Death Stranding

Game offers you stealth mechanics but you can't stealth because the enemy has a scan that auto-detects where you are and the devs only placed stealth grass in 2 places around the map so it's completely futile to try to get to a spot where you can hide, especially when 10 of these frickers come looking for you.

Are you literally supposed to ignore enemy outposts until you unlock the weapons? Fricking stupid shit game.

    Skill issue.

It's a clunky game for combat and is clearly not designed for it. Entering cinematic animations mid-aggro just disrupts game flow and makes it pretty obvious that the stealth takedown wasn't meant for 'loud' engagements, which prompts the question: why didn't they remove the ability to do a stealth takedown during loud engagements? It would just ensure there wouldn't be confusion for the player whether you should try to keep stealthed or not.

because the game isn’t about combat and the mule areas are only there to make your deliveries more exciting

it would be exciting if the engagements were well designed but the combat is about as clunky like tw3's (mobile game tier combat)

anything that makes it feel like the game is being paused like a movie to play a cutscene and then go into gameplay again immediately ruins the flow and turns it into a shit game

you can leave cargo behind, hidden from the scanners if you intend to raid a camp but you are carrying valuable cargo.
You are a dumbass for trying to sneak while having cargo to deliver packed on your back.

Its so easy to just counter every attack and tie them up. That or progress the story till you get the counter scanner that stops their scan. My first play through just ran through their camps, second playthrough cleared them all, stole their van with shitloads of mats

It's not easy because you get a prompt for half a second telling you what button it is, while 4 of the enemy's friends is throwing shock spears at you or whatever.

    decoy cargo
counter ping to negate the scan
    hack the scanning post
    skill issue

      >decoy cargo
okay so just carry a thing that takes up way too much space, requires way too many materials to make -- dumb fricking item to even be put in the game
      >counter ping
okay but there's like three enemy camps before you even get that though, so that's not viable
      >hack the scanning post
what? the hundreds of things surrounding the camp? or is there something the game hasn't told me about?
      >skill issue
lol okay design any clunky game and you could literally blame the player for everything that's wrong with the game itself

        >okay so just carry a thing that takes up way too much space, requires way too many materials to make
What the frick are you talking about? It's like a 1x1 package, it costs frick all and the game shits materials at you.

        >okay but there's like three enemy camps before you even get that though
Yeah, because you're basically still playing the fricking tutorial. The game tries to make you overcome an obstacle once or twice before giving you the tools that completely trivialize it.

        >what? the hundreds of things surrounding the camp? or is there something the game hasn't told me about?
Hacking one post disables them all for like 5 minutes. You get it from a mission reward available right after your first terrorist camp IIRC.

        >clunky game
This is what I mean by skill issue. You only think its "clunky" because you suck ass, unironically complaining about braindead easy early mule camps lmao

It's clunky because when you try to move it's like moving in mud. It takes like three fricking seconds to go from standstill to moving and the other way around. Then you have the issue of trying to make a sharp turn but the game has you running half a circle around an enemy to try and get a stealth takedown while others just throw spears at you. It's clear they made combat separate from the base-idea of the game and when they mushed the two together it didn't work. Sry I'm not use to playing shit games so it might take awhile to acclimate, as opposed to you who seems to thrive in such environments.

takes a special type of creator to blame the flaws of a game on the player

imagine printing a book but half the words are off the pages so you blame the reader for not understanding the story

It's not a flaw that you can't carry two stories worth of packages and move well at the same time. It's literally the entire point of the fricking game, dude. If you want better movement put your cargo on a truck bed or floating carrier, or play a game that isn't literally about delivering things from point A to point B. If you're too shit at the game to stealth properly through mule camps and too slow because you want to tow the world with you then prepare properly for the terrain and take a bolagun or a few stun grenades.

Sounds like I struck a weak spot and that MGS does actually have similar mechanics to DS. Wew, forget just the MSG franchise, Kojima can go frick himself.

if you didn't notice yet he's some shill who's mad that Kojima movie games are successful, proably with Ubisoft marketing or something i don't know, he knows more than someone who's doing a blind playthrough and it's kind of absurd to think you'd look up anything as a real gamer in this game - or need anything before you get it

Sorry, I might have missed the actual one time he said it during the first encounter with a camp because I was trying to keep the character standing up because the game design is fricking moronic. What jackass falls over just because they're carrying a fricking backpack? Especially one whose job it is to deliver packages?

It's almost like they give you several items that aid you in stealth and tell you 6 hours into the game you negate scans with your own scanner. I wish they implemented some stealth mechanics when dealing with BTs because running into a BT zone does nothing or something. Must be a shit game and is obviously not a skill issue because I am a skillful and smart gamer

      >several items
name one that isn't decoy backpack, and the stranding string was already mentioned in the original post

You can ping as they try to scan you. It nullifies it and you can continue exploring their camps. That or leave your cargo behind you fricking moron.
This is the most easiest game that the most braindead fricks can beat (t.me) and you're having issues. A literal FedEx simulator and you're having issues.
Frick off from Ganker you doorknob licking chromosome hogging downie.

and to address this, the ping counter isn't even unlocked until later in the game
I'm not having issues BEAT ING THE GAME, it's literally a matter of the game placing a mechanic or function in your path and not making it clear whether you're supposed to be able to clear these out along the way or actually dedicate a run to raid one of these places. Even a shit game like Fallout 4 doesn't require you to remove all your gear to engage a fricking raider camp.

Again: not shit ones. I grabbed this one for free and I'm not surprised they went free with it because of how shitty it is. Saves me from picking up MGS because if combat/movement/animations are similar then holy shit did I dodge a bullet avoiding that franchise lmao
