T is not but you can play it with a switch emulator after the others if you’re not dead of old age by then. -

Yeah, I find V so much better than T. T had Arcadia and Gunbuster which were pretty cool (although Gunbuster looked too much like a plastic toy) but not much else.

Cybuster had good animation in X, and they probably reused some SRX animation from the PS4 game, so I’m cautiously optimistic (it will be hopefully better than the slide shows that are magic knights Ray Earth attacks).

This took the winds off my sails been importing and playing this series since the SNES days. Not t really sure how to feel that Hi nu is not a secret, that Voltes was parceled off, and Sakura taisen’s console debuts as a DLC, and in celebration of the anniversary no less.
I was begrudgingly fine with the extra scenarios in VTX, but this… Im not sure I want to buy this now. I guess its good it will come to PC, maybe pirating will be easier.
If they issue a complete version later on, maybe I’ll buy that one.

I would appreciated if they would have had the courtesy of using the series as part of the main cast in the same engine/generation before offering them as DLCs for latter installments like the VX originals in T. Voltes’ last console outing was back in the PS2 IIRC and ST is in as a debut of all things

If they did that then people would’ve just complained about the dlc just being recycled stuff, which in this case only applies to the Hi Nu (and techincally not sinceh the sprite and animations are new).

It’s g gen so it’s expected for you to grind like a disgaea game. The stories are like following the anime so even if you never watched one of the shows you can learn everything by playing it. The DLC isn’t worth it.

Most of the DLC is basically gacha shit where you send out a team of units and wait for them to come back with the rewards. Eventually you get the advertised characters and mechs but you won’t have enough content to use them on unless you like replaying and grinding.

Maybe, but if its anything like x’s if ending, then im shit out of luck. If i remember correctly, you had like 4 or 5 stages to rack 80 kills between 2 units

Most of the secrets are gotten from having some pilots fight enemy pilots. They are kind of obvious if you know that there are secret points in the scenario, but as you won’t you will almost certainly miss them.

For me T just had the worst OG. The Tyranado was possibly the most uninspired new OG mech I have seen in a SRW. Nothing about it was unique or distinct, if it was ever in the OG verse it would probably fit in more design-wise with maybe those late game enemy grunt units than with the rest of the OG roster. Even it’s upgraded final attack was just a really powerful cannon shot and not a specifically interesting one at that. The V and X OG mechs weren’t exactly amazing either but at the very least I could appreciate V’s being 2 different choices and that it could repair whilst with X it had it’s gimmicky magic with it’s attacks and the Dogma spell list. I’m pretty sure I ended up using the Gespent more in T than the Tyranado. What saved the OG side in T were the characters since they were far more interesting with their interactions with each other and the rest of the cast than the OGs in V and X were.

I agree with you on the Tyranado, but I also felt the OG MC lackluster: male MC in T is boring as fuck and female MC is only slightly better, while Soji was pretty fun if cliché, and Iori was at least amusing bickering with his black-heated parrot.
