why in the world would you waste your time coming up with or memorizing mnemonics for kana?... it's already a waste of time doing it for kanji.

      Anonymous

Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji aren't moon runes.

Moon runes are what happens when an Anon doesn't install East Asian fonts, and then tries to play a Japanese eroge, which doesn't load when he clicks its .exe, and instead spits out garbled text, and they post it online asking someone what's wrong, and everyone tells him they cannot help him cause they cannot read 'moon runes' (only elves can read that shit). How that got misinterpreted as Japanese altogether speaks volumes about the lack of intelligence of the average western newbie (shame most of you are now adults spreading this misconception).

Language changes, including and especially slang.
In a decade of Gankering I have never seen anyone use the term "moon runes" for anything other than actual Japanese text.
Even if it meant something else initially, it doesn't anymore because no one uses the term that way anymore.

Always found the jap campaign more compelling compared to the Germans. Sure the krauts will nade spam and that sniper section is a pain in the ass. But the way the japs will shoot you from the trees, boobytrap corpses and banzai charge you through the smoke is top tier. Kanji have multiple readings, so furigana is useful for a westerner to suss out the difference between 乳房 being read as ちぶさ and it being read as にゅうぼう. Honestly, the dictionary readings of many Kanji aren't worth remembering a lot of the time.

The best learning tool that doesn't treat Furigana as a crutch are the Hobby Japan light novels (HJ Bunko); they have furigana for the first instance of most kanji, and then leave it without furigana for the rest of the chapter. That way you get the reading, and then pay attention to the Kanji as it's repeated over and over.

IDIOT, the reason you use a japanese dictionary is so that you learn a japanese description for japanese words, to help you gain a Japanese understanding of the words, and not a shitty wank translation of it, that doesn't really express the true intent

The Japanese imperial troops were mostly orphans who were brainwashed with lies that foreigners tortured and killed their parents. Their training included torturing and killing animals from a young age in order to desensitize them into committing atrocities.

Them not fricking anymore is due to them not having good enough economic opportunities, so it's difficult for them to start families. Their economy has been fricked for over 30 years.

The entire reason why Japanese propaganda worked so well is because it contained pieces of truth to it you idiot. Japan was not welcomed at the Leagues after WW1 despite helping because they were "asiatic barbarians" not fit for the White man's meeting. That's not even bringing up the fact they got dominated by European powers to do what they want. The treatment of Japan after WW2 pretty much vindicated their beliefs. Modern Japan is pretty much a glorified US vassal state considering how much influence American corporations can do

No but you did see cowards and deserters hanging just from the defenders of Berlin as you wash over them as the Red Army. That section is pretty harrowing when you consider that its happening across the city.

Nip agglutinative structure is too much for me. Audio helps distinguish portions but they even "slow" reading are fast, and reading is like trying to peel duct tape with mittens.
Kanjis are a joke in comparison.
Probably the real reason is that I don't have the urge to read/consume actual nip material anymore, which is how I learned english and the only way to maintain proficiency as far as I can tell.

and utterly defeating your opponent makes you not care as much
