I seek people out to play games I can’t play alone for whatever reason and then block them after I’ve played what I wanna play with them because I know they’re gonna get all fucking clingy.
I am extremely friendly and cordial during the actual play session in the way a female bartender or twitch streamer is nice to you even though you’re gross.

I have enough friends IRL and already don’t have as much time to spend with them as I wish I did, and online friendships are mostly just socially maladjusted people enabling eachother to keep being socially maladjusted instead of encouraging them to improve, with exceptions of course.
None of those exceptions happen from adding desperately lonely people from Ganker, however.-
