I feel like Seifer was a victim. He wanted to be great, but couldn't conform or follow orders. He wasn't made for military life, but the only reason he was there was because of a childhood dream. Ultimecia ultimately (lol) saw him as the perfect tool to get closer to the sorceress successor, and he was used only to have his dreams of being a protector get completely shattered by the one guy he thought he shared that non-conforming attitude with.
Squall didn't DO anything, though. He simply followed orders and did what he was told. It's what made Squall such a great sEEd--Seifer almost killed 4 people because he wanted to be the main character of his own story. You can't give a guy like that control over people who are trained to do whatever you say.
>P. S: He already show that he can't work with squall yet they kept making him work with him as his subordinate.
This Black knows what the frick is going on. Seifer wanted to be the main characters like we all do, he even copied Laguna's cheesy tv show dragon slay as his winning pose. Fricking moron.
I really liked Squall and Seifer's dynamic from the little we got to see of it in the Dollet mission. I thought there'd be a lot of that throughout the game. Shame.
Because it's one of the boldest jrpg ever made. It does not hold your hand, it doesn't over explain, in fact, events will happen that does not make sense until the end of the game, the intro as an example. It has the coolest minigame, a love interest that not only have an ex but your protagonist don't even know her. Use of inner monologues not only as exposition but as a tool to convey character growth. The game is a big filter because it does a lot of stuff different from other jrpg but it takes a dive to notice.

No, glossary explcitly says only humans are so weak to need to junction. Monsters (who come from the moon and aren't even sapient for the most part) are just that strong. Dyne and his sorceresses are also inherently strong, but they're also human, so they get to both have monster strength and junction bonuses on top. This is why Rinoa has by far the best base stats other than Seifer and Adel (who is a sorceress).
Seifer's absurd stats are because he's a hot blonde guy who isn't gay, unlike Zel.
Is final fantasy a book though? It isn't. It's a jrpg from the 90's made by a defunct company. And I will praise it for doing things that 30 years later are still rare to see in this medium.

Seifers only win is in the cinematic and argueably that couldve been a draw
First time you fight him in Deling he just drops to 3 gunblade trigger attacks without you needing to heal once if you mostly farm AP with the card ability and have a low level (you should cause otherwise no Lionheart in disc one)

so the Squall game story end after the first disc in your mind?
I think that's thematically important. Seifer straight up goes into desperation mode trying to surpass Squall because up until the Dollett mission, he saw him as an even rival. Imagine how you would feel if the *ONE* thing you think you're good at gets sodomized by that guy you thought was like you over and over again? Seifer should've fricking died.
Put yourself in his shoes. Dude is a supersenior at Balamb Garden. He keeps failing, not because he's unskilled, but because he is too independent. Then the one mission that the guy you thought you were even with surpasses you because he's a meek little b***h who does whatever he say to the letter. Seifer is school shooter tiers of insecure, and him getting mindfricked by a sorceress probably saved him from suicide.

I think its clear who is the better gunblade user.
No, he was so obsessed with being the knightly hero of a witch that he didn't notice the possessive perflat ESL next to him
Game would have been better if Rinoa and Seifer's places in the story were swapped. If you really think about it, you'll realize it's true.

It was MC friend who screw up.

I guess they are scared of Squall father.
I don't think that kidnapping the Galbadian president on live TV to impress your oneitis was a very good plan, Seifer
To be fair, Zell fricked that up. Seifer was doomed from jump because this was Ultimecia's first interaction with him.

By the end of disc 2, Squall is dead. That's his post-death power fantasy.

>Seifer has fire cross arguably the worst limit break in the game
>Squall has renzokuken one of the best limit breaks in the game

Squall is cute, but Zell and Rinoa mog him with their limit breaks (in terms of damage).
