It became a meme almost a decade ago because it’s an annoying as fuck quest item that takes up inventory weight and can’t be removed until you finish the quest. I don’t even bother picking it up anymore.
Quest items should either have 0 weight, or they shouldn’t be protected in your inventory.-
Quest items do have 0 weight (they add nothing to your total carry weight even if they say they have weight)

Note that as soon as they become droppable they have actual weight again, the game just assigns 0 weight to anything it doesn’t let you drop.

Are you sure? Their weights aren’t listed as 0, like in Oblivion.

it doesn’t even have to be like that, just add a context pop-up showing what quest the item is for if you’ve already started it (or show it’s a quest item for an un-discovered quest). then the player should decide if they want to keep it, put in storage or just throw it away.

Really wish they’d add new matrix core events and some extra music tracks too. The music in this game is great but I mostly phase it out now since I’ve heard all so much.

For me the music is still a banger, but I hope they add a new boss. I like fighting dreadnoughts, but I’ve always felt like there was something bigger out there.
Imagine a boss fight in which we kill the behemoth which growls whenever we pick up those damn alien eggs.

did you know that meridia was the one who made the aurorans, her boon bestowed upon the ayleids which allowed them to subjugate the humans of cyrodiil? the more you know!

I remember finding Meridia’s shrine randomly, and her telling me to go fine the beacon, then no quest marker appeared.
I was so confused because she gave me no advice on where it was, so I checked every single area nearby and every chest I came upon for it before I gave up and looked it up. Apparently she was supposed to give me a quest marker and it just didn’t work, so I thought the quest broke and gave up. I later found out it spawned in the dragonborn DLC, and I had to fight those fuggin were-bears in order to get it.

There’s a lot of annoying ass quests in Skyrim; Meridia’s beacon, Barbas, Forsworn Conspiracy, fucking ginger cunt in Riften and their dogshit ass guild, but none of them replace om the road encounters.
I fucking hate Pyriate and hia fucking followers, fucking disease ridden dipshits don’t even have good loot on them and they don’t fuck off till you meet Kesh. Fucking faggot.
