Elite controllers have horrible build quality. I have an Elite 2 and the soft plastic is deformed around the trigger now, already had to glue it back down twice. Also my top right paddle sometimes doesn't register correctly anymore resulting in presses instead of holding it down. Also wish they didn't make the battery an internal one.
My Deck still functions perfectly.
I own 2. The first one's grips started to peel after the first year, so I bought shell replacements from extremerate that are better than standard.
The only way to fix the fucked up shoulder buttons is to use deoxit or replace and solder on new switches. Deoxit works fine most of the time. I have no idea why they decided to use such shitty switches for those specifically, yet the back buttons still work fine.
haven't tried but i bet the dpad still sucks ass like always. but anyway it's missing out on features that other same price controllers have so there's basically no reason to get one unless you've xbox series x
The keyboard meme these days is thunkhomosexualry.
Something actually feeling mechanical and not like you're sliding a fist into a jar of mayo is apparently "gross".
Asymmetry does matter if you're human because your thumbs will be colliding on a Playstation style layout. Smol hands ergonomics is why only azns and manlet 3rdies like it.
>4 rear buttons + 6 face buttons >Hall effect sticks >Stick recalibration function because why not >Switchable triggers >Built-in gyro-as-stick conversion that works with virtually every game >switch pro controller mode for emulation
All that for 60 bucks, but scuf israelites don't want you to know about it
>Stick recalibration >Hall effect >having 6 buttons
one of these things don't make sense
also >but making the extra buttons not black and white
unacceptable trash
I got a black one with bluetooth that cuts out and it's shit. I got a Starfield controller that has much comfier grips and no bluetooth dropout and it's decent. All three controllers can be ok if you get the right revision but the first Switch pro controller I had had bad diagonals.
psssssssssssssssssssssh nothin personnel kid
>that hand
what the fuck
those hands looks ai generated
>no back paddles/buttons
No it's not.
Elite Controller 2 has 4 back paddle buttons
that being said I'd still rather use steam controller

Not the shoulder button, the top right back button/paddle.

Is the d-pad good?
it's pretty close to the touchscreen dpad on an android Gameboy emulator
Not with that d pad
>Retarded stick placement
No.

No. The dualshock and gamecube controller are. Gamecube controller is literally perfect and still used by everyone today.
>clickity-clack clickity-clack
.t the best video controller of all time
>senpai noticed me
Genuinely one of the worst controllers I have ever used
>but n64
at least it didn't have a fucktarded layout and pointlessly shitty triggers
>he couldn't handle the PLUNGE
ngmi
Post proof.
>samefag posting the same post over and over
nagger, everyone loves clicking sounds. They literally make keyboards for clickfags.

>have to sign up to use the accessories app to remap my controller
heckin yikes fama'llama
What's a good controller for retro games & platformers?
I wanted this but they're not selling it anymore

>another thread of consolewar shitflinging from people that don't understand ergonomics as if the symmetry / asymmetry of sticks even matters
Asymmetry does matter if you're human because your thumbs will be colliding on a Playstation style layout. Smol hands ergonomics is why only azns and manlet 3rdies like it.
>everytime the cries over the correct analog stick placement
>it's a disfigured obeese man
>everytime there are cries over the correct analog stick placement
>it's a brownoid with an inferiority complex and short fingers
ftfy
weird post spider but okay
i got an 8bitdoo and its good but i wish the dpad was buttons, then it'd be completely fine
