Giving Morgott more health would solve 90% of the complaints with Elden Ring. Hear me out:
>bosses are supposed to be gatekeepers for the next area - a challenge to overcome to show you are ready for what's up ahead
>bosses that can't be defeated easily causes the player to either get good or level/upgrade weapons/armor
>Margit is a great example of this because the first time the player faces him he is likely getting BTFO and it forces you to explore and come back
>you can accidentally stumble onto Margott without even exploring the rest of Leyndell because of the two entrances to the city and end up beating him easily without even knowing about the sewers or any other connected location
>Morgott has an expanded and complex moveset already compared to most other bosses but his low health and large vulnerability time between phase transition don't give players much trouble
What ends up happening is John Elden gets into Leyndell and rushes straight to Morgott, summons his spirit ash and brute forces through the boss and moves on expecting the rest of the game to be easymode with his 20 Vigor and Soreseel giving -50% armor. He then finds out that normal enemies are kicking his ass and complains about it on youtube.
Giving Morgott more health easily solves this.
They should make the game fun instead
So just to make sure, are the 20+million people that loved the game just lying about it being fun?
Or you just don't scale all the lategame enemies to take 100 hits with a max upgrade longsword to kill.The end of the game just sucks donkey wiener and making people grind out levels in a souls game so they don't get 2 shot and can instead make every boss a 20+ minute endurance fight doesn't fix that.
You don't have to grind. You just to see where you are lacking and adjust accordingly. I was intentionally underleveled through the game but even I knew to boost vigor when I was taking too much damage. People need to stop playing this like a souls game. There's a reason you naturally reach level 150 at the end of the game. Those extra levels are not just for show.

They should remove the ability to skip stormveil at the beginning. Also remove the trap that sends to to cealid.
Kinda breaks the game when you can skip to all the good shit and make your new character OP as shit in the first hour.
There's no proper way to "fix" that unless they lock up areas on purpose like they did with previous games. Elden ring bein an open world meme means you were gonna be able to do that from the start, and some people even got OP when the game came out by complete accident. Imagine getting moonveil super early on just because you bumblefricked your way through caelid and insisted on killing the homosexual lizard with some help. The rest of the game is shit when you have that homosexual sword and just sweep through it like nothing.
There just shouldn’t be a way around stormveil. They should force you to complete it.
They should take away all the warps too. Especially the one from that one iron virgin thing that take you to volcano manor. Talk about breaking the game.
Gatekeeping bosses are shit game design for games with bad world and level design.
