DaS3 is like eating a box of donuts

Doing another run of this game because I haven't played the ringed city dlc since I got burnt out on the game when I played it last year.

I just completed the game again, but I have absolutely zero desire to play either of the dlc's.

I like donuts a lot and they're delicious, but after a box of them, I don't want any for a long ass while. The areas, enemies and bosses are all good, but the variety is somewhat lacking. Every boss is roll, attack ONCE or TWO TIMES, then back on the defensive.

I am completely disinterested in more boss fights like this. Surprisingly I think elden ring has more variety in the bosses etc that I don't have the problem there.

As much as I want to like DaS3 it is actually one of the weakest from games

actually true. I love ds3 but its shallow in every way. But unfortunately, it was the first souls game of the majority of the community. The old guard has been utterly replaced by ds3babs, and they will piss themselves with insecure rage if you tell them that ds3 is not quiet a real souls game.

Yeah, except they all have coconut on them, somebody took like three bites minimum out of each, shit in the box and then stepped on it a dozen times.

I wish the places around me had coconut donuts.

Everyone always says DS3 has better bosses than ER but I heavily disagree. DS3 has great fights but the game never ever punishes roll spamming beyond maybe dancer and nameless king. My first playthrough I killed Gael in like 2 tries because you just fricking spam roll, r1, repeat. ER at least has variety and expects more from the player like directional rolls and spacing, jumping, posture, special boss gimmicks like mohgs bloodflame. The visual variety is superior as well. DS3 feels a little phoned in tbh.

yep. heavy attack is useless in ds3. elden rings stagger system encourages you to do more than r1 spam.

Yeah, once you just learn to roll r1 and never try to do more you can steamroll the entire game. DaS3 shows that the combat system From designed in DeS has reached its absolute limit. Most encounters in DaS3 are just way too similar.

Actual question why do they poke a hole into donuts before selling it to you? They're denying you a piece of the pastry

Felt like an appropriate way to express how I feel.
I really liked DaS3 while playing it, but towards the end I'm getting really worn down by all the similarity. I am enjoying it, but as a whole its not super impressive.

Donuts are sick, but not when thats the only thing served.

DS3 is not aging well. After playing DeS on PS5 I tried playing DS3 again and was surprised by how bad it looks. Instead of an art style it just tries to look realistic which has aged it heavily, the lighting is often flat and shitty looking. The game also doesn't present its levels in visually striking ways the way other from soft games do. Other than like irithyll. The world design is garbage and every combat encounter is the same. Most of the levels are just DS1 references. Wish the game just had a boss rush mode so I could play the good part of the game and ignore the rest. Feels like an ER tech demo, or a large bloodborne DLC that's dark souls themed

I don't care about what reddit tourist soulsBlack folk think.

You have not played a real souls game yet. try 1, 2, demon souls or bloodborne fren, they are great.

I've played every Souls title more individually than any SoulsBlack person has spent on the entire series combined.

is 3 your favorite? let me guess, you play souls for the bossfights, rather than thee levels.

No, unlikeSoulsBlack folk I enjoy all of the games in spite of their many flaws instead of picking only a single game to enjoy forever in spite of all of them being near fricking identical
