The game isn’t actually calling you a bad person for doing the things you did. It’s fiction, it’s a story that wants you to engage with it. I know your feelings are very easily hurt, and I’m sorry the game was mean to you, but you’ll get over it someday.

Those are just loading screens, and I thought it was pretty interesting how they broke the 4th wall, people need to understand that it’s not saying the player is bad because they are Walker, more that they have too much in common with walker, this was released when there were like 20 cod clones a year and kids were used to mindlessly gunning down sand people so it was a breath of fresh air and I love the game for it, hell people still talk about it thats proof enough it left an impression on people

When your videogame story depends upon a decision and that decision doesn’t belong to the player then the videogame has failed to justify itself as such. It’s a video game story, your playing along with a story like most games do, funnily enough the devs were actually planning on including the option to not use the white phosphorus but it got cut so they could focus on a more linear story, I think it’s fine it couldnt have been done any differently other than maybe doing a cut scene but that would have removed a lot of the impact
