That said i dont watch many lets plauers now. Most are just all ironic humor, and scared to be silly or make jokes now.

What I hate is how LP videos I watched 5 years ago have lost their luster. Gamegrumps I understand why that ship has sailed, but sometimes I'll go back and rewatch my favorite Dingdong/Julian era Oneyplays or Sleepycabin and won't get the pleasure I did. Granted I watched a lot of it originally when I got high, but plenty sober too. I don't dislike them but something in me has changed.
I love watching corruption videos for corruptions more than the personality, but Vinesauce hits so much weaker now. I don't even know how I found Joel funny before when all he does is screech, laugh, and "thing in silly voice" reductionist humor.

I literally only check Running Shine streams and IndieLive Expo streams which happen a few times per year.

I used to be a pretty big fan of Good Old Days Gaming on YT, he'd do a lot of let's plays of older nostalgic titles and his commentary was always super relatable. More recently tho he's just been shitting out content rapid fire and most of it is incredibly boring or uninteresting - like he'll play games on easy, use cheats, and spend most of the video either complaining about being criticized in the comments for that, or talking about how he doesn't really want to be playing what he's playing. I'd say they were still better than the long span of just Chris/Tomar/Lyle where they all sounded bored as fuck and Tomar just read everything on screen verbatim, even interrupting the others to do so. You either need Lyle and Chris to be into the game itself so they are lively enough to cancel out Tomar (like the DmC or Revengance playthrough) or you need a wildcard like zach to bully Tomar into being part of the fun. I always found streamers super artificial. If you're watching a VOD it's annoying when they stop playing the game to look at a second screen for 5 minutes at a time to read shit. When you're in the chat yourself they just take a quick glance at a comment and says 2 or 3 words. I much rather let's plays tbh
You're watching the wrong streamers. You need to get in on the ones that hover somewhere between 50 and 200 viewers, and are basically lonely cunts looking to have conversations.
Depends on the streamer. Some people aren't quick-witted or charismatic or even willing to put in effort. I'm not saying I'm a God-tier streamer but one of the benefits of being small time is that chat is slow enough that I can give every message the response it deserves.
My question I use to test how good a streamer is usually is "What is your favorite sword". It's vague enough that they can really play off of it but specific enough that they'll probably get a few that pop into their head immediately.
Most of them have become gays, so I don't really watch for extended periods of time anymore, but I still use them to discover new games to play.

I used to be really into Let's Plays. Now I just watch Vinny Vinesauce, Vargskelethor Joel, some OneyPlays, and, on a rare occasion when a horror game I'm somewhat interested comes out, Markiplier. But when I end up liking a game a lot, I looking up more youtubers/streamers to watch them play it. This was the case for Outer Wilds, Inscryption, and Deltarune Chapter 2.

I tried to rewatch Freelance Astronauts the other day but it felt wrong. At first it was great and I was getting plenty of laughs, then Maxwell started talking about Fallout 3 as a new upcoming game and it reminded me that it's been 16 years and I need to stop watching people play video games. The memories will never fade and their banter is the epitome of what couch LPs should be like, got me through some hard times. I still watch the odd under-1k subs LPer every now and then but it's rare these days.

I hate how hard it is to find solid skilled/knowledgeable players on youtube these days. Youtube only shows you blind lets plays or autistic speedrun/"can you beat x without y" shit with no inbetween.
I found ElichTV recently and I've been enjoying his Warhammer 2 campaigns so much it's made me get back into the game again. He plays the games at a high skill/knowledge level without abusing exploits and it's really satisfying to watch someone who knows what they're doing. Even though he's exactly the kind of thing I want to see and I've tried manually searching for things like that on youtube before, I had to be linked to his channel offsite from /twg/. It's fucking annoying man.
I watch ManlyBadassHero for short indie games that i would never have played in my life and never will. Though i do play longer games if they seem interesting.

You are describing a speedrunner. Not every speedrun, or even most of them, but traditionally LPs are (mostly) blind playthroughs with commentary or humor. I don't watch streamers or let's players, if I want to play a videogame and don't know how it is, then I watch a couple videos from the game start and make a judgement.

Not in the fucking slightest. The appeal of lets plays is the banter between the hosts, the funny and sometimes interesting conversations that unfold because of, or often times entirely in spite of, the game they're playing. It makes you feel like you're hanging out with your buddies.
Vtubers are just stream whores for weebs. People watch and donate to them for the titillation of feeling like they're interacting with a cute girl who likes them.
Basically, lets plays = friend simulators, Vtubers = girlfriend simulators.

Why are people so afraid to criticize Sonic Frontiers? I expected harsher criticism from corey, because running around (at the speed of sound) and some of the boss fights are really the only things it has going for it. I almost exclusively watch videos (streams are cancer) of LPs for games I am currently playing.
When I played Pokémon I watched Pokémon when I play Minecraft I watch Minecraft, when I got back into YGO after I went cold turkey on Pokémon, I started watching YGO, etc. etc.
There are a few exceptions to this, but in general I am not interested in watching things I am not playing and have no intention of playing and the only game I have ever played after watching someone else do so was Isaac because one of my Minecraft guys happened to be uploading it and once he stopped after 100%-ing it prior to the first DLC of the remake, I realized I still wanted more of it so I started playing myself.

I've played against a decent amount of female streamers in Dead By Daylight and they nearly always are in a party with a guy who is much better and knows far more about the game than them. The woman will piss and moan while the guy is like "Wow, this guy's pretty good" or "Oh that's a cool combo, I've never seen that".
I also once had a female streamer get mad at the guys she was partied with because they found my username (PAWGHunter) hilarious

I'm in my 30s.and I've never watched any of that crap. It's only been you zoomers.
I may have watched one for year, but that was 2012; it was the peak of Battlefield, with BF3+, and I was friends with both Ravic and therussianbadger at the time (from interacting on voice chat in game) and got in their circle of friends/became a mod of there's. By the time I changed jobs in 2013 I didnt have time for helping with streaming besides just playing in game with them for our shenanigans or YouTube videos (basically just bug/funny multiplayer compilation videos if you ever looked up Ravic).
That's all I know though. You should never consider a streamer your friend (if you didn't organically connect in game or IRL) or an authority on any topic.
