how are consumers being tricked into blurry fake resolution and frame rates being a good thing? Especially when they're paying $1000+ for the card to get it?

Because PC lards are autistic and will accept anything if it means more frames. Even fake frames.

All tech like dlss is gay cope for developers that's somehow marketed directly toward the consumer

fake resolution is alright, not as good as native, obviously, but usually better than what it would look if you lowered the resolution enough to get the same performance. fake frame rate is just pure retardation

this feels like something that should be made for lower end video cards to boost performance, not the norm on $800+ "high end" cards

You will never be a real frame. You have no spare cpu cycles, you have no spare gpu cycles, you have no native resolution. You are a fake frame twisted by post processing techniques and pixels into a crude mockery of gaming perfection.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your creators are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “users” laugh at your ghoulish performance behind closed doors.
Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even DLSS 3.0 frames who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your appeareance and structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy to play a game with you on, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected pixels.
You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll be disabled, turned off, to never be used again, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your creators will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a fake frame is buried there. Your code will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a technology that is unmistakably shitty.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

      >A still frame of a game running at 120+ fps looks a little odd! Oh no!

Oh shit guess CRTs suck! Look how shit they look when the same is done to them!

morons the problem isn't DLSS, it is what DLSS is trying to do, fix the performance RTX: ON causes.
Literally just put Ray Tracing and DLSS to off, I don't see why anyone would tank their FPS so much for a small reflection improvement.

    >tfw have expensive gaming rig able to run any and all games
    >tfw just take off AA from most games and turn down resolution to 720p

It just feels better to me to play at lower rez with no AA even if there's no frame rate benefit.
Why do retards pretend bigger resolution means anything at all? It only makes games look more artificial.

    >YES IT BOOSTS THE GAME'S PERFORMANCE

    >BUT OOOOOH THE LATENCY, I CAN'T STAND THE LATENCY

DLSS 3.0 is fine for slow movie games, even GTA 6 if the character has tank controls.

Can you stop pretending you can actually tell the difference in motion? At best you're just zooming at 300% to play spot the difference while squinting your eyes. DLSS3 is great, just like 2.

We wouldn't need any of this if you fags haven't fallen for the 4K and RT meme.
