry too, I wonder why I'm not enjoying the combo system either, feels weird, I'm awful at stylish games but I can still have a good time with DMC and loved Astral Chain.
I really don't think you can pick wrong here, but Hollow Knight is a little slow to start and the Ori cutscenes and story beats are a little cringe imo. Ori is much less of a combat game so I would orient your choice around how much you like platforming vs fighting.
your the one that's gonna play it why are you asking me?
I don't know which one to get
What are some good handheld games? I bought Darkest Dungeon, so looking for slower games like that for playing in bed or whatever
I bought invisible inc a month ago to play while listening to podcasts. Turn based strategy game (RPG?)
Hollow knight 100%
Any good shmups on switch?
Enter the gungeon
Danmaku Unlimited 3
Ikaruga
Hollow Knight for sure. But get Ori next it's a pretty good game
OP here just got it

Are they going to release more games on the NES and SNES emus?

I have a massive backlog of games, just finished Syringe DOOM WAD, gonna start with Gatoroboto, also have been enjoying Smash and Super Mario Maker 2.

It's been a while, friends.
if you're looking for platforming get Ori
if you're looking for combat and exploration get HK
ori
>short
>great platforming
>great movement
>great visuals
>great music
hollow knight
>long
>great exploration
>great combat
>great music
they are very different games, ideally get both, but if you're only gonna get one, then it's gonna depend on your preferences
This thread better be alive when I get back or I'm gonna be pissed
Smoke up smokie
da squids do be dabbin doe fr fr
>Fuuka will not accept my confession
I'm gonna fucking cry.
Definitely not Ori
I think Hollow Knight is more enjoyable, but Ori definitely takes the cake when it comes to the music.
