Its the daily life of Morrigan because it would be more erotic if erotic characteres had a normal life. Tonight she’s thinking of making an elegant scrambled egg bowl, because the eggs were so cheap she bought 3 packs.

Its more of a question like "wouldnt it be more erotic if we could glimpse into the normal life of erotic characters?"

Stop spamming threads for starters. Second, it’s beyond repair. Third, Ganker is incapable of anything other than complaining. Fourth, nobody will buy it because there is no draw to the series. Might as well ask about Fighting Vipers or Powerstone while you’re at it.

Retard. Morrigan is all the draw you need. She’s super famous from all the porn.

Why go through the effort of making a whole game when the only thing people care about is the two succubi and maybe Felicia? Just make figurines at that point (which they are doing instead of making a new Darkstalkers game)

Fighting games dont sell besides 2 or 3 established IPs and Darkstalkers strong points were its artstyle and top notch animations which todays Capcom cant replicate

Weird thread. Literally all you need to do is make a good new Darkstalkers game. It’s not that hard.

You can’t either. All you can do is pointlessly daydream. This is not conducive to any sort of success and you need to stop pretending that is, much like sitting around and daydreaming about that closeted project of yours is akin to """conceptualizing success""""

people will complain about a new darkstalkers no matter what it’s like. capcom is held to a higher standard than every other fighting game developer.

Capcom has made several shitty games in a row. SF5 is objectively a bad game. So is Marvel Infinity. Those are not people "complaining no matter what", those are objectively bad games that are designed wrong.

Because they actually used to make extremely high quality games, unlike most devs.

Hand animated, 2D fighter. Keep the budget under one or two million dollars (Like Cuphead) and focus on making it gorgeous and appealing to the fighting community
Maybe it won’t do Smash numbers, but it would 100% turn a profit for a small investment.

Oh and before someone says "You have no idea how much animation costs! It’s billions!" I’m talking about traditional animation which are the most EASILY EXPLOITED PROFESSIONALS in the entire industry. A talented producer could absolutely make a high quality, smoothly animated fighter for less than two million.
The issue is "Talented producer" and "Capcom" don’t mix.

And all they need to do is look Kenzo Tsujimoto in the eye and give him a nice firm handshake.

If no they will have to outsource.

I don’t picture it being animated by in house salaried employees, but rather by young and independent animators who would be brought on temporarily and paid for the duration of development as contractors.
There are plenty of excruciatingly talented animators who would do this.

        >
Don’t be stupid, Cuphead had a fraction of the art and animation a new Darkstalkers would need. Skullgirls cost USD 1.7 million, had 8 characters at launch and had a passionate team working for peanuts. If Darkstalkers launched with less than 16 you’d bitch and moan so you’re talking about a USD 5 million dollar project, minimum.
        >2D vs 3D is irrelevant in 2021. You need people who understand the fundamentals of animation. There’s a reason why SFIV and SFV look stiff and it’s not because of the 3D models. Capcom doesn’t have the same animators as they had when Darkstalkers and SFIII were made.

Yeah bro just get the guys who did the in-between frames on Dragon Ball Super to whip up your new Darkstalkers game. No biggie. Oh wait you don’t want it to look like shit? You actually need every frame to be high quality or else the game might actually be unplayable?

The caliber of art director you’d need to storyboard each character’s frames doesn’t come cheap. A talented animator who doesn’t extensive experience making game sprites will need months of training. Or you have another employee who knows how to prepare assets, which means you now need more people on the team.

        >A talented producer could absolutely make a high quality, smoothly animated fighter for less than two million.

According to ArcSys and SNK, each character in their HD 2D fighters cost about USD $200,000. Do the math.

Before we can do that, we need to figure out what the FUCK happened to Capcom’s fighting game division internally after the release of Street Fighter x Tekken. It’s like they fired everyone and outsourced every game to India since.

The teams that worked on the CPS2 and 3 games were fired or disbanded
What remained was the guys who worked on Rival schools which explains the current situation

You can’t, fighting games are about DLC esports scams now, not actually making a fun game. If they made a new one they’d strip out a good deal of the mechanics, censor a buncha random shit, expect you to shell out money for legacy characters and not have any of the legendary animation intact. Hey but at least you’ll get your Capcom roided out proportions that Ganker likes to cream over.
