people want leaderboards, competitive rankings ect. for multiplayer shooters.
they want all sorts of waifu crap instead of a solid theme.
they want perfect balance instead of wacky shit that leads to cool moments.

i cant stand multiplayer shooter players, they ruined the genre

i blame mobas and their needless tedious and mind numbing "gameplay". a 5v5 game where everyone needs to work together do an objective? what could go wrong? only that people play to get kills, and limiting the characters capabilities to make it "competitive"
in the sense that the devs favorite character is the only viable option.

and while the hero shooter genre is moronic. the battle royal games are also just as fricking dumb. wait 30min to start the game, only to wait another 5 to spawn on the map. then take a walk through nothing to meet up with the only other person nearby and then either die, or try to find another person on a giant map to finish the hour of your life you wasted walking around.

          >TL;DR competitive anything was a mistake

ah yes the buggy netcode that made the game unplayable was sooooo fun

i disagree but i get where you are coming from, as it is very similar to how i feel.
i feel the issue is the people who obsess over competitive that ruin it, as even casual competitive (if you know what i mean?) gets ruined from these people

totally agree. people who take the competitive stuff way too seriously end up ruining the game for everyone. the toxic behaviors are always instigated by comp gays

yea, and since they are the majority, the devs cater to them

I liked the art style. In game graphics sucked though.

                > there wre barely any players when I got it.
i kinda liked when they got to a low but dedicated playerbase, it reminded me of oldschool lan lobbies at cyber cafes, everyone knew each other.

This game made me sick, not enough to stop playing the game but after I stopped playing my brain felt like mush.

lol same, i still get motion sick from some games but keep playing cuz they fun.

Even though it has nothing to do with this game, seeing it reminds me of the time a fricking store employee persuaded me into buying Rage over New Vegas even though I went in for NV.

I must of bought Brink before or after this so that's probably why I think about it.
What a horrible string of purchases

I remember how I got this game. I was shopping with my mom and waiting with the GameStop bag outside a clothing store for her. Then two people pointed their fingers at me and made fun of my nerdy appearance. Other than that I only remember there wre barely any players when I got it.

    Yes it had several.
It had no microtransactions, no live service season pass BS, and it knew when to call it quits and dhut down it's shitty game.

Very honorable, modern devs could learn a lot from this.

The build crafting and mobility were fricking PRIMO. I personally liked the art style but that's subjective. But I have a habit of picking dying games.

i played that too, but if i remember correctly it was very pay to win, something brink never did.
i personally thought brink was better, but they are very different games.
