Unreal, Ganker. Unreal.
Worth playing? I recently played Quake for the first time and it was ludo.
Arguably a better game, at least it feels more advanced. At the very last weapons are more fun to use.
Absolutely, but it's not at all an id game.
Eh, it's worth seeing, just to appreciate the history, but it doesn't compare to Quake at all. Very stiff and boring. It's like Q2, but worse.
But 2 is just 1 with a different coal of paint and backtracking because fuck you.
have a nice day.
huh ? quake is absolutely fucking whatever and I beat both games this very year
unreal base game > quake base game
I don't think that highly of the single player from a gameplay perspective, but
>great locations
>unique atmosphere
>amazing OST
yes, play on normal, as it's harder than q1, also it comes with an expansion pack "return to napali"
227 patch is essential to get it to work on modern systems
I just finished unreal on normal and returned to q1 expansions to play on nightmare and it's a breeze
It has fun gameplay but it's about twice as long as it should be. The game runs out of steam halfway and just repeats itself.
Absolutely. You 100% need the fanpatch for it though. Also return to na pali blows don't bother.
Unreal was a weird game because there's like castles and stuff on an alien planet.
space fantasy is kino and infinitely better than all the military shooters we got later
Yes, as we all know, other planets are not allowed to be more primitive than us.
We could say it is unreal.
Time is cyclical. Before cavemen had caves they lived in skyscrapers.
Time is cubic
It's by far my favorite FPS of all time. Even now I still think it looks great and just pulls you in.
Definitely doesn't get enough credit.
are they giving it away for free or something?
>are they giving it away for free or something?
lol no
all the old unreal games were delisted
Tim Sweeney hates your guts.
I've been trying to play unreal for the past few days and it's just so fucking boring
the beautiful vistas don't make up for the miserable gunplay and movement, I got a lot more enjoyment out of SiN and that game got so exasperating by the time of the underwater levels I gave up on it
>exiting the vortex riker for the first time as a 10 year old
Absolutely magical experience. I was blown the fuck away at the waterfall and cliff edge facing it, I was shocked I could even just jump off and explode on the grass below. The scale and accessibility of the Vortex Rikers crash site to this day BTFO's most FPS levels.
God, we didn't know how good we had it.
One of my favorite games, for sure. Haven't done a play through in a while, but I still listen to the sound track. Dusk Horizon, Shared Dig, All Hallow's Sunset, and Sunspire all the way. Also enjoyed the story telling approach in the game. Lots of little details to be picked up with the translator that are easy to miss the first few times around.
Still don't get why they delisted all the games (not even to just keep them on their shitty launcher).
Literally the only way to play the game now — assuming you haven't already bought it — is to pirate it.
Tim Sweeney is a fucking moron.
Tim, release the source code so we can have a good port.
Fuck hiro for bringing that stupid fucking cloudflare challenge, its does not work, fix your shitty site HIRO.
Played through both campaigns and shiton of campaign mods in coop just a month ago
shit was cash
Unreal Co-op really is something. It's one thing to experience the campaign on your own, it's another to have some buddies get amazed with you.
>online co-op
>over 9000 type of guns that are beyond OP and retarded
>every server you joined had something new you never knew what you were getting into
>Every gun and item stacked together by spawn
>Procead to RIP AND TEAR everything a new asshole including the fucking pussy neli
comfy
Thats a lotta tiddy
Is it viable to play on Hard if I never touched an unreal game (other than a UT2004 demo) and I'm almost getting my arse handed to myself in the "mines"?
Also, is there a way to make the mouse feel natural? I've enabled direct entry but it gets disabled and the crosshair still feels floaty
As someone who has beat it on godlike 3 times, I would say yes Hard is fine. Godlike is where you need to have some good FPS skills to do well (aiming while dodging/evading in particular). The Skaarj in the late game will crush you no matter what, but on hard at-least you will survive the hitscanners and the 1 shotting bio gun guys.
were you actually an incarnation of the warrior princess?
As much as I want to think it's all a happy co-incidence for the Nali to have a killing machine of a prisoner arrive at just the right time, I do think Prisoner 849 was an incarnation. There's too many supernatural elements and occurrences in the game proper to see otherwise. 849 is 100% the Warrior Princess coming back to kick some bug/reptile ass.
>infiltrating the outpost and this kicks in
Don't mind me, just making based video game music that defines the late 90's-early 00's
is that coomer?
Valley of spires is the best thing that ever happened to tracker music
Lmao and it got delisted because someone is a fucking gay who sucks chink cock.
God forbid you take pride in the game the fucking flagship game that showed off your engine and changed PC gaming forever.
lads I'm stuck at the terranius section with the hydroponic gardens, I can't figure out how to get through to to the control room to progress to the next area behind glass
the section b room has a button but doesn't seem to do anything
nvm i am retard sleepyhead
missed an elevator button and forgot to use my falshlight
gina booba good
>called unreal
>actually is real
