I kinda want to play Rogue, it was my favorite D1 class, but class design is so fundamentally different in D2 and onward compared to D1 that it bears little mechanical similarity to what made me like Rogue in the first place. They at least made it a hybrid ranged/melee class. Whether that's because they wanted to capture the versatility of D1 rogue, or because they just went "well, my Rogue in WoW uses daggers, so I should be able to do that with a Rogue in Diablo, too," I have no idea. It really does look like a Demon Hunter reskin to me, where it's basically "archer, but with shadow magic and traps cribbed from Assassin."
Pretty good contender for an early DLC, since they have no holy class and no martial arts class. Assassin is probably not coming back, since as mentioned above, its shadow magic and traps are already covered by Rogue, so Monk has no competition for the martial arts slot.
That being said, Blizzard is going full-tilt nostalgiabait for D4, so I think it's more likely that we'll get Paladin as our first holy themed class.

Not a valid argument, do you remember when VHS tapes cost $90-100 each? How about consoles or vcr's costing $600-1k+? Flat screen tvs costing $15k? The price comes down as the manufacturing process matures and economies of scale start kick in. This held true for carts and everything else as well...blizzard isn't even bothering with physical copies and they are still up charging you, and honestly that is what it is...but locking the release date behind a $20-30 more expensive edition is completely absurd. What other AAA games are doing this? Stop making excuses for a greedy shitty company that virtue signals every opportunity they can while being guilty of the very things they are accusing you of.

I'm just finishing a Diablo 2 run with a sorceress so I guess that I'll do something completely different for the D4 beta and go with a Barbarian. As for the game itself, well, it's in June, so there is still time. I'll probably go for Sorceress again, or do two parallel "first run", one with the Sorc and one with the Necro.

I'd get over it if the cosmetics in question was funny shit like a chicken suit, but if there's a cosmetic that makes your paladin a actual fucking paladin or other class, then that shit should already be included in the fucking game. TLDR, you should not need to pay MORE for class defining cosmetics in a full priced title. Imagine buying Halo Infinite and still needing to purchase the battlepass and level it up just to look like master chief in multiplayer.
