i only do the ones that seem interesting, like beating a hard boss without getting hit, if a game has a achievement like >collect 540 eggs
then i skip it
>tense, emotional moment - perhaps highly immersed or in a state of flow >bloop >achievement: The Harder They Fall....... >brought right out of it
Most achievements add nothing and nobody cares about anyone else's achievements, for consumers they're functionally useless skinner-boxery.
only xbawks because it's like a record of all the games I've been playing on other xbawks's since like 2005 and sometimes you get the rare ones that are a good dopamine jolt. Playstation trophies are shit and steam achievements shouldn't exist.
Cheevos are for failed humans feeling good and to hook them on some dumb, most of the time also repetive shit.
If you consider that now they are done by some homosexual deciding arbitrary milestones is even more pathetic.
I decide when I finished a game and I decide if I completed the task or not.
i like looking at what cheevos i got after i beat the game but i usually wont go out of my way to get any extra. its nice seeing how i fared conpared to other players but unless i really enjoyed the game i wont bother going any further
like, what do you people do? Do you just try to bring up cheevos in casual conversation and hope the person you're talking at humors you?
this is really sad and you need to stop
This thread is great. I can always remind people when I beat a game instead of just "saying I did". It's a permanent record of what games you played and when. Sure there's older Gamecube and PS2 games, but no one gives a frick about those unless you save them for your kids or still play them in your 40s.
No
I like looking at how many other people got the same thing as me when I see the rare ones I feel like a true hardcore gamer man
Achievements are the only reason I play games
cancer
The shitter casuals don't because it shoes they don't play games
achievements are gay as frick

If it's a unique challenge, sure. Tedious and multiplayer only bullshit can frick off though.
The only good thing about them is the developers can communicate a specific thing without breaking the fourth wall in game.
E.g. "Beat Hardest Difficulty with a Party of One"
>tense, emotional moment - perhaps highly immersed or in a state of flow
>bloop
>achievement: The Harder They Fall.......
>brought right out of it

I stopped playing Xbox but I’ve been tempted to go back and complete all my old games
You don't just buy a game, beat it once and forget about it, right?
>I have a small white penis

>man I can't stop sucking all these dicks like the huge homosexual I am
>still sucking dicks
No i don't give a frick unless i happen to complete most of them without realising. Then i usually am interested in getting the last few.
I like them except when they’re given out for literally just playing the game. They should only exist for challenging or rare things you do.

Not particularly. Most of them don't even have you achieve anything of worth.
How is finishing the tutorial worth a fricking achievement
