the 240hz 1440p monitor I bought 4 years ago for $650 has 99% Adobe RGB (xb323u gx). How the fuck are premium products still shipping with less than 90%? Those screens are worth pennies and look like pale grainy vomit.
720p to 1080p will reduce your performance significantly without an equivalent jump on graphical fidelity since at that size the 720p version already has greater pixel density than the average 4k monitor, what kind of scam is this?
Scam for LTT retards and folks like OP that believe 1080p is a cure-all for portables without understanding battery performance and graphical fidelity.
>Pay for a resolution bump in emulation >When anything that isn't PS3 is going to be sub-720p anyway (and the PS360 is sub-720 for 90% of titles anyway).
Do Techtards REALLY?
Oh that makes a LOT more sense. But now my question is: Why didn't they just give you that screen to start with? 'eck sized screens should not be that expensive to make.
The Steam deck is only a year old, no way Valve does a revision in the next 1-2 years. The deck pro or whatever its called will probably come with Zen 5/RDNA 4, which seeing as how AMD was able to massively improve IPC and efficiency while staying on the same node from Zen 2 -> Zen 3 and RDNA 1 -> 2 is probably going to be the much better move.
meanwhile asustards >also pay extra for it only to play games at 720p >or at 1080p either at below 60 fps >wasting the 120 refresh rate
and i guess that's good? be real, the only way for triple a tier to reach a real handheld is for it to be at around those resolutions
>Anti-Glare coating >On original Steam Deck
An acid etch isn't a coating, it's a physical process on the glass. These are 2 different things. The fact that this manufacturer doesn't understand this really brings into question the quality of their products

1080p is literally pointless on a screen that small
you do not need 1080p on a handheld.
this thing can barely handle elden ring at 720p lol
The Switch can't handle Elden Ring at all.
>B-BUT NINTENDO
holy mother of rent free
Fuck off gay
found the triggered tendie
'ick on 'eck HD
800p is a perfect resolution for the size. They just need to make the bezels smaller and make it OLED
I'm buying one just for desktop mode. 800p is suffering
I'm just buying it for the better colours
you literally aren't
Then just use decky you fucking retard
how much is it
why would they make this when the deck can't push 1200p for most titles
because a lot of people are buying this as an emulation machine, which it would work perfectly fine
and the average consumer is a retard
oh good point i didn't think about the emulation side

>chink shit costs 1000$ more than a deck
>thinks his 1080p screen was free
>Deck dies in 30 minutes instead of an 2 hour
No thanks. I guess if you only use your deck at home at don't mind being tethered to a wall.
would be nice for VNs
but then i'd lose playing ASW games at their native 1280x768 without scaling
>Better and more expensive hardware is needed for better quality
Anon are you ok? How is this something you just discovered?
I don't care for the screeen. What about the battery life?
It's just a mod for the deck.
It will reduce the battery life a lot, not a good tradeoff.
>switchies don't even have the option for 1080p in 2023
lol
is this like Deck Pro or something? if it's a software mod then why the fuck would people not just use the mods already available?
It's a substitute display for the Steam Deck.
Oh that makes a LOT more sense. But now my question is: Why didn't they just give you that screen to start with? 'eck sized screens should not be that expensive to make.
DeckHD isn't made by Valve, it's a third party selling their own substitute display.
That's all my questions answered then, thanks.
Because it destroys performance for negligible quality improvement on that size screen
Doesn't the 'eck already have trouble running modern games anyway?
>software mod
>to increase the display resolution of the screen
come on man
Z1E is underwhelming
Valve can't go Nvidia because it doesnt gel with Linux
It's over fellow deck 2 waiters...

Wow I can't wait for a new handheld that only lasts 2 hours lmao
I can't wait to emulate all Ninty titles on it while you pay $70+ tip for a Wii U rerelease lmao

Damn, the RGB thing is actually pretty neat.
But too expensive to buy just for this

Why did they change it from AdobeRGB or sRGB since your pic was taken?
Higher number looks better
because no one uses adobeRGB in the industry as a tool for measurement
What games can run that well on the deck and how is the battery life?
Decktoddlers keep losing
