Remake is a close contender for me
In terms of horror in the RE series for me it goes like this
RE7>Remake>RE2remake>RE3>RE2>RE1>RE0>REoutbreak>RE4>RE8>RE3remake>Revelations>revelations2>RE5>RE6-
solid list. i might bump outbreak and 0 ahead of RE1 and i thought revelations 2 was a little spookier than the first.

I want RE to go back to this more grounded close to home horror
RE8 was fun but it was far too goofy too be scary with it’s castles and old villages and shit
I want to go back to creepy old lived in houses that tell a story just from the environment.-

I had never played a RE game but decided to try 7. It’s amazing. What other RE games should I check out after? I saw games with gold had one for free so I snagged that but I don’t remember which one it was

honestly the only ones that are outright not worth playing are 6 and the light gun games. 5 is generally regarded as one of the worst and even that is fun with a friend.

RE Remake is easily one of the greatest games of all time.

I just wish Lucas had been a scary hunter with a vicious hound instead of an autistic redneck with a Saw fetish. I get the feeling they were told to tone down the game from whatever the original concept was though.

The whole package works very well as a simple tight experience.RE8 have a amazing cast and probablt the only OST of the franchise in wich i can remember to this day but everything else lacks somehting. -
7 is better up until you leave the main baker house. 8 is more consistent overall
