I'm getting mixed messages from their previews. On one hand they show footage that seems to indicate they learnt from the mistakes of Diablo 3, showing a game that doesn't look like a cartoon moba sfx shitfest with no depth.
Then they show footage that makes it look just like d3, a sfx shitfest with no depth.
Feels like a repeat of D3 where they bait and switched the game shown in beta for a game full of bad decisions, that pandered to a barrow band of players and tricked 16 million people into buying it.

They can't make a diablo game, that's just not in their DNA.

I bought it with battlenet balance I had from wow gold after I quit. Was waiting for that to spend it and honestly, I'll give it a try without feeling buyers remorse and that will be the best thing to do. They saya the batrlepass is cosmetic only so thats shit but at least it wont impact me. If they make stash tab a battlepass feature tho. I liked the preview where they showed big conan like barbarian in lut gholein style outfit. Was the kind of aestethic I can enjoy.
Dunno about it being smart but it makes the purchase of shadowlands a little less painful. Though I had a good time in castle nathria heroic with the guys
