I didn't know just opening the door would lock me into getting fingered. I thought you'd open it and then have to hit a prompt in front of the three fingers or something.
Lost a 35-ish hour playthrough to this shit.
I know, but it feels like a vain gesture. It's pure larping but that character fricked up, disregarded Melina and got... something inside of him. The whole rest of the playthrough feels tainted at that point.
Ooooor you could choose to inherit it specifically to spare Melina from having to sacrifice herself to stoke the forge of the giants. That's what Shabriri tells you you can do and what Vyke tried to do. Yes, Melina says you're not fit to be Elden Lord at that point, but at least she will be alive. And then you can still reverse the decision with Miquella's Needle, creating the world Melina envisioned with her around to still see it.
Of course what Shabriri doesn't tell you is that inheriting the Flame of Frenzy kills Hyetta, but that girl was doomed from the start. So either way a maiden has to die.
>inheriting the Flame of Frenzy kills Hyetta
I mean, she already died once to Misbegotten, so it's kind of a zero-loss scenario.

That's what I mean. "Hyetta" is a chaos spirit inhabiting Irina's dead body, the same way Shabriri inhabits Yura's. She was doomed from the start.

It's interesting how Edgar, Irina/Hyetta, and their locations/dialogue all tie together into a fairly solid introduction to the Frenzyflame.
My first impression of Elden Ring's side storylines was more disjointed than Souls'/Sekiro's, but every time I look in to things just from in-game info, they end up more cohesive, detailed, & tied in to the rest of the game than From has ever done. Kino.
Shame about Kale's quest with the frenzied nomads being cut, though. That seems like it'd be even stronger.
I mean, they force you to get naked to open it. And Melina will plead with you not to if you rest at the grace. It's something you have to pretty deliberately do. Not something you'll fat finger by accident.
nta but i remember going down, getting the grace without resting then saw the big door and i tried to get past there without success until i saw a message that talked about being naked so that's what i did lol

The design logic of that temple is to go there on a quest from someone at round table hold. You're not meant to move past the temple, hence why it gives you a grace right there so you can rest and teleport back there at any point.
They put the black blade kindred right there to smack your ass and demonstrate you shouldn't try to explore

No, the trap chest sends you to the Sellia Crystal tunnel. You can't warp out until you rest at another site of grace, Sellia probably being the one that's found most often. The warp gate outside Limgrave's 3rd Church of Marika sends you to Gurranq's temple.

The games an open world, and the maps show that Calied is close to the early level areas.
It's meant to be this plague ridden inhospitable wasteland with difficulty enemies to give players another taste of what's on deck.
Like with the Tree Sentinel outside the starting area taunting players.
You can definitely take on the enemies there low level, but you can also just tuck your tail and run back to Limgrave knowing that your next stop is either Liurna or Weeping Peninsula

So you can get Beast incantations as a reward from the Deathroot you get in Limgrave & Liurnia (which 95% of players will explore before Caelid), and also provide an avenue for the other 5% to tackle places for their loot out of the intended order.

Because teleportation and fast travel exists, and so they could. Warpgates are an actual thing in universe. You took the easy way to the temple and had an easy way to get back.
It's located in Dragonbarrow for lore reasons.

You don't need fast travel to play the game.
You could also just run away and there was plenty of ways for you to continue and just keep on running past the mobs obviously not meant for a low level player to take on to get back to Limgrave which is 5 minutes away at most.
Which is what I did because I didn't fast travel at all for the first 100 hours I played the game.

No the world clearly has balance. Just because a low level area that players are free to teleport to from another low level area for a questline that's optional is located in a higher level area means it doesn't have balance.
The low level player could also beat every boss in Caelid first, which is what many did. I beat a few Caelid bosses by just applying myself, and even found a meterorite staff to reward me for my curiosity that was a massive improvement over my current weapon and I was able to use it up to midgame.
The bosses are clearly designed in a way where players can choose to optionally engage them or move on depending on how much effort they want to give towards the bosses current difficulty level.
It's actually great game design and some of the best openworld game design I've ever played as a fan of the genre.
If you're good you could beat anything at any level with enough dedication. Theres nothing stopping you but your own will to continue in caelid.

You can choose to do such, and it's a painless effort. You can also choose to stay in Caelid, and fight the tougher enemies, it's an open world game with choice wow! Difficult harder enemies are difficult, very shocking. >>it's actually the best game ever made because you can sl 1 everything and there not being any balance even though I just claimed it was balanced

Incorrect, theres low level quest in low level areas. You access shrine via ingame lore based teleportation.
You are free to immediately leave the area that puts an insanely difficult boss blocking the exit and go back to the low level area you came from >BUT YOU HAVE TO FAST TRAVEL
One of the key areas in the game you have to constantly go to is the Round Table hold. Fast Travel isn't just another utility to make players travel useful. It's essential to the storytelling of the game, so no, fast traveling back to Limgrave isn't some unholy sin. And yes, Caelid is a high level area. Just because there is some content accessible to low level players in it doesn't make it bad.
Plenty of MMOs have similar missions having you risk yourself to get to a point in a higher level area to deliver a message and tease players about whats to come.

If Elden Ring truly lacked balance it would force you into Caelid from the beginning and lock further areas behind it. But the game doesn't do that.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. Can you answer why being able to use a hyper specific method to one shot bosses is a bad thing? The devs intentions don't play into this

Since you lost the last argument about how you can't actually say why the game is good and that you should simply "run away" from all the bad design the conversation was continued with the assertion that "actually Elden Ring well designed because you can run away from the bad design", which is just you repeating yourself and samegayging after losing the last argument.
The thing is you repeated yourself when replying to a post about balance instead of game design which sort of doesn't flow logically. So when I replied that being able to one-shot 50,000 hp bosses is a lack of balance your brain broke because you're actually like 80 IQ.
You can't even answer if you think it was within the dev's intentions to make a 50,000 HP boss be able to be one-shot.

Then why is your argument still "ride away on your horse from the bad parts of the game"?
You're also the same person that's already said "being able to easily one shot bosses isn't a balance issue because you only know about it because of YouTube videos".
Your attitude and blatant samegay shilling for the game by advocating ignorance is a "bad thing" because it prevents actual discussion of the game.
>d-don't talk about the game jus ignore it but still post about it
Is that why there's virtually no threads since release that actually talk about the game? Because you're in every single one spamming schizo nonsense about ignoring the game's faults?

I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm trying to have a discussion about the game, not avoid it. I just want to know why being able to one shot bosses is a bad thing. It's an RPG, you can play how you want to. Some people like doing that, others don't bother with it.

Fromsoft putting so many % damage modifiers in their game to the point that it enables you to one shot bosses at level 1 implies a complete abandonment of any real design philosophy which opens the door to sub par elements of the game not being "by design" and actual genuine frick-ups that they didn't foresee

You'd have a point if the bosses were designed poorly. They're not. Hyper-specific builds (you can level similar arguments about Comet Azur being OP) don't necessitate anything of the sort, you delusional man.

If they didn't want the boss to get one shot, why did they give so many stacking buffs.
And why did they do that for Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne.

Recommended level for barrens is 12+, you'd have to run directly there from spawn to have a trouble with it. Saying that elden ring's world design is scaled "as good as running through a level 12 area at level 1 in WoW" is actually insulting the game, not defending it

There are no low level ares in high level areas, there is one place that you get to go to for one "vender" and then you get the frick out. If you didn't get there due to the quest line and instead you got the trap warp, you should just get the frick out when you are able to after leaving the fricking are you got warped into.
And did you know, that lots of MMOs have their zones mixed? Take Vanilla WoW, there are zones that you can level in that are after zones that are too high level for you to be in. Crazy huh? They expect you to just run through it. Nuts.

That shit triggers my OCD. Its fricking annoying to leave an area especially one that the devs just drop you into with no warning before all content is exhausted.
On top of that there is no NPC or sign or anything telling you to frick off. It drops you in front of a city as if this is where you are SUPPOSED to be. One of the few things the game tells you to do is to follow the grace lines and wow would you look at there there are grace's with grace lines pointing you deeper into the area! Almost as if the game is TELLING you to stay.

Everyone said this game was supposed to be hard with difficult enemies. So while annoying it was not really a very good "frick off" message.

The Tree Sentinel at the very beginning was a big fat message to players saying "It's okay to run past something that's too difficult for you right now". Any player who either spent 3 hours killing the Tree Sentinel there, or walking past it should have already been taught the lesson that high level things can be lurking just around low level areas, and that it's okay to move past them and revisit it later when you're more prepared.
Literally, right outside the tutorial area they give you this message.
I don't know why it's hard for people to understand.

>Okay but why is there a quest temple for low level players in one of the highest level areas in the game
Because teleportation and fast travel exists, and so they could. Warpgates are an actual thing in universe. You took the easy way to the temple and had an easy way to get back.
It's located in Dragonbarrow for lore reasons.
>>no weapon upgrades >still kills the bridge dragon and the Caelid death bird
I wanna call you a moron, but also I'm too much of a shitter to ever pull that off so congrats.
Also, to upgrade weapons you need to go to roundtable hold or buy the upgrade tools from the guy at the ruined church right past the horse riding knight, right at the start.
I can up grade weapons just fine its armor that I need upgraded so I can take a hit.
I'm using Cipher Pata +1 as my main weapon and unblockable blade is the only reason I am still going. It knocks down most enemies and a few will normally knock down a boss for a crit.
does the part where you got teleported by a trap chest into an alien slave cave not tip you off that you might want to get back to where things were easier to fight?
It did but I had no idea how to get back and by the time I started getting the maps I spent so much time here I figured I would just finish the area. Since I expected the whole game to be like this.
[...]
He's probably talking about the teleport to the beastkin temple.
What I wanna know is if he also killed the black axe gargoyle that gurds the temple without a single weapon upgrade.
The black bird boss? Dodge, smack, walk away to taunt a lunge, repeat. Took about 3 hours.
>I can up grade weapons just fine its armor that I need upgraded so I can take a hit.
You don't upgrade armor at all. Never upgrade armor. What you want to do take a hit is level up your vigour.
And there's two "birds". one of them is the death rite bird, the other is the black blade kindred. Did you kill the boss that's right in front of the temple you got teleported to?
Again, if you did, kudos. I'd never be able to kill that fricker without level appropriate gear.
Yes it was in front of the temple. But I never got teleported there. I was teleported to a cave next to the magic city in the swamp. I was following the road north and fought the dragon and then the bird. The bird was over all an "easy" fight. Super easy to bait and dodge the only reason it was so fricking annoying is my lack of damage.
>overall an easy fight
Again non, I don't see why you're mad. I'm a shitter that needed upgrades to beat that guy, you beat him with skill. You should honestly be proud.

Because I don't want to spend over 9 hours getting to a big building to be rewarded with "..." and nothing else. If the game was just going to drop me here there should be weapons laying around to get me to the point I can do fair damage.
It would have been completely different if there was an NPC that say laughed at me for falling for the trap and warned me to frick off from the area rather than just letting me do shit that the devs do not expect me to do.

95% of players would realize that caelid Is a high level area and just come back later. If you couldn't figure it out you must just be moronic. Do limgrave and the weeping peninsula like a normal person.
>we don't go to Caelid
I was talking to an anon in another ER thread and he autistically refused to leave Caelid until he'd 100%'d it right after falling for the teleport trap two hours into a new playthrough. That was some impressive dedication. He even beat that fricking awful Gargoyle outside Gurranq's house at level 30.
It's boring, it's the safest most average looking shit ever. But even setting aside personal opinion why would you want to look at the same exact body type so much, even CSR probably has more variety than him.
>It's boring, it's the safest most average looking shit ever.
No it's the best ever and annly someone who has some gripe with it could get tired of something ideal. > But even setting aside personal opinion why would you want to look at the same exact body type so much, even CSR probably has more variety than him.
Because the ideal is endlessly entertaining and appealing and aany alterantive would be a downgrade.
Reminder that marika fricked over, humiliated and cucked her previous husband who secured rule over lands between for her. (You) will eventually get the same treatment in any ending where she is present for busting her out of tree. The only positive outcome would be just wasting her right after you're done with wasting whoever she was told you to waste. This should have been another boss fight.
Except unlike Godfrey you're her super special Tarnished engineered with the express goal of killing the elden beast and freeing humanity.
She basically groomed you into the perfect husband.
You are just the one who won because he has magical phasing though attacks button. There is nothing else special about you. You cut it as temporary frickboy at the very best outcome, and even the she will be the one wearing the pants in relationship.
>Yes and?
You literally have no agency and exist at the mercy of a being which has long history of being exceptionally treacherous, even towards own immediate family. Is that not bad enough?
Listen man, I get that you're a bottom and describing your submissive fantasies really turns you on but you have to accept that other people may not feel or like the same things you do.
>Did she have a choice
She was literally running this shit, she could marry whoever she wanted, she could marry Renalla instead and nobody would have been able to say a thing to her, because she is effectively an absolute monarch with absolute power over subjects, and answers to no one. Even after she just gone and destroyed existing world order with no survivors, it is specifically mentioned by finger reader at roundtable hold that she still should be revered as local supreme being even after her transgressions.
So yes, she had a choice in everything she did and it was taken away only after directly crossing her eldritch abomination overlords (in servitude to which she also entered by choice).
>only appears in the game as a tragic Venus-like statue, half broken barely held together through sheer force of will holding the Elden Ring within herself, awaiting a successor >I'LL DRAW PORN OF HER
From Soft's art direction getting raped as always, like the definition of seeing pearls before swine.
Tarnished became more powerful than her. She couldn't best the elden beast while (You) could.
Her head is the one the swinging block if anything.
Besides she gets replaced in Ranni ending anyway.
>You would most likely have twins with her. >They'd either be heroes or ruthless pragmatists. >They'd either have platinum blonde or blood red hair. >By puberty they'd be able to overpower you. >By their teens they'd surpass you in your own fields. >By the time they reach adulthood they'd tower over you. >They'd be masters of their crafts if not the inventors. >But they would always love their father, the Elden Lord.
But really there should be an epilogue to standard elden lord endings >You do everything Marika wanted >She betrays you exactly how she betrayed every single person close to her and takes your grace away >You have one try to kill her, only using one of weapons that stated as god-killing in lore (black knife, godslayer incantations and greatsword, Maliketh remembrance items) >If you lose you get bad end and just disappear, if you win you get good end when you take over as actual shot caller >Exception is Goldmask's ending where she attempts to frick you over but can't and it results in instant loss situation
oracle envoys are albinaurics, albinaurics made by the nox to herald the foretell of the age of stars and lord of night. age of stars is the most popular ending

Look, sexy lady - I don't know who you are or why you are always telling me to kill things, but this needs to stop. Don't you have a house to go to, or family? Have you eaten? I have boiled eggs. Do you want a bowl of eggs?
>outmaneuvered >does literally nothing since the Shattering began, if not for your bum ass being horny for doll pussy Blaidd would still be searching for a way to enter Nokron and she would've been killed by the Baleful Shadows
>does literally nothing since the Shattering began
pretty sure Ranni had Iji forge swords for Radahn's army during the Shattering, Jerren tells you this
and Ranni & Co. were busy doing investigative work to figure out where the fingerslayer blade was located, what else are you expecting them to do? fight in the wars themselves for... reasons?
It is possible that Marika actually assisted rune of death being stolen, because it's more likely than Ranni just being able to outplay fricking Maliketh on her own. 7 of Marika's children of whom the only thing known is that they were "unwanted" by her lay in mausoleums without heads, so it's not like she would mind her other son going on the chopping block also, if that served some goal of hers.

Lost a 35-ish hour playthrough to this shit.
You're not locked into getting fingered. You can undo the decision and frick over the Three Fingers.
I know, but it feels like a vain gesture. It's pure larping but that character fricked up, disregarded Melina and got... something inside of him. The whole rest of the playthrough feels tainted at that point.
Frick Melina she’s basically a non character
Punish Melina is the best part. It's the only way to get more attention from her.

They cant keep agro or tank for shit so half the time its not even worth using them.

A fricking npc that just goes "..." when I talk to it. None of the merchants have shit to sell and I cant upgrade armor at the smith for who knows what reason.
What the frick am I missing? My average damage is around 70 which never does frick all, I feel like I have to cheese the game to kill anything. Fort frickface with its fricking flying bats was a nightmare and all I got was a talisman that increase my stats some but increases the damage I take which I cant fricking handle as it is.

oh lmfao i remember that one too but I didn't get to that until I could take it on
There is a trap chest that takes you into a mine, he got hit by that one.
If the game is "set up like an MMO" with leveled areas why would the game send you to an area where you can't do anything
Because you CAN do stuff. Case in point, you killed that dragon despite being massively underleveled right?
Oh okay so it's okay for a game to send you to high level areas even though that goes against basic design logic
>basic design logic
The design logic of that temple is to go there on a quest from someone at round table hold. You're not meant to move past the temple, hence why it gives you a grace right there so you can rest and teleport back there at any point.
They put the black blade kindred right there to smack your ass and demonstrate you shouldn't try to explore
You decided to do it anyway. And hey! You not only got past the enemies, you killed quite a few of them. That's pretty good. Why are you mad at winning anon?
why put a temple for low level players in the highest level area in the game
oh right I forgot fromsoft are morons
>demonstrate you shouldn't try to explore
>Open world game
>Punishes you for exploration
>Very little direction and guidance
>Punishes you for exploring major landmarks
What are you smoking? That is terrible design.
>punishes you for exploring
it isn't punishing you for exploring.
You're just exploring a dangerous area full of hazards that you aren't equipped to take care of.
You can continue your expedition there or go to the many other openworld areas.
Stop making sense, these people have glazed brains from Skyrim.
>You can continue your expedition there or go to the many other openworld areas.
That's what I'm doing now that I know the game is just terribly designed. I'll come back later.
>Terribly designed
except it isn't?
The Beastial Sanctum is located in Dragonbarrow for lore reasons. Warpgates are a thing in Elden Ring, and you can easily get to and from the Bestial Sanctum through one in Limgrave the lowest level area in the game.
>Warpgates are a thing in Elden Ring
Haven't found one yet.
>The design logic of that temple
It was the trap chest that sent him there. If anything though he should have gotten the idea that a trap chest would not be taking him to somewhere nice. It's a trap, traps are usually punishing.
No, the trap chest sends you to the Sellia Crystal tunnel. You can't warp out until you rest at another site of grace, Sellia probably being the one that's found most often. The warp gate outside Limgrave's 3rd Church of Marika sends you to Gurranq's temple.
nta, but the crystal tunnel chest will forever live rent-free in my head.
>me and the boys all buy ER, but I'm free 2 hours before them, so I decide to install and look around a bit
>wander almost directly to the semi submerged ruins, and get warped to the frick tunnels
>was avoiding advancing the main story so I wouldn't pull ahead of bros, so I can't even level up
>notice I can't teleport out, never actually sit at bonfire since everything just one-shots me, so I try and escape through the city with invisible fricks
>desperately trying to get back to limgrave before my bros log in
I love memorable bullshit like this. Going in blind is always a good time.
Okay but why is there a quest temple for low level players in one of the highest level areas in the game
What temple are you talking about?
The beast temple? It's for low level characters and its in one of the highest level areas in the game, that makes zero sense and dissolves your argument that the game is balanced like an MMO
nta I was just curious what you were talking about.
The reason it gives you that free teleport and then a grace right there for quick returning is precisely because it's for low level players.
So you can get Beast incantations as a reward from the Deathroot you get in Limgrave & Liurnia (which 95% of players will explore before Caelid), and also provide an avenue for the other 5% to tackle places for their loot out of the intended order.
>the game is balanced like an MMO
>except it isn't and you will need to utilize fast travel to skip areas that you can't do yet because they put low level content in high level areas
LOL
>the game is balanced like an MMO
Who are you quoting? The only person mentioning this is you, presumably.
This thread is symbolic of why From made DS3 a linear slog.
>zoomer doesn't understand ages old RPG concept of zones above your fricking level
I guess it would take an illiterate fromdrone to claim that you need to utilize fast travel to safely get to content and that's a good thing while also claiming that zones are clearly defined by level
Is this a bot? I'm not the anon who posted
Only you seem to have a problem understanding an openworld game not handholding your exploration
Okay so now you're saying the world has no balance but that's okay because you have a horse
Theres nothing stopping you but your own will to continue in caelid.
>the world clearly has balance
>but you need to use fast travel because there's low level quests in end game areas
>also you need to constantly run away on your horse
>technically even though I said you need to run away and abuse fast travel you can beat the whole game level 1
>so run away from everything on your horse even though I clearly just said that you'd need to do the opposite
>it's actually the best game ever made because you can sl 1 everything and there not being any balance even though I just claimed it was balanced
schizophrenic
Do not use Kenshi for such terrible posts.
>>the world clearly has balance
Yes
>but you need to use fast travel because there's low level quests in end game areas
Incorrect, you can easily avoid all the enemies on Torrent, and leave Caelid without so much a scratch on you if you wanted
>also you need to constantly run away on your horse
You can choose to do such, and it's a painless effort. You can also choose to stay in Caelid, and fight the tougher enemies, it's an open world game with choice wow! Difficult harder enemies are difficult, very shocking.
>>it's actually the best game ever made because you can sl 1 everything and there not being any balance even though I just claimed it was balanced
Skilled players who make all their inputs right can beat every boss in the game SL1, and this is a good thing correct.
You couldn't though.
>the world is balanced like a typical MMO with leveled zones
>actually there's low level quests in high level areas
>this means the game isn't balanced
>but I'll claim it's balanced because you can run away on your horse and because you can kill everything in 1 hit in the game because it's a broken mess
schizophrenia
>Leveled zones
yes
>actually there's low level quests in high level areas
Incorrect, theres low level quest in low level areas. You access shrine via ingame lore based teleportation.
You are free to immediately leave the area that puts an insanely difficult boss blocking the exit and go back to the low level area you came from
>BUT YOU HAVE TO FAST TRAVEL
One of the key areas in the game you have to constantly go to is the Round Table hold. Fast Travel isn't just another utility to make players travel useful. It's essential to the storytelling of the game, so no, fast traveling back to Limgrave isn't some unholy sin. Sites of Grace are literally used for that channeling the Erdtrees magic
>nd because you can kill everything in 1 hit in the game
Nobody said that you utter fricking moron git.
>I'm going to claim the game has traditional MMO leveled areas despite also claiming you need to abuse fast travel because there's low level areas in high level areas
schizophrenia
Anon, you might be moronic.
Can you coherently explain how? Probably not
I have never said anything about MMOs.
Just that it has leveled areas.
And yes, Caelid is a high level area. Just because there is some content accessible to low level players in it doesn't make it bad.
Plenty of MMOs have similar missions having you risk yourself to get to a point in a higher level area to deliver a message and tease players about whats to come.
It's commonly used enough.
>I have never said anything about MMOs.
You replied to a reply chain claiming that the game has traditional MMO leveled areas which it obviously does not, have a nice day
Leveled areas are not exclusive to MMOs, and nobody but you have even mentioned MMOs, you've been screeching it in every post now, but even MMOs put low level content in high level areas all the time. So that point is moot.
But once again, leveled areas in an open world concept is NOT INVENTED BY MMOS
Why are you arguing about MMOs if you can't cope that elden ring is not a traditional open world
Because you keep bringing MMOs up as some triumph card like a moron.
You brought it up like 20 posts ago, for no reason, and then kept screeching it when everybody blatantly ignored the part where you said MMO on, because it's deflectoin.
Like you're doing now.
Like a fricking moron.
>reply to reply chain talking about leveled areas
>STOP TALKING ABOUT LEVELED AREAS
schizophrenia
The first usage of MMO is a moron who thinks leveled areas was invented by MMOs, or the game was set up by an MMO, and somehow read the word "MMO" in my post that did not mention MMO at all, but the moron must've never played a classic RPG game so makes sense.
>semantics
why are you so butthurt that you claimed the game has traditionally leveled areas and are a proven liar?
In just about every single RPG in existence have higher level areas you can access early, and still grind out, and these high level areas are attached to low level areas, sometimes with low level missions inside them!
do most RPGs teleport you into high level areas and give you low level quests in high level areas?
and then the rest of the reply chain is this same moron using high leveled areas being accessible early as some gotcha, repeating the phrase "MMO" when nobody
Not one single soul said it was set up like an MMO except the moron himself.
The fun part is he is ignoring when I point out that even MMOs that he brought up out of no where have high level shit you're supposed to come back to in low level zones or have you go through high level zones to reach other low lever zones. He's baiting at this point.
Did you know? That in Vanila WoW, you had areas like area around Onyixia's Raid zone that had enemies that were much higher level than the actual zone?
You are the stupidest frick nut and you are only replying because you are getting replies.
Does classic wow teleport you into high level areas and give you quests in high level areas?
Yes.
What now, frick nugget? You got another zinger of a moron shitpost to drop?
Source? Post proof of vanilla WoW forcing low level players through areas where they can be oneshot as fresh characters
The quest that takes you to Org from Thunderbluffs.
thunder bluff is an island
My god I'm talking to a moron.
most people take a blimp there, also Orgrimmar is where all the DLC content is accessed, are you claiming that a fresh character running to a high level DLC area in an MMO is somehow a defense of elden ring's design?
>most people take a blimp there
Most people take a warpgate to the shrine in Caelid and then teleport out from the site of grace back to Limgrave
Again, you're claiming accessing DLC content as a fresh spawn in a 15 year old MMO is a defense of elden ring's disjointed design
I'm not claiming anything.
I'm not that same anon.
Once again.
>most people take the blimp there
is the the exact same statement as
>Most people take a warpgate to the shrine in Caelid and then teleport out from the site of grace back to Limgrave
Why not just play a stage/level based action game if you're going to have a melty about choices in an RPG?
>Most people take the Blimp there
>Most people take the Primm route to New Vegas
might get eaten by deathclaws if you go directly there and complain about it to Todd Howards
>elden ring has good game design
>I'd compare it to being a fresh spawn in a 20 year old MMO that I've never played and trying to figure out what to do while being overwhelmed by DLC
wow that's high praise
You didn't answer my question, babydick.
>Why not just play a stage/level based action game if you're going to have a melty about choices in an RPG?
>if you don't like bad game design I'm going to flame you!
okay shit eater
I don't care for Elden Ring's design, but I accept your concession.
>DLC
..........................................
Die
In a ditch
Especially slowly.
>admits in his made up scenario that you'd have to be a moron to have trouble with it
congratulations, you're comparing elden ring's game design to the experience of being mentally moronic and not knowing what to do in an MMO
>being mentally moronic and not knowing what to do
This is exactly how you describe your own experience with Elden Ring, kek
Just take a moment to have a bit of clarity in your life and realize you can't even defend the game without first assuming the identity of somebody who is mentally challenged
I've barely played WoW; I'm not defending it. I'm sorry you were born (or made) "mentally challenged", but your posts are amusing for it.
>pretends he wasn't comparing WoW to elden ring after he loses the argument
>I don't even paly WoW lol
holy schizophrenia
On the topic of schizophrenia - there are at least three different people you're replying to. I never brought up WoW until you did.
That's weird because none of them have an argument
I played the game blind, and I knew to get the frick out because everything was taking much much longer to kill than where I was. You have to be brainless, not even brain dead as that is too much brain power to have, to think you're supposed to stick around unless you want to kill things slowly.
I don't care about your personal experience, I'm talking about the actual game design
please frick off
You aren't. You're being a moron who gets high on (you)s.
There is no "absence". The only "absence" is here is your brain being absent of your fricking skull.
>can't even argue without spamming insults or assuming the role of a moron
Cope, get an argument
Cry about being called out as moronic all you want, you're a moron and you will be reminded of it every second you decide to keep posting.
This still isn't an argument
>he says as he posted no argument to start with
moron
I hope you get off on these (you)s.
Oh I have an argument, that's why you're so mad. Your argument basically boils down to "it doesn't matter if the game is poorly designed because you can run away on your horse"
>noo your experience doesn't count but my experience does
Re, Tard.
You can only argue your own made up experience with the game because you can't actually debate the game's design without looking like a moron because the game is shit
>is this good game design
>lol wtf dude I 100% the game sl 1 with smoke signals
>that's not what I asked...
>own made up experience
>nooo yours is made up, mine is real
Re
Tard
Again, you can't even acknowledge the actual game's design because you know it's shit
that's why you default to this tragic shit flinging behavior like a moron in a psyche ward
>see if I just deny your acknowledgement as being made up I can be as moronic as I want and that's why you default to calling me a moron
Of course.
You saying you beat the game isn't actually acknowledging the game's design
>this is bad design
>well I dodged the bad design on my horse so it's not bad design
cope
>If say it's bad design because I ignored all the signs then that means I'm right and not a moron
Indeed. You got it my man.
"I ran away from the bad design on my horse" isn't an argument for why it's good design
Calling it "bad design" isn't an argument, it's a statement. But of course a moron wouldn't know the difference.
Calling it good design because you ran away from it on a horse isn't an argument
Repeating the same thing over and over isn't an argument either. But again, a moron would think it was.
>denies any thing that proves him wrong
>then says he wins
Pottery. We can go the whole thread till bump limit but I want to take a nap and I'm sure everyone wants to get back to Marika fricking so have fun with your last word reply and remember, you're a moron for life.
I already stated my argument, you're the one repeating yourself
Avoiding even talking about the game's design by saying you can avoid the bad game design with your horse is next level schizophrenia
you can't actually and never have been able to say why the game design is good, only that you can choose to not play the bad parts of the game
Arrest, not with your attitude.
Translation for non-schizos?
Or are you samegayging again because you lost the argument but desire attention?
sorry psychopath but you're under arrest.
Okay samegay can you explain why elden ring's disjointed difficulty and lack of balance is good without saying "you can avoid it on your horse"?
nta but I completely disagree Elden Ring has a lack of balance. Getting teleported to Caelid is a joke Miyazaki plays, and it's intended to be substantially more difficult than Limgrave. Explore for 10 minutes after escaping the Crystal Tunnel and you can find a warp point back to Limgrave.
If Elden Ring truly lacked balance it would force you into Caelid from the beginning and lock further areas behind it. But the game doesn't do that.
It's pretty obvious the game is fundamentally broken when you can do 30,000 damage in a single hit
Yes, if you watch one-hit guides on Youtube and spend 30 seconds buffing before a fight. That process is so tedious I've never been tempted. Just give me a +25 Guts Greatsword with Giant Hunt please, I'll do the rest myself.
>y-you wouldn't know!
The devs fricking knew when they put it in the game, or worse, they didn't know and put it anyway.
So what's your argument? The devs were ignorant of the game being broken so you should to, just from stacking % damage bonuses? And that's not a design problem?
Please, hop off my dick you mental midget.
>y-you wouldn't know!
Seriously, who are you quoting?
You're coping with the game being broken by saying that it's impossible to find out it's broken without watching youtube videos.
Again, you can't actually defend the game's design, you can only cope and say that you ignored the bad design
You're insane.
>can't actually defend the game's design and defaults to "well I ignored the bad parts"
>if you point out the game is poorly designed you learned it from a youtube video!
>i-i'm not the same person!
holy moly
Who are you quoting..?
NTA but why is being able to one shot bosses with a specific setup a bad thing? It's an RPG
Well using basic logic if they gave a boss 50,000 HP, which is 2.5 times the highest HP from the last game we can agree that it wasn't because they wanted the boss to get one-shot.
If you can't even admit that you're an unsalvageable schizophrenic
You might actually be moronic
You're mentally ill, I'm not the same anon you were arguing with. I just want you to answer my question
>I'm not the same person
Fromsoft putting so many % damage modifiers in their game to the point that it enables you to one shot bosses at level 1 implies a complete abandonment of any real design philosophy which opens the door to sub par elements of the game not being "by design" and actual genuine frick-ups that they didn't foresee
>implies a complete abandonment of any real design philosophy
You'd have a point if the bosses were designed poorly. They're not. Hyper-specific builds (you can level similar arguments about Comet Azur being OP) don't necessitate anything of the sort, you delusional man.
>>this is designed poorly
>well it's not because this other thing isn't designed poorly
That's not a defense of the original thing that's designed poorly
If they didn't want the boss to get one shot, why did they give so many stacking buffs.
And why did they do that for Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne.
You're acting like this is some new and arcane discovery, exclusive to Elden Ring and that From Software could never have forseen this.
Lets imagine for a moment a world that fromsoft has no idea what they're doing
They want (You), the player, to have fun.
You want to bust your balls by doing it the hardest and stupidest way? Go for it.
You want to be a sad c**t and follow a meta? That's fine too — if you enjoy it.
????
You're the one saying that "you can't just put me in a high level area!!!!!" and then being a moron about it by trying to say that level zones are an MMO thing and then being shown you'd be a moron there too and now you're trying to.....I have no clue since you're so goddamn moronic.
>it's not the game design that's bad!
no it's very clearly the game design that's bad, that's why you have to pretend to be moronic to defend it
Giving the play options isn't bad design, it's good actually. You took the moron option. You are the brainless moron who decided that yes, I will ignore everything telling me this is too much for me and won't leave. You didn't even have to fast travel, you could just walk out.
He isn't me you goddamn brainless moron.
The absence of game design isn't "giving the player options"
>most people take a blimp there
Yes, but small brained morons like you would walk there on foot since you are able and nothing is stopping you and no one reads quest text. You'd walk through the Barrens and get your ass handed to you and then cry about being made to go to a high level place.
>quest meant to demonstrate the scope and dangers of the world you're in
>anon becomes eternally traumatized by being introduced to adversity
you guys are always interesting
???
You quote the wrong posts?
Also, what "DLC" is there in Vanilla? You're so moronic you can't even follow a fricking conversation.
>calls expansion content "dlc"
Mouthbreathing moron.
The blimp was added in Wrath newbie
Recommended level for barrens is 12+, you'd have to run directly there from spawn to have a trouble with it. Saying that elden ring's world design is scaled "as good as running through a level 12 area at level 1 in WoW" is actually insulting the game, not defending it
FYI, there is a blurred line between trolling and just acting moronic, and you are far on the latter's side.
Nuts.
>There are no low level ares in high level areas
>there is one place
whew
You are the most moronic motherfricker to every type on a computer.
The vender isn't a zone, it's one fricking NPC. And I love how you ignore the part about MMOs proving you are moronic and have no fricking clue about what you're even trying to meme.
>an entire low level hub in an end game area doesn't count
lol
It's not a hub. The only hub is the round table hold. You're doubling down on being moronic and I hope you're pretending.
>nuh uh
cope schizophrenic
i swear to god, plebs like you need to be euthanized ASAP. You´re the reason we´re in this mess anyway.
>the world isn´t balanced because i cant curbstomp anyone at any given time.
I also assume, you´re a fan of enemies scaling to you, as moronic as your takes are.
>Just because a low level area that players are free to teleport to from another low level area for a questline that's optional
Again, that isn't the only warp into Calied, there is a trap chest that warps you there as well, not just D's quest line.
>That shit triggers my OCD. Its fricking annoying to leave an area especially one that the devs just drop you into with no warning before all content is exhausted.
That is a you problem
>Its fricking annoying to leave an area especially one that the devs just drop you into with no warning before all content is exhausted
This is why hubs are vastly superior to open worlds
Not only devs can concentrate on the important you can safely design an area tailor made to the progress you guided the player to have
>The game doesn't handhold you on what to do
>the difficult enemies you encounter aren't enough to tell you "Oh shit this place ain't playing around."
>One of the few things the game tells you to do is to follow the grace lines and wow would you look at there there are grace's with grace lines pointing you deeper into the area! Almost as if the game is TELLING you to stay.
But the difficult enemies are telling you it might not be worth staying, and its right next to the low level area on the map, maybe I should just go back now!
I killed the Tree Sentinel. Why else would they put a boss in front of me so obviously?
The "frick off" message is that you got warped by a fricking trapped chest. Do you think traps are supposed to be helpful? That they are supposed to put you in nice places and hold your hand and pet your head while telling you they love you? The frick.
>Okay but why is there a quest temple for low level players in one of the highest level areas in the game
Because teleportation and fast travel exists, and so they could. Warpgates are an actual thing in universe. You took the easy way to the temple and had an easy way to get back.
It's located in Dragonbarrow for lore reasons.
>zoomer doesn't understand ages old RPG concept of zones above your fricking level
>>no weapon upgrades
>still kills the bridge dragon and the Caelid death bird
I wanna call you a moron, but also I'm too much of a shitter to ever pull that off so congrats.
Also, to upgrade weapons you need to go to roundtable hold or buy the upgrade tools from the guy at the ruined church right past the horse riding knight, right at the start.
I can up grade weapons just fine its armor that I need upgraded so I can take a hit.
I'm using Cipher Pata +1 as my main weapon and unblockable blade is the only reason I am still going. It knocks down most enemies and a few will normally knock down a boss for a crit.
It did but I had no idea how to get back and by the time I started getting the maps I spent so much time here I figured I would just finish the area. Since I expected the whole game to be like this.
It would have been completely different if there was an NPC that say laughed at me for falling for the trap and warned me to frick off from the area rather than just letting me do shit that the devs do not expect me to do.
>over 100k souls at game start that you can invest into vig
>a cool ass weapon the gargoyle drops
You didn't get nothing.
Sorry what did you say, I was distracted by my blue wife.
Has Dandonfuga ever drawn something with a different body type
Why would he?
It's boring, it's the safest most average looking shit ever. But even setting aside personal opinion why would you want to look at the same exact body type so much, even CSR probably has more variety than him.
>It's boring, it's the safest most average looking shit ever.
No it's the best ever and annly someone who has some gripe with it could get tired of something ideal.
> But even setting aside personal opinion why would you want to look at the same exact body type so much, even CSR probably has more variety than him.
Because the ideal is endlessly entertaining and appealing and aany alterantive would be a downgrade.
You're really looking for creativity and experimentation from a coom artist?
Are you moronic?
>He
It may come as a surprise but a good amount of western h-artists are women.
>good amount of western h-artists are women.
Don't these just draw gay and furries though
You have it backwards. It's women who draw all the naked ladies while it's dudes who do all the gay furry commissions.
There is no reason for a downgrade
Nope, same face and body for every girl.

So yes, she had a choice in everything she did and it was taken away only after directly crossing her eldritch abomination overlords (in servitude to which she also entered by choice).
>only appears in the game as a tragic Venus-like statue, half broken barely held together through sheer force of will holding the Elden Ring within herself, awaiting a successor
>I'LL DRAW PORN OF HER
From Soft's art direction getting raped as always, like the definition of seeing pearls before swine.
> only appears in the game as a tragic Venus-like statue
Not in the opening/trailer
>became her champion
>you get both a sexy waifu and a Chad bro.
I don't get it, what is so bad about it?
Radagon is completely gone though, he got repurposed into a sword for farming albinaurics.
Tarnished became more powerful than her. She couldn't best the elden beast while (You) could.
Her head is the one the swinging block if anything.
Besides she gets replaced in Ranni ending anyway.
homie she's a corpse puppet held prisonder. Not to mention pumped out at least a dozen kids.
stop, I am already hard enough
Is the elden ring her hymen?
Rate this axe I dropped
What the frick is this gay ass mod?
diablo loot mod
What manner of modfrickery is this?
Kino mod, what is it?
I will buy your stickman game now.
>Is that... An attractive woman?! AAAAHHHH SAVE ME TWITTER TRANNIES
I'll buy your game, just to try it out.
Now
Draw a pee pee on her
Thanks america
nice
Also a quest in Redridge has you delivering mail into a much higher level zone that you're not supposed to stick around in.
She looks like she fricks elden beasts.
she would destroy me
>ITT
Stab a stake in your head in both directions and angles.
>But they would always love their father, the Elden Lord.
>destroy the elden ring
Already done.
MOMMY ME HUNGY NEED MILKIES
Honestly I want a Marika gf to squat over my face and take a dump. Imagine the sheer stench of those logs.
do pretty girls poop pretty poops?
I would literally do anything for pussy.
>but what abou...
yes that, literally anything
Literally for dark african men only.
Radagon is so hot.
But really there should be an epilogue to standard elden lord endings
>You do everything Marika wanted
>She betrays you exactly how she betrayed every single person close to her and takes your grace away
>You have one try to kill her, only using one of weapons that stated as god-killing in lore (black knife, godslayer incantations and greatsword, Maliketh remembrance items)
>If you lose you get bad end and just disappear, if you win you get good end when you take over as actual shot caller
>Exception is Goldmask's ending where she attempts to frick you over but can't and it results in instant loss situation
But nobody is moronic enough to get Marika's ending.
>results in instant loss situation
MY DICK HARD
>god-killing in lore
Any +25 is God killing, that's the lore behind that stone.

This guy is an actual schizo. No use replying
Too bad we can reply against psychos like you.
I will now destroy the ring.
SEXO
Marika would be fully shaved
Belly button rings are disgusting.
>pierced belly button
Nope. Gonna mend the Ring and take it off to the stars. They can't frick up any more badly than Marika has
what the frick is the point of that pic? that the Nox have some connection albinaurics?
oracle envoys are albinaurics, albinaurics made by the nox to herald the foretell of the age of stars and lord of night. age of stars is the most popular ending
>albinaurics made by the nox to herald the foretell of the age of stars
albinaurics made by the nox to foretell the age of stars*
frick
Every game other than Stray that was nominated for GotY actually brought something to the table and are worth playing once.
I'm gonna destroy my wife's elden ring tonight if you get my drift
I love breasts and pits so much
name?
Open the way for the true best girl.
Her dialogue implies she's an old hag pretending to be a pretty girl.
Age & appearance are extremely relative in ER anyway
Godrick looks like a fricked up old man but he’s supposed to be pretty young compared to most of the other major characters
You guys are talking about all of this lore and yet when I played the game I had 0 idea what was going on. I understood nothing of the overarching story. Where do you get all this shit?
the npcs tell you
if you slow down for a minute, press the button to show item descriptions and listen to what npcs say, you too can learn the story of elden ring!
listen, you find a blue girl, do what she says, and then put a ring on her
Why didn't the runebears just take the elden throne
cant get through the doors necessary to get up there, too fat
>this fricking thread again
The one yesterday got nuked why wouldn’t this one be nuked too
Look, sexy lady - I don't know who you are or why you are always telling me to kill things, but this needs to stop. Don't you have a house to go to, or family? Have you eaten? I have boiled eggs. Do you want a bowl of eggs?
Wheres the elden ring womb tattoo?
blue board
>extra bush
extra based
it'd be perfect if they were blonde
>extra bush
extra cringe
Post original, everyone here knows that Marika bush is same color as her hair
you could have at least matched pube color to the already existing pube version, come on son.
dark eyebrows, dark pubes.
marika
>kills her only decent son
>steals and marries the only tarnished capable of becoming Elden lord
>becomes the new goddess
Nothing personel marika
She outmaneuvered Marika at every turn. Why would anyone want to be the consort of the loser 'goddess' when Ranni is so much more competent?
>outmaneuvered
>does literally nothing since the Shattering began, if not for your bum ass being horny for doll pussy Blaidd would still be searching for a way to enter Nokron and she would've been killed by the Baleful Shadows
>does literally nothing since the Shattering began
pretty sure Ranni had Iji forge swords for Radahn's army during the Shattering, Jerren tells you this
and Ranni & Co. were busy doing investigative work to figure out where the fingerslayer blade was located, what else are you expecting them to do? fight in the wars themselves for... reasons?
It is possible that Marika actually assisted rune of death being stolen, because it's more likely than Ranni just being able to outplay fricking Maliketh on her own. 7 of Marika's children of whom the only thing known is that they were "unwanted" by her lay in mausoleums without heads, so it's not like she would mind her other son going on the chopping block also, if that served some goal of hers.
man i miss the lore threads and constantly arguing with everyone over schizo theories
DLC cant come soon enough
Can't wait for DLC to be ringed city tier lore wise, namely answering absolutely nothing.
What if she switches forms?
u can tell thats an anal pregnancy
What does goddess milk taste like?
home made enchilada
like estus :^)
