It’s complicated and convoluted just for the sake of being complicated and convoluted: denies, horrid inventory+courier management, items are not easy nor intuitive to use & choose, resetting camps with a precise timing that feels more like a bug than a feature etc. Instead of simplifying these systems, they double down: now we have neutral items with their own set of complications, aghanim shards etc…
People who play this game take pride in it because they get their elitist fix or something.-

Spraying should be more random to the point it’s almost entirely ineffective. Too many guns will give you a free headshot if you just point in the vicinity of the target and hold mouse 1.

I’m installing CSGO for the first time right now, haven’t played a fps in a long time.
Tips?

Play casual first and then ranked. Only use M4/AK/AWP and Deagle also don’t run around a lot and always hide behind something also use your ears for hearing footsteps. You’ll get the hang of it after like 10 or so games.

-do the achievements and familiarize yourself with all weapons
-use utility(no need for tryhard nades just simple stuff)
-use the rader and keep track of who’s alive and what’s happening on the map
-stick to the objective and help your teammates
-listen for footsteps and don’t make any noise if you’re alone
-CSGO is a grind, mostly learning the maps and you just have to do the grind like everyone elseThis is just the beginning, but it’s good start. Tbh you’re looking at hundreds of hours before becoming somewhat competitive and not just food for the elites. If you do try ranked mode just expect the worst, cheaters, retards, toxic people and kind of bullshit.

On Steam? Probably not for a long time. At one point, it seemed like Dota 2 was poised to take the throne but because Valve seems to like running the game into the ground every chance they get, that likely won’t happen. Outside of steam League, Fortnite, and Genshin are all more popular games.

it does feel like CSGO is in its last days though, the corona thing prolonged its dwindling life and it feels like this game has one major left this year and then basically we have to wait to see what they can do to make it fresh or different. Right now Valve has nothing exciting except skins.
Skins ironically are now more interesting than the game. Their changes are lazy stuff like droppable nades which is mostly a novelty that becomes old quickly. They also keep changing weapon stats like how the M4A1S is now meta but they also destroyed the SG.
Meanwhile the real issues like cheaters don’t get addressed. CSGO is just skins until they make a new game.

CS:GO is weird. It’s not just a tacticool strategy shooter on the same few maps. In addition to getting updates, there is this entire unspoken metagame where basically everyone cheats but they are trying their hardest not to appear as if they are cheating, which means figuring out how to play so that you’re able to dupe not just your enemies but your teammates and anonymous overwatch spectators. Skill in CS:GO almost takes a backseat to your ability to assist a script in playing the game and evading consequences for as long as possible.
