Does anyone else find this design immensely overrated? It’s fricking boring and it’s like the designers just drew the most generic looking cartoon moth possible instead of making something that looks like a Pokemon. I hope its future/past forms have a better design.

Charizard looks like a Pokemon. Volcarona looks like they literally just took a real life moth and slapped a fire motif on it.

No. A better equivalent would be if instead of actual fire Ponyta just had red colored fire shaped hair as well as realistic horse eyes instead of cute anime eyes.

I don’t think the light blue color at the bottom of its body meshes properly with the scarlet wings but it’s otherwise a great design

It's an okay design. People like it mostly because of its sheer power and unique typing. Laversta looks better tbf.
