I box my starter for a 6IV or HA version of itself.
Does that count?
>Do you box your starter?
never only retards to that
The second I get to a terminal and can access HOME. Sword is the most recent console game I've played, and those starters sucked ass.
>not including your starter in your 24 pokemon rotation
cringe
why are pokemon rotations so kino? literally the most fun way to play
Only if all three options are a no-go. Gen 8 starters particularly sucked. I remember dropping my Grookey the moment I caught an Applin.
gens 1-5, and 7 no
gens 6 8 and 9 yes
I haven't liked a single starter from Gen 5 onwards and they had nothing to offer after HMs were phased out
Only the gen 6+ starters. Though I like the Legends ones
if there's six pokemon I like more than it, yeah
I use my favourites
AND release it.
I actually did in a couple of my recent playthroughs of mainline games. Honestly made the whole thing more interesting because I actually had an extra choice for my team instead of being stuck with the starter. I always picked water too, so that slot being free really opened things up
Yes. Starters movesets are designed to be easy mode they aren't interesting to play the game with.
No. But I am someone who has never understood the MAXIMUM SEETH people have in here over starters since DP and I still find them fun despite "muh fire/fighting' 'WTF ITS NOT A PEAR SHAPED DRAGON?!'
Weird cope. Fire starters are fucking trash
You lack reading comprehension, I fear
I might if I've played the game more than once, for some variety, but I wouldn't do it my first time through.
If I don't like any of them, yeah. I don't understand the autism behind NEEDING to have your heckin starterino in your party at all times. If the starters look dumb I'm not gonna use them.
Usually, yeah. I tend to shuffle my teams around a lot while playing, especially since Gen 6 changed how Exp. Share works. I think the last time I used my starter for the whole game was Feraligatr in Soul Silver.
Yes; I always use the first route bug as my "starter". Except Grubbin.
Only the Gen 5 starters, holy shit they are fucking bad.
No
Only the gen 9 starters. They are just so ugly I can't use them
Only bulbasaur, rest is busy beating e4
Why would I? I keep it with me in my main party throughout the entire main game for narrative reasons. The only time I'd box it is if I needed to for postgame, or if I'm about to transfer it into HOME for use elsewhere.
I don't understand what kind of autism would be required to make a person want to ditch the very first Pokemon they're handed and supposed to be bonding with at the first opportunity.
Never. Not even ones I'm not a fan of
Unless it's a replay where I don't need the starter I rarely do because I'm usually using it for the first time and don't really want to. Maybe there will be a generation where I do but not yet so far.
Only if I'm doing some kind of type-related challenge run that it's not appropriate for.
No, i gave her an ability patch and bottle cap
Nope, I always make sure to build them to be a competitive mon.
