Fusion one was ruined by eyerape yellow and pink elements. Dread suit looks much better because it replaced pink with red and yellow with white. It’s just a lot more aesthetic.

fun fact: the artist who designed this version of Samus got fired early on and didn’t get any credit. MercurySteam did this with programmers too. They hired the best talent in Spain and then proceeded to either treat them like shit, pull tricks to pay them less than agreed, or outright fire them

Not an official suit, but I liked the Gravity Suit Mod for Other M. It looks cool when the visor glows purple under gravity effects.

Yeah, I love that game’s Gravity Suit. Honestly a shame they didn’t do a Figma of that game’s suits but I guess it makes sense since it was a remake on the 3DS
They make high quality figures of characters. Samus already has 3, one based on Prime 3, one based on Otjer M, and an Other M Zero Suit Samus

This, remember this is supposed to be Fusion Sequel more then anything.
For Fusion, they changed Samus’s animations to be a lot more quicker and angle looking, but at the same time Samus herself takes on average a lot more damage from attacks, and they kept this theme with Dread.
Also fun fact, SA-X has all of Samus’s animations and jump physics from Super.

Heavy Samus on the right is awesome as a what-if thing. And I actually think the assymetrical shoulder thing looks cool and unique, dont know why some seem to hate them. Same with the Batman-like gauntlets with the spikes on the left arm, aka the same ones the Fusion Suit had, its a shame those spikes are not on the final suit.

Its because the suit is still fixing itself after fusion. All those gaps in the armor really bring down the defensive capabilities of the suit ya know. I just wonder WHY the armor plating is white and not orange. Is it another layer of armor? Just how many layers does it have in addition to its shields?

I’d guess its like a bug’s exoskeleton, when freshly born its typically pale or even translucent and quite soft. As it grows it hardens and gains its proper coloration.
The white bits will likely eventually turn into the gold we’re used to.-
It kind of crazy how the suit can even repair itself at all. Since the suit is tied to Samus, can she feel that? Does it itch?

My favourite thing about Fusion is her animations.
If you look closely, everything she does she seems to do with a lot more effort, because so much of the suits mechanics are gone.Normally she rests her hand on her cannon, but in Fusion she’s supporting the cannon from underneath. And she’s always hunched over, and flinches when jumping and shit.
And then when you see the SA-X it’s standing straight, resting on the cannon, backflipping all over the place.-
This is actually the most apparent retroactively with the ledge grab animation and how in every other game she can hold herself and shoot while in Fusion she needs both to support herself (even though it was the origin of the mechanic).

The ending implies that the Thoha genes she takes in from X-Quiet Beak either made the Metroid powers dormant again or let her control them, so we might not see it in future games since she probably doesn’t want to go berserk and become a legitimate threat to the galaxy again. If I remember Dread was also discussed as basically being the conclusion to the "Metroids-as-bioweapons" storyline, they can only reuse the same basic premise so many times.
It would be really cool seeing it integrated into future games though, even just something as simple as Samus using her hand-drain execution to gain her power-ups.-
True but seeing how she was able to control her ship again, I think it’s the former of what you said where it went dormant again. In Fusion, her Thoha genes acted as a soft lock but her getting full Thoha genes from QR-X may have created a hard lock. We may not see the Metroid Suit anytime soon, the Hyper Beam’s a different story since that’s Samus’s latent ability that first appeared in Super Metroid when she wasn’t a Metroid.

I’d presume when she reverts those weapons disappear.I’d like to think in future games her metroid powers are still present, but more subdued. Like using her power to finish off bosses, and absorb energy from devices.
