But it was in the top before the anime was even out. It just climbed to number 1 and stayed there for a few weeks when the anime came out. So yes, the anime boosted sales but the game was already selling well. It is an amazing game afterall.
I am hopeful for the expansion, but the success of the game probably means we will never get the Bethesda style cyberpunk RPG we were originally promised. Fricking Poles
the anime and game have frick all to do with each other, except they share the setting
The game is western-realismo autismo ugly, and it "subverts expectations" by not tackling the main subject of the cyberpunk genre (What it means to be human / ship of theseus) and instead delivering an unsure plot about picking a meaning for your life.
They do this as if cyberpunk was overdone, when nobody was doing it except one (1) movie in the last 20 years.
It's also a completely broken RPG where by the time you get to pick 5 perks you're an untouchable god on any difficulty, just like Witcher 3.
>Welcome to night city >where you can be literally everything you want >get chromed to be as fricked up as you want >except a smaller body, that's a no no
Do they hear themselves?
There was an obvious effort in 2077 to avoid sexuallizing women the "wrong way". All of the females in the game have B cups at the absolute largest, when you know IRL a lot of b***hes would be walking around with hyper-advanced cyberware that gives them an iron spine to carry their basketball sized breasts.
people heavily underestimate the power of anime
>didn't even get into the netflix top 10
Tell that to the countless anime tie-in games that can't even sell 50k.
I bought the game just because I liked Edgerunners. I shouldn't have becaise the game sucks.

>N-no the acting in the dubbed version is top notch! It's movie quality! It's not cringe at all!

The game is shit and the only good part about Edgerunners was watching the homosexual cast get BTFO by Adam Smasher
Still haven't pirated it
Is it fixed yet
it was never broken unless you were on PS4
it's mediocre by its own merits, but the media shitstorm and glitch compilations were pure propaganda
I'm on PC
There were glitches, shit spawning and everything on rails, pretty sloppy for such a big production.

Aoi Yuuki was perfect in her role as Lucy, I expected her to phone it in but she did a not so usual tone for her. It was great.
