Did the themes merely shift types?

Any weight to this theory?
>Grass has a weapon (flower bombs)
>Fire has an evolutionary biology theme (bird/gator)
>Water is zodiac (rooster-like duck)

I thought that was obvious as soon as they were revealed and I wondered why nobody else said it.

Explain how birds and gators represent an “evolutionary biology” theme? Because they are both animals?

Crocodilians and birds are immediately related by evolution. Together they form their own group, the archosauria. This is why birds qualify as reptiles, because crocodiles are related to birds rather than to lizards, turtles or snakes, so if you consider crocodiles to be reptiles, you have to consider birds to be reptiles.

Yeah, not relevant here AT ALL. Skeledirge doesn't have any evolutionary relationship to the bird on its head. Birds and crocodiles are extant today, as is the commensalist relationship referenced in the design.

I appreciate the irony that birds are a more modern development but it's the bird that's a ghost

Evolution doesn't replace "old" animals with "new" animals. The crocodiles and birds today aren't the same crocodiles and birds that evolved during the mesozoic. There are definitely extant crocodilians that evolved more recently than some modern birds.

If it was intentional, it’s probably because they don’t want people speculating that they are going to stop after 12 gens that or they don’t want to seem predictable as they have stated in previous interviews. Not sure why they would create such a pattern in the first place.

This isn't something that happens for real or at least it has never been observed and filmed in nature. This photo is famously shopped. It's a long running myth in natural sciences dating to the times of Aristotle that crocodiles have a symbiotic relationship with birds, never been proved.

True. More like it does that to lure the poor bird.

It's moronic to imply this connects it to a zodiac theme, but Quaquaval has a prominent physical trait, its tail fan, that is generally found in male gamefowl such as the peawiener and the turkey, and not in other birds including ducks. The rest of the design also seems to be derived from some sort of rail (which aren't directly related to either gamefowl or waterfowl), such as a coot or a swamphen (pic), with its sharp beak and its freakishly long legs and fleshy toes, while it doesn't seem to have traits directly derived from ducks unlike its previous stages.

            >rooster-like
Why do you have to be so moronic and need to reach so much ?

Since the subject seems relevant/directly pulled from Bog's observations, here's every rating as of right now.
