Currently, League of Legends is being overrun by bots in ranked play.
Some ranked matches have 3 bots, completely ruining the game. Any discussion of this on their official subreddit is shutdown immediately, as expected, since Reddit is for homosexuals.
Some suspect members of the moderation staff are involved in botting and account selling.
Riot has no plans to stop this since it's just more revenue opportunities. More accounts = more skins sold.

bet the bots play better than average subhuman loltard anyway
Unfortunately, they usually just afk and feed the enemy, which the average player does as well but whatever
How can you even tell the difference between a bot and a LoL player?
The bot won't insult you in russian/chinese/broken english while being equally shit at the game as the human player.
They don't actively participate. Jungle bots will just infinitely complete their camp rotation, taking no objectives and no ganks.
Support bots will aimlessly follow the ADC, randomly spamming abilities
Mid bots will just walk down lane, take a few cs then return.
Never seen a Top bot yet
These accounts are not automated through Riot, they're made by 3rd parties and bot ranked matches to lower their MMR since the most valuable accounts to resell are the lowest rank, Iron 4, which is actually quite difficult to place in. So yeah, they're included in player count but Riot isn't intentionally doing it to bloat their numbers unless something more nefarious is happening
>the most valuable accounts to resell are the lowest rank
what
Yeah, it seems counterintuitive but the accounts with the highest demand are the absolute lowest rank, Iron 4.
One type of person that buys accounts regularly does so to smurf so they want to have the lowest rank so they have to buy accounts less often.
can't they just make a new account and throw every match
That takes time away from power tripping over beating people a couple ranks lower than them
I think it takes about 100 hours of unranked matches without XP boosts to reach level 30 and be eligible for ranked matches. So instead, they pay anywhere from $10-$15 for an account.
All modern games do this kek. Latest example is KartRider: Drift, where you are competing 80% of the time against bots. It's to bloat numbers and make people think the game is more active than it is. Soulless tactics for soulless games that are actually services
Does Riot count the bots in their "muh 500 gorillion players"?
>not just playing ARAM
take the funpill
>being stuck in bronze so hard you have to claim bots are the reason you can't climb
Yikes. I know LoLtards are by and large braindamaged but you can't be this stupid.
No one is claiming bots are the reason people can't climb. I played on an unranked alt account this morning to do my promos for the new season and each team had a jungle bot, which just roamed around their camps for 20 minutes. The enemy also had a support bot.
You must be an account seller, which seem to be the only people trying to deny their prevalence in low elo. Please have a nice day Black person
At least it's not like tf2 bots
Don't care, Riot dug themselves into this hole. They don't give a shit about LoL, they censor female characters now, constantly add LGBT, ruin lore 24/7 that no one cares, can't balance for shit, no new game modes, and the cinematic this year was just placed in Unreal Engine 5 and only explored Summoner's Rift.
I hope those diversity hires they constantly hire eventually tank the company like how Blizzard no longer has an audience for any of their games.
It would be the most funny thing ever if somehow DOTA 2 and Smite get more players.

Good, frick that shitty ass game and frick the homosexuals who ""play"" it
