I don't think any genre of games is high IQ, just varying degrees of autism

I have all the Dishonored games but only played 1
Are 2 and Outsider worth it?

Yes for 2, not for Outsider

2 isn't that great honestly, it's fun but not as great as 1. But death of the outsider is pure kino

2 is a retelling of the first game's dlc
      doto is a snorefest

2's story and characters suck and Emily has worse powers than Corvo so there's no reason to play as her. The game looks astonishing (when the VOID engine decides not to eat your frames).
It does have some insaneley good levels like The Clockwork Mansion, Stilton Manor and Luca Abele's Villa, that reward exploration and creativity in approach. It's really held back by the dogshit story. Gameplay is nice but the bonecharm and rune crafting can be abused very easily to make busted builds. Neat concept though.

Haven't played DOTO but since I get to play as Billie Lurk, I kinda don't want to play it.

Those are some absolutely stupendous levels but unfortunately they're held back by being preceded by awful city sections. I have no idea why Arkane thought it was necessary to make every level frickhuge and spread the bonecharms to the far ends of each map. The majority of city levels are dull shit where the narrow alleys and high walls just don't work with the gameplay. At least Dishonored 1 was smart enough to make these "intro" sections fairly short and linear, saving the larger maps for the actually fun mansions and setpieces.

2 is fun and adds some cool new gameplay stuff, its worth playing but is a step down, especially in atmosphere

I liked DOTO more than I thought I would. Removing the karma and character building elements allowed me to focus more on enjoying the level design and the challenges the designers made for me rather than having to autistically worry if I had killed too many people or if I had missed a doodad necessary for character progression. The plot is tolerable for what its worth, other than the Outsider's character assassination.

Dishonored is not a stealth game. Stealth is optional and not as fun as just playing with the abilities you are given. Only tryhards insist on ghosting levels and 'muh good ending'.

if by 'high iq' you mean 'blinking everywhere,' then yeah i'm a fricking genius

      >Upgrade blink and agility by using the tool you get after the first level that literally tells you exactly where the upgrade items are
      >By combining the increased jump and the extended blink I can now traverse across the entire map without even coming close to being seen in 5 seconds.

Yeah, I'm somewhat of a high IQ stealth expert.

Like any game, playing at the high end knowing and abusing all the tricks can be high iq. I like the big boss runs of mgs games. Casual play not so much, you're usually just running into scenarios, failing and reloading until you brute force a solution most of the time. Fun but very unga bunga.

Why is it possible to remove the loading screens and make levels seamless in Thief 3 but not possible in Dishonored? It would make the game perfect.

no because no stealth game is realistic.

No because I finished Dishonored 1 when I was 13
