The laser is in the game, but you need to find or purchase it from the merchant - there's literally a customization option in the menu to change the color of the laser dot, you glowing gay.

In the original, Leon never talks about himself in such detail, he simply narrates the events of Resident Evil 2 and the aftermath following Umbrella. This is effective because many players wouldn't know who Leon is so they simply wouldn't care about him, and gives more time for those new to the series to know who Umbrella is (sets up Ada's character arc later). It's effective from a character standpoint because that's Leon's character. He's a professional, taught to withstand great pressure without expressing any personal feelings. He acts the same way with Ashley which establishes the guardianship bond between them. By contrast, the REmake makes him sound more like a scared basedboy than a government agent.

Stick aiming sucks anyway, I added gyro mouse emulation on L2 with steam input, feels so much better.

As mouse. Hold layer on l2. On that layer gyro works as mouse and right stick as mouse as well. Result is similar to botw bow aim.
I gotcha, I was more calling out a potential bluff, since mouse-like would be affected by the same deadzones and feel atrocious.

It's not optimal, I prefer to have gyro always on, but it leads to button icons filckering and gamepad stick doesn't work with mouse aim at the same time. But it good enough, usually I just give up on combining inputs and simply map keyboad and mouse on gamepad.

One shitty thing I haven't seen people brought up is how super exploitable the adaptive difficulty feels now. It's been a series staple since OG RE4, but it never felt more noticeable than it does here. The combination of the game being more resource focused like REmake2 with the RE4 RNG drops makes it really stick out. You can just wait to break crates until after you've used up resources in a fight to make sure you get the game to throw more at you.
Those are all improvements over the old game.

was playing 2 remake and.... i dont get it? i got to somewhere after the mutated arm guy, i got semi stuck, the game forced me to fight 3 zombies and 2 of the wall climbing zombies and make me use up all my ammo
i barricaded all the windows i could and avoided wasting bullets by shooting the zombie once and running past most times i could, or just running past them after baiting their attack, i never missed a full shotgun blast on those roof climbing zombies but i'm still out of ammo and forced to run around helpless with no weapon or ammo and at this point i just closed the game, not sure i'll open it again

For all the things this game is doing right, it censored, possibly even downright removed, the thing people wanted most. It murders an aspect of her character, rendering it essentially non-canon. Why is censorship so prevalent in gaming nowadays? I'm surprised they're even keeping in the gore given the extent that they're willing to go to censor something that the vast majority of players will never even see. This is dishonest, and suggests a lack of soul and attention to detail on the developer's part. No panties, no buy. Simple as.
