Oh, fuck you man. Tactics Ogre is even more boring than Trails in the Sky. Why don’t you just admit that this is simply your biased opinion.
Fuck you too. All the problems of the series are there since the beginning of Sky, but Sky is even worse because it has absolutely SHIT pacing. World building and character arcs only get good in Third. Honestly, since these games are formulaic as fuck, I’d honestly say people are better either playing only Cold Steel or only Cold Steel and Crossbell. No one should play Hajimari and Kuro no Kiseki either since those are Cold Steel 4 2 and Cold Steel 4 3. Also, two other things: Cold Steel 1 and 2 are just as good as the Crossbell games unironically, Cold Steel 2 being one of the only games in the series where there is weight to its conflicts and losses. Rean is also the best protagonist of the series if you actually look deep into him instead of being a retard going "haha" all the time.
Last but not least, for anyone getting into this series, don’t ever interact with Falcomfags, they are the absolute scum of the earth, dumb, contrarians and hipsters just for the sake of it.-

i haven’t played 9 yet, but from the reactions i’ve seen here, it seems 9 is more of the same gameplay with minor add ons and with a more monotous background.

IX is mostly a step down. The main cast is good and the dungeons fun, but the pacing is kind of schizophrenic with how it constantly flip-flops between fast-paced action and Trails-esque exposition dumps and NPC interactions.

If you like 8 you will like 9. Though I still prefer 8 since the island exploration every chapter was more interesting to me over unlocking new districts in the city.
