I can play at 4k60 with my 3080ti. I'm not using an ENB either so that's why. Only goes down in the tundra because I'm also using the grass LOD and even then only in the 40's.
Yes but this time install Ordinator or Vokrii, they change the perks in such a way that you can make actual builds.
Ordinator has more complex stuff like traps and bard-singing, Vokrii is milder. Both very good

i'll look into it, thanks
maybe this time it will click, i tried it 3-4 times since the release

Yeah go over the trees and see what you like. For example here is Vokrii: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26176
scroll down for every perk in each tree and what they do
See a build you want to make and go for it. Also take it slow and explore, there are tons of really good side-quests in skyrim

i'm going to install Special Edition GOG release
if you know, can you please tell if i should also install the Anniversary pack included in this release?

Nah, Anniversary pack includes some retarded Creation Kit mods (the official bethesda approved mods)
Normal mods are better

Who approved the cc mods? They gave no fucks about the lore.

Oh shit I completely forgot, install the "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" mod. It skips the long ass intro, lets you pick tons of different starting situations, and basically turns the main story into another sidequest that you can choose to do or not

i hate how skyrim is the only bethesda TES/FO game with a working and sensible alternative start mod(s). it breaks the story in FO4 (and breaks quests/dialouge too so its incompatible with 9/10 fucking mods), only kinda works in fallout 3, and the mods for oblivion are broken to shit last i checked. granted new vegas has them too but imo the start for that game is a blank slate for roleplayers anyway.
Anonymous
The alternate start mod where you spawn on a ship for oblivion worked really well back in the day. It doesn't feel that great without other mods to improve the rest of the game though, which is why I stick to the vanilla start.
Anonymous
ohhh i remember that one. doesnt that have the chance to break a fucking main quest somewhere way down the line though? i could be thinking of fallout. thank fuck for wabbajack. i’m never going back to manually installing 50 mods only to be stuck troubleshooting instead of, you know, playing the fucking game
1 week ago
Anonymous
I'm not sure but back when I used it I didn't play through the main quest anyway, since I used a gorillion of overhaul mods to make the world as random and wild as possible. I remember getting chased by a futa amazon from a cave all the way to the city over and over and she always caught up and raped me due to her superior speed.

New Vegas has too shitty and linear of a map for alternate start mods. It only really works in Skyrim for how open the world is

Pretty much. If you go through the deathclaw route, there aren't much quests to do unlike the normal routes.

Tempest for a little detour while still having the opening cutscene make sense, plus the Hero of Daggerfall passes on the torch to you at the end

Oblivion had a great start mod when I played. You could basically start anywhere from my experience. In a cave. In an Ayleid Ruin. In a swamp close to Black Marsh. At Dive Rock. etc.. You just had to start the main quest by getting arrested by a Palace Guard. Don't really remember any issues with the main quest breaking.

There's too many flora overhauls to count, you sort've just have to look at them until you figure out how you want your game to look. Some go super hardcore on grass/trees and others just add a few. >HUD
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/463
the only mods i know of are the fuckers that want fucking furry porn to be the normal on this board and remove hard working jannies for trying to make Ganker a slightly better smelling cesspit.
I can play at 4k60 with my 3080ti. I'm not using an ENB either so that's why. Only goes down in the tundra because I'm also using the grass LOD and even then only in the 40's.
Mods of course.
Whiterun, always Whiterun.
Skyrim unironically looks perfect the way it is. It pulls me in like no other game, I just love its atmosphere.
Changing it to make it look like some Witcher 3 overly-saturated knockoff is just retarded to me
I'd hardly call any of the pics oversaturated. Fairly muted colors.
Beautiful.
Mods of course.
I can play at 4k60 with my 3080ti. I'm not using an ENB either so that's why. Only goes down in the tundra because I'm also using the grass LOD and even then only in the 40's.
No, my battle station doesn't have faggy light, only white ones. Only one of the pics is mine the other saturated ones are from another anon, I agree they look like shit thought
>>went to Winterhold to learn some magic >>pic
Wut? If there is a place to learn magic it's fucking Winterhold. It's got an NPC trainer that sells all levels of spells for each of the schools of magic
you can go to ivarstead, then to mount hrothgar and get the dash shout, then you're free to do whatever. On mage build I like going to winterhold college up until you find the orb then fucking off and coming back only for spells
it feels like it was designed with anti-fun in mind. anything you could think of that could be fun, will be designed to not be fun in oblivion. it's actually kind of impressive
>jumping is fun
a hundred, maybe even a thousand times more fun in morrowind >running and dying because you ran off a cliff too fast is funny
*annoying. absolutely retarded bethesda keeps huge mountains in their games but removed levitation/jump spells
Same. I tried NV again recently, and I got bored fast. I mean the piss filter help set up the atmosphere, but after you beat the game, it's just annoying.
Though, I only have Morrowind around for messing up shit with magic, but Skyrim is primary for roleplaying
Other way around for me. I grugged my way through Skyrim with a heavy armor orc warrior back on the PS3 and had a good time but the urge to go back has always been pretty minor. I did start a pretty heavily modded run a few years back but it wound up petering out after I was able to lift myself out of poverty. Poaching animals for meat and hides while trying not to freeze to death was fun, but once I was supposed to be doing adventure shit I just didn't really want to.
In some ways New Vegas is too far in the opposite direction with literally every building looking like it would suffocate you with mold spores or something, but the fact you're ultimately just a really skilled normal dude is more appealing to me.
worst place to live, constant dragon attacks, too far from everywhere, not a single interesting thing in town other than the "museum" that I already emptied long ago, no fucking walls.
there is this perk from and outdated mod, or alternatively a standalone ability to detect life really far away. its so kino to use it to hunt and make money from hides and meat, very relaxing hunting around the surroundings of whiterun.
I made my home at Dawnstar when playing with the Live another Life + Frostfall and Requiem mods, there's an alt start that has you begin as a shipwreck survivor off the coast of Dawnstar, it's pretty cool, by the time you swim to shore you're already on the verge of death and have to rely on hunting and living in a shitty fur tent for weeks to make enough to survive.
With mods yes
>chudstar
FUCK Falkreath, all my bros HATE Falkreath. NOTHING happens there
It has the best DLC house.
Falkreath hold has the best landscape to play and yiff in as a werewolf though.
Whiterun, always Whiterun.

Amazing what a difference this makes. Suddenly the world isn't some barren landscape you don't care about at all and just rush from A to B.
Man those are some ugly ass trees
That's not Whiterun
More like Brown runny shit. All the towns suck.
Speaking of Blandmora
I don't remember whiterun having that much greenery. I dont remember anywhere in skyrim having that much greenery.
Mods of course.
How the hell can you be unaware of the existence of mods? What the fuck
the only mods i know of are the fuckers that want fucking furry porn to be the normal on this board and remove hard working jannies for trying to make Ganker a slightly better smelling cesspit.
That's mildly funny but seriously, how the fuck do you not know of videogame mods? Are you 13?
In his defense anon probably is only aware of mods for Bethesda games. That would skew anyone to believing modders were nothing but degenerates.
That anon's probably a Tendiechud playing Skyrim on his Shitch console, hence no mod.
>modded
oh my god!!!! are those heckin trees in my hustlin and bustlin northernkino cityrino!!!!!??
>Half life cinematic mod
soulless
Skyrim VR is the tits. Flatties go home.
Flatties? Are we anime girls comparing tit sizes now?
my record in Skyrim is 3 hours before dying from boredom and uninstalling
Don't force your to play a game you don't like, retard especially fucking Skyrim of all thing.
maybe i will like it, happened before with a couple of other games i ignored
Are you dyslexic or just drunk?
just tired.
I didn't bother to change the grammar of the current sentence.

You know what I mean you stupid fucking cunt.
They have no art direction, if you had any taste you'd see they're absolutely awful pics
If there are any mods that enhance via adding npcs, buildings, merchants, etc is what I would add, but otherwise yea.
stop shitposting on vee and go finish your game todd
Home
Restarting before you reach level 10 and never leaving Whiterun. Home.
Is that a mammoth up there?

holyyy SHIT you have subzero taste

bet your battlestation is all full of gayy RGB shit too
No, my battle station doesn't have faggy light, only white ones. Only one of the pics is mine the other saturated ones are from another anon, I agree they look like shit thought
Vortex Riker. Home.
I have never played Stealth Archer
thats dawnstar to you?
refer to
Yea yea, you installed Nolvus, we get it.
Learn 2 mod.
I like Morthal most and I dont know why
What's Morthal again? At first I thought you were talking about the stone city with all the waterfalls but that's Markarth.
Fuck, I think I've never seen Morthal
The small town with a secret vampire coven. You probably went there if you ever wanted to cure vampirism.
I've no idea what you're talking about which means that, indeed, I've never been there.
Time to fire up the game again
It's also where the orc bard who thinks he's the best singer is.
stop spoiling it for me anon
>he follows the normal start
oh you sweet summer child
get the Alternate Start mod
For me it’s Seyda Neen, watching the sun set across the sea while collecting taxes for the Empire, good stuff
Why was Windhelm so underwhelming as a major city? That buggy murderer questline was legit the only thing I could really remember as a questions.
Underwhelming? I remember it being an ultra comfy city. Stone walls, snowstorm, just all around a kino atmosphere
>Skyrim looks nice than I remember 4 years ago
>went to Winterhold to learn some magic

nicer*
>>went to Winterhold to learn some magic

Wut? If there is a place to learn magic it's fucking Winterhold. It's got an NPC trainer that sells all levels of spells for each of the schools of magic
I wasn't referring to the trainer.
My first sentence mentioned how nice Skyrim looks until I visit Winterhold.
gonna need a screencap, champ
Why would do you need a screencap?
everyone knows what vanilla Winterhold look like.
>Why would do you need a screencap?
screencap-less opinions are just not valid around here, y'see
according to who?
whomst'd've*
and that whomst'd've is me
Okay, Todd.
btw I pirated your game.

I am trying to do an ordinator-conjuration build, but I don't know what to do.
you can go to ivarstead, then to mount hrothgar and get the dash shout, then you're free to do whatever. On mage build I like going to winterhold college up until you find the orb then fucking off and coming back only for spells
>would yearly replay Skyrim or Morrowind
>never touch Oblivion after the first playthrough
same, god that game is just zero fun
it feels like it was designed with anti-fun in mind. anything you could think of that could be fun, will be designed to not be fun in oblivion. it's actually kind of impressive
jumping is fun. running and dying because you ran off a cliff too fast is funny.
>jumping is fun
a hundred, maybe even a thousand times more fun in morrowind

*annoying. absolutely retarded bethesda keeps huge mountains in their games but removed levitation/jump spells
I yearly replay all 3 games
Anybody else having trouble getting back into Bethesda games except for Skyrim?
I'm trying to get back into New Vegas and I just fucking can't
Skyrim is the only one I revisit
Same. I tried NV again recently, and I got bored fast. I mean the piss filter help set up the atmosphere, but after you beat the game, it's just annoying.
Though, I only have Morrowind around for messing up shit with magic, but Skyrim is primary for roleplaying
no I can get into any bugshitsda game except 76 (now)

Something about Skyrim's shittyness is part of the charm for me at this point
The only thing I really get bothered by still is the HP sponge enemies

you oneshot everything if you minxmax properly
I had to use mods to make enemies harder
>minxmax
>minx max
The modded in Museum that I help filled by being a massive harder and taking and crafting everything. Home.
If my game looked like this I'd blow my brains out after playing it for 2 minutes
It's comfy being Indiana Jones in Skyrim.
Legacy of the DB is too in your face collectathon for me
I appreciate the scope of the mod though, just not for me.
Unironically this.
After having this installed every new playthrough ends up revolving around the Museum.
dawnstar is based if you marry the bard there. she is the best female from the default NPCs and you can marry her with console commands
kek is that the one that sings extremely out of tune?
I did think she was super cute, maybe I will
Ivarstead, home
for me it's Falkreath and the Lakeview Manor
Elysium Estate for the family
Whiterun Safehold for the followers/harem
Breezehome stays empty
is wild cat a meme or something?

We're almost halfway through the next decade and Skyrim is still an amazing game today.

how many Dragonbastards have you sired?
tens of thousands of pups with both dragon and wolf blood flowing through their veins
