I can confirm this mission is still present in the Definitive Edition. The mission they had the most trouble with, with the "woke" people within Rockstar was "Kingdom Come" in GTA3.
It’s still called the Faggio, as it has been in GTA4 and GTA5.
BMX’s have also been added to Vice City… Motorcycles have been added to GTA3 as well as BMX’s.

It’s a small community…

With GTA: The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, they’ve projected to their share holders this is where most of the revenue away from GTA:O is to come from… If it’s not up to scuff, they won’t meet that target and we’ll all be very happy.

Mafia remake did some things right but all in all it was inferior to the original.
Better graphics and presentation, expanded lore and character interactions and the great racing mission did not compensate for the cookie cutter ultralinear arena shooting and pursuit breaker chases the bulk of the game was replaced with.

Rockstar paid for the minimum license for the songs available (5-10 years, depending on the song/artist/label) for these games. They did not think they would be selling them 10+ years afterwards or looking to move them up to a new generation, just like Activision with Tony Hawk.
Rockstar will have a very fat bill to pay for Michael Jackson’s music in Vice City and also most of the San Andreas soundtrack.
It will come down to Take 2 determining if it’s worth it to pay for the songs, not Rockstar… spoilers, they won’t pay for it.

As, if I recall, Rockstar openly admitted that it would be hard to create a GTA6 in today’s client/culture, I honestly don’t know how they are going to handle these. Personally, I think they are fucked either way; if they change too much it’s going to be a shit show and if they change too little it’s going to be a shit show. Probably will just come down to if Rockstar wants to prefer to get shit from original fans or if they want to get shit from the politically correct twitter/twitch streamer crowd.

Only for printings beyond the first edition and only that one song across the three games, other than that the PS2 trilogy versions are the same as the standalone copies, maybe with some stability or bug fixes but I wouldn’t notice

Well, other than the $70 price tag on the PS5 and Series X, and removing the sale of the original trilogy from Steam, and suing the people who fixed two PC ports that were broken for more or less 20 years and shutting down a dozen fan mods, I can’t in all good conscience support them whatever the end result is. I’m just glad I have original copies of the games on the PC and PS2 and backups of the mods.

They are not remaking the fucking games in Unreal, they are only using Unreal for the UI that lets you select which game to play and change settings. Before the studio who is working on this was bought by Take2 they were known as Ruffian Games. Ruffian Games are also the guys who worked on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. HMCC also uses Unreal 4 for it’s UI for selecting which games to play.
No company is going to completely recreate 3 games in a completely different engine when they can just touch them up and people will buy them again. They can make Renderware run on whatever the fuck they want, it only has games using it on every architecture imaginable and if they’re missing one they’ll just port it over. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO COMPLETELY REMAKE THE ENTIRE THREE GAMES INSTEAD OF JUST DEVELOPING A BUILD FOR A NEW ARCHITECTURE. From now on every time you see someone saying they’re going to remake the games in Unreal call them a retard like they are.
