      >That moment when you realize that Big Boss was never your friend in Peace Walker and was always your sworn archenemy
There was signs in PW that BB would do what he did to Venom.

Are you gonna elaborate or should we just take your fucking word for it?

Of course it’s the latter, it’s a V schizo who read synopsis of PW in the TPP loading screen and a summary tape from troy baker.

lmfao you’re really gonna show one of BB’s most compassionate scenes as an argument for why he was evil the whole time?

I don’t think you realize just how fucking traumatic a mock execution would be to a child. Terrorists do that shit to torture people. He did this to forcibly recruit a child into his army. He claimed ownership of chico’s life.

CIA diverse folk were already torturing him before big boss rescued him.
That’s what chico asked for you dumb fuck.
That’s what amanda asked Big Boss to do to spare him the shame

Chico was a kid who was already in way over his head, Big Boss was there to show him the horrors and consequences of war and to tell him to chill the fuck out.
BB still allowed Chico to be part of his "army" but obviously not on the front lines like he wanted cause it’d be inhumane.

Not many other options for a 12 year old south american in the 70’s.

It’s one thing to be forced to fight, it’s another to be eager to fight like Chico was.

            Huh?
And when talking with huey about ecigs, he says he has no use for knock-offs so he wouldn’t go along with the plan.

I mean, in PW he’s a very, very impersonal utilitarian that would do anything it takes for ”’revolution”’ and will hide a nuke for his own safety. He idolizes a war criminal psycho communist, for fucks sake.

            >war criminal psycho communist

Not him, but Che absolutely was a war criminal psycho communist lol, look at what he did in La Cabaña
Not to mention he was extremely incompetent in anything other than killing people. He fucking tanked the Cuban economy in record time with silly projects like trying to replicate the Coke formula. Fidel had a field day with him.

          Meds now.
Big boss doesn’t give a shit, he’s going to arm palestinians just because it’s a conflict with a side to back for the sake of fighting

Big Boss/Naked’s core principle is that soldiers shouldn’t be manipulated and discarded for the ulterior motives of their superiors. That Soldiers should be able to pick the causes they fight for. This motivation was instilled in him by the way the US Government manipulated and sacrificed The Boss for their own desire for the Philosopher’s Legacy.
Naked then goes ahead with Ocelot’s manipulation of Medic/Venom, allowing his full personality to be wiped, all so that Naked can combat Cipher more safely. There’s never a consideration of what Venom wants or believes in, so much so that they eradicate most of his personality and replace it with a facsimile of BB;s

I don’t really care about retarded asspull of a story.
I did enjoy MGSV, though, and that only made dissatisfaction from the fact that the game is such a mess in every aspect aside from gameplay and visuals only worse.
Also, BB has dope jacket in that bike cutscene.

Venom didn’t even exist when PW came out and BB was a villain from the very beginning

Venom is so much of an afterthought he spawns out of fucking nowhere inside the helicopter, is a dogshit doctor, doesn’t have a name, past, or a codename like literally everyone else in PW does.

Villainy and Heroism is a matter of perspective, mythologizing of people aside.
That’s the point Peace Walker was making with Che Guevara parallel.
If by "very beginning" you mean MG1 where nobody really had much personality and big boss was there to be a twist that your commander is the final boss and he was forgetting crucial gameplay tips on purpose.
MG2SS fleshed him out a bit more, and MGS1 started mythologizing his DNA.

          >Villainy and Heroism is a matter of perspective, mythologizing of people aside.
Venom and Big Boss eventually diverge paths so much that Venom considers Big Boss a villain with absolute certainty in his own subconscious as "opposites of good and evil"

I think Venom does what he does not out of loyalty to the end (especially since there’s no war that he could possibly prevent) but rather to paint Big Boss as "black = evil" and Snake as the "white = good," going against the whole point of The Boss’s Taoist motto that good and evil are relative.

The irony is that Snake in MGS1 is the black and Liquid is the white

            >The irony is that Snake in MGS1 is the black and Liquid is the white
I really wonder why people never bring up this point much, all they care about is muh Wolfmantis Raven heartwarming touching boss dialogue, the obvious speech about how genes don’t determine personality, YOU ENJOY ALL THE KILLING, but never anything about Solid and Liquid’s dynamic other than that they are twins and have a beefy hate for each other.

Snake being a messenger of darkness yet doing good in the name of justice and Liquid being a messenger of light yet doing evil in the name of the flames is a message outcrying against and denouncing the concept of inherence, prejudice, and therefore race. It also fits in with Snake’s predisposition to killing having nothing to do with the fact that he does good.

Overall, MGS1 is a story against racism and it reinforces what The Boss says in MGS3.

I have played through every MG game, both in Chronological order, and release order.
I’ve read wikia pages, reddit’s, etc.
But I STILL don’t fucking know the following:
      >Why zero became a generic evil guy
      >What the fuck the point of "a world united with the constant threat of nukes" even means, or why ti means no more war
      >How EVERYONE fucks up the bosses wish which could literally be solved with "no more war".
      >Who the fuck are the La Li Lu Le Lo, are they actual people or a group of AI’s that somehow control the world?
      >Are groups actually afraid of Big Boss? He’s literally just one idiot who’s only done 2 big missions, there’s nothing really paranormal about him except his combat prowess but MGS V makes it sound like the world is creating metal gears and nukes and shit to counter 1 man which is fucking dumb

The Boss: I want no more war, so soldiers always have a place, cause ya know there’ll be no more war so everyone is a citizen

Big Boss: IM GONNA MAKE A NATION OF ONLY SOLDIERS FOR SOME REASON

Liquid: NANOMACHINES THAT ALLOW THESE BIO SOLDIERS TO LIVE BETTER LIVES

Liquid Ocelot: NUKE THE WORLD BACK TO THE STONE AGE FOR SOME REASON

      Zero: PARASITES AND AI

Skullface: RID THE WORLD OF ENGLISH SO THE ONLY LANGUAGE IS A STICK AND NUKES

How did everyone, fuck up The Bosses will so fucking hard? She literally couldn’t make it any clearer then, "no more fucking war". Yet the only thing people took out of it is "lets doom the world".

Is it because she was constantly talking about philosophies and shit so she confused everyone’s monkey brain?

Ehm BiBo literally had no fucking clue until he woke up from his 9 year long coma after PW. He didn’t do shit other than agreeing to a plan that was bascially already set in stone and Venom was already no longer Venom. Saying no at that point would be retarded and STILL he was about to say no at first. That’s how EBIL he was.

      • #423591

        Guest

Big Boss trains Solid Snake. Medic is running Outer Heaven in coordination with Big Boss.
Big Boss is still the one that tells Snake that "I am your father," not Venom.
Solid Snake never meets Venom until Outer Heaven. He gets nightmares because suddenly out of nowhere "Big Boss is wearing a demon tail and a red demonic arm." It explains why Snake has PTSD.
