dawn of war soulstorm multiplayer

Any pro's or just regular players here?
Can you make tier list for the races?
I played some multiplayer with other noobs and enemy team were space marine and eldar and i played as sisters, the eldar spammed spiders and sm spammed regular marines and terminators and shit, and it feels like sister have no late game options, the celestials are only good against the vehicles and regulars sob squads are just guardsman but worse at later tiers.
Are there any cool mods that are played in myltiplayer?

SoB t4 isnt bad at all, you have Exorcists who whilst having shorter range than other artillery also supress such a huge area that it renders most infantry completely limp + free anti vehicle missile with infinite range every few minutes. Repentia arent as brutal as warp beasts but are still nice. The Celestian blob is still good (though short range) because theres an upgrade somewhere that boosts their special weapon damage even further. Saint is like a lightweight Bloodthirster with better anti infantry capabilities due to her fire sword aoe ability. Penitent engines are the best walkers in the game bar none because they bypass the issue all of them have (being slow as shit) and have absurdly strong dual flamers, if you're fighting a bunch of infantry and dont need them tied up in melee having them set to ranged if they're breakable is a good idea
    >the celestials are only good against the vehicles
But their squad leaders all get inferno pistols with 1 armory upgrade that costs 50 req 50 energy, and a sufficient infenro pistol mass can act as bootleg anti infantry quite well
Celestians are also quite tough and capable in melee, not to the point that they're able to beat actual specialists, but if theyre having a shootout and theres enemy ranged troop nearby if they charge to tie them up (i dont remember the hotkey) thats most likely a good trade since theyre deployed in multiple small squads
    >and regulars sob squads are just guardsman but worse at later tiers
No, guardsmen are actually some of the best units in the whole game but hard to handle whilst sisters are just a bad in between them and a SM squad.
They let the whole faction down, main reason why SoB were extinct back when i played in 1v1s was because their tier 1 is so God awful. They have options and Battle Sisters squads can do things but they drop off hard in the later tiers, almost Dark Eldar tier of tech obseletion but unlike DE you're not a machine of pure rape if you have good tempo

As for a tier list...i wasnt a pro but did have a lot of hours under my belt
Its a different story if youre looking at 1v1 or team games, and the game is so asymetrical with weird matchups that its tough to place anyone
Mind you that none of these are instant win
    >Eldar
Annoying to play since youre fiddling with FoF but other than the Farseer and their aircraft and banshees who are situational all of their units are very very good and whilst expensive theyre also not as fragile as youd expect. Dark reapers, Fire dragons and Warp spiders in particular stand out
    >IG
Relies on attachable commanders (most of the time 1 commissar spamming execute and all the 3 priests you can field) to turn their shit infantry into being able to win firefights they never should. Command squad is probably the strangest commander in the game but like the rest of the faction capable of putting in a lot of work if you bother to learn them, theyre t1 scouting+pressure+anticommander+stealth detection+raiding+army support, though they mostly become support and decetion in the later tiers. Techpriest solo garrisons buildings to make fighting near an infantry command or IG HQ in t1 very undersirable for everyone who cant outrange em and is tough enough to turret rush without dying instantly. Basilisks are Basilisks. HWTs can be a huge waste of money or a huge pain in the ass for the enemy, you need to use them properly though the autocannon upgrade at t3 is frickin fantastic. Kasrkin and Ogryn once you add priests punch far above their cost. The Baneblade is the best anti army relic unit in the whole game
    >Tau
Everything is horrendously expensive but you mostly get what you pay for
Gets sort of fricked by orks (stormboyz)
    >Ork
Have issues due to the way they tech up, but have some fantastic options with all of their units having a purpose and doing it well. Stealthy builders and AV/anti building, power klaw stormboy nob abuse, big mek being a cool guy in general, flash gitz, the list goes on
    1/2

      >Dark Eldar
Needs good tempo. Everything costs a lot and is fragile, but at the same time hits so hard that as long as you are not fighting fair you can shit all over almost anyone
Possibly unmatched in 1v1 if youre good enough but can only do support in team games because of this
      >SM
      >Chaos
I dont have much experience playing either in 1v1 so not much to say
SM become aids on a big map when they max tier due to pooping out endless dreads on your base
      Defiler can go frick himself
      >Necron
Play a different game to everyone else. Have issues staying alive in a lot of 1v1s
Necron lord carries this faction so hard its unreal
Become a lot better in a team game if the map isnt too open since they can just techprostitute to monolith and provide help with the lord and maybe whatever free warriors they poop out and then drop a max tier mono if they dont get pressured or their team crumbles
      >SoB
      Spoken of in above post

        About the necrons:

I don't how you can think that they have problems to survive.
Everything they have is quite overpowered. Necron warriors are (without reinforcment) completly free, are tanky, are decent in melee and deal good damage.
You can spam builders and units without crippling your economy, so a fast tier 2 is really easily doable with necrons. Wraiths and the lord are one of, if not the best anti-ranged tools in the entire game. And once tier 2 arrives for necrons, its even harder to kill them off.

I think Nec. are beside orks and eldar the best 1 vs. 1 faction.

Unlike in DC crons arent broken as frick in SS
Warriors are good but you're not gonna do anything with them without reinforcment so dont get too aroused by that 0 starting cost. Their build time is also relevant since cron does everything out of 1 building unless you make 2 monos
Wraiths are indeed very good even if they die instantly if the target can melee back and the Lord carries everything like i said
In a 1v1 depending on the map the enemy might be able to cap more than usual since necron is less inclined to go out and get lps up and even if they do its harder for them to defend since if you get baited and tp your warriors/immortals and the enemy just goes another way you're fricked. The answer to early pressure is usually to build a turret in a key spot as necron to cover as many generators as possible (necron turrets are the best in the game btw since the upgrade they get is an actual straight upgrade and not turning it useless against infantry) but since i didnt main them idk what the dynamic with that is. Speaking of, funny fact power klaw stormboy spam deletes necron economy something fierce

    Can people play this normally?
People kept dropping out during loading when I tried playing it

    >Can you make tier list for the races?
I remember eldar caused a lot of butthurt so maybe they're very strong
I played sisters too and I loved them because 1 out of 2 people played guards and early flamers would shit on them, I mostly won or lost (or somebody dropped) before the late game though so idk what to make of their top tier stuff
You can totally bully necrons with seraphims though, fun times

Don't know about normally but I remember playing it on gameranger years ago.

You can play it through steam

But then you would have to pay for it.

that's what I was asking about the steam version is really unstable in MP for me

Thank relic being an absolute worthless scum company
It used to be even worse
Just alt f4 if it gets stuck and rehost

yeah but that's very annoying the odds of nobody getting stuck even in a 2v2 are abysmal

Eldar caused butthurt because they were consistently top tier and relic never nerfed them (it was rumored all the relic devs were eldar players). In particular, it was the fact they could endlessly drag on games vs people who don’t know how they work (AND those who do)

    Played 1v1 vs chaos
Was completely stomped, had no idead what to do< i made 2 bs squads and the canones, but chaose did 2 csm squads and chaos lord wich is basically my shit but better, he teched to t2 built a crab and then raped me with his crab rihno and upgraded csm squads.

I think you should try seraphim harass. Kill cultists and builders but use your mobility to avoid direct fights against csm. Then you can build celestians in T2.

It's counterintuitive but sisters players don't usually rely on battle sister squads.

How does ork tech tree works?

      Anonymous

You fill up the bar on the left to increase the WAAAGH meter by building banners, the more filled your meter the more of the tech tree opens up, Orks need more req than other races to go up in tiers i think
The meter goes down if your banners get blown up
Almost all the things they can build need a certain amount of meter, but there are exceptions that only require the hq upgrade, theoretically meaning that they could still get some units even if they get knocked back in tech a lot. Banners also make your individual ork resource used both for reinforcment and making new squads so in summary dont get your banners blown up
