Me and a afriend were OBSESSED with beating this game on titan difficulty. We also made up shit like Atlantis being real(We real Plato in school)
And Arkantos Being a real person who didnt became god but died shit like that.
We even made our own maps in the editor.

This.. I’ve recently been reading Norse myths and they purposely make ancient gods petty for a multitude of reasons. One of which is so that one could explain some phenomena like lightnings and shit. For example, the crackling embers are supposedly Loki beating his children.

Man, All the little details they put into the campaign maps, especially in the expansion, were great. probably what inspired me to get into model train Dioramas later in life.
I love that the island in the second level of the Atlantean campaign had so many hidden nooks and crannys where you could find more cloud passages or extra resources. most of them totally unnecessary if you just wanted to beat the level as fast as possible.
The Egyptian chapter was probably my least favourite since over half the levels were survival or timed missions so you couldn’t fuck around and explore the comfy maps. Although the assault on Kemset’s island fortress was still a fun highlight-
oh man I feel you, for me it’s the mission in the Titans expansion where you attack general Melagius, absolutely loved the map, especially the little fishing village next to Polyphemus’ cave that you can take over, I’d just ignore the objectives and build up a cool little fort

He’s good, but not overpowered. Can defeat most myth and hero units; his attack is a bit slow and he can get ganked if you’re not careful, however his attacks hit hard and the chain effect compensates somewhat.
