Probably that Dream Theater song from RB2. The name is currently escaping me. My cousins and I played that one challenge of completing all 84 songs on expert in a row without losing once. We made it all the way to the last few before we were stopped by Visions.

I’m jealous, but also fuck paying that for a pedal when you can do this shit electronically. I have a bunch of ibanez pedals that’re like $70 each. The delay is fucking fantastic, but the tubescreamer is a real piece of shit. Dno if it’s a bad pedal or if it just sounds like fucking garbage.

How on earth does any of that contradict what I posted? Most people wouldn’t commit the two months it takes to get their stamina up let alone practicing to play ramones within a year. Come on now.
And what with that 1000 bucks worth of pedals, you just added to my point. Real musical equipment is also expensive. In Guitar Hero’s heyday, all you needed was two or three hundred bucks and you could get a PS2, the game, and the guitar controller. Probably less. And that’s just assuming you didn’t already have a PS2 or some other game console that had GH on it.
TL;DR the barrier to entry is far lower than playing a real instrument and that’s why GH was popular.

Because if it takes a video game to get you interested in the guitar then you’ll never have the drive to get farther than your local sports bar. Unless you’ve got a career as a musician shut your fat faggot mouth about muh learn an instrument. I had plenty of fun playing GH/Rock Band with friends in college instead of playing shitty covers of GH/RB songs for like 10 people who’d much rather drink and talk with friends.

You can master guitar hero in about 20 hours and then go straight to expert on every sequel.
