Honest fight where all his attacks are well telegraphed and he has no crazy combo bullshit going on, he just hits hard enough to punish poor timing and bad plays.
It helps that he's one of the ones who gets some good lines and has great delivery. Helps that he has some proper build-up rather than almost none like Hoarah or too much like Malenia.

This. It's all downhill from here, too much teleporting, combo dpamming, leeping, flying bosses for my slow ass character to deal with.

The trailers for this game were so kino, unironically this game would improve with more story, npcs and dialogue. I thought we were going to get faction wars and giant battles

The game was supposed to have a story but then Miyazaki decided to cut it. The final game has less story than any From game which is insane in 2022.

I want to see what’s on the cutting room floor, because the game as a whole feels like a little more should be cut to reduce the reuse of assets everywhere. The number of genuinely unique bosses can be counted on one hand.

I think that's it? it doesn't seem worse than the previous souls game as far as unique bosses go? maybe less varied than bloodborne

Some of those I’d argue aren’t that unique as you face Mogh in the sewers and again in the blood palace, only now with a phase 2. Same for Godfrey, Godrick (later in an evergaol) Morgott at least twice, and the dragons share a base attack pattern. Malekith is a tricky one, he attacks you while disguised as Gurranq. Unless Gurranq isn’t Malekith because I was pretty sure they’re one and the same. I do like Radahn though, his fight is always such a big event it’s hard not to get swept into the spectacle of it all.

That's why I specify phase 2/hoarah loux. I consider those to be the actual full boss, but that's my personal opinion on the matter. the dragons might share some attacks but the two I mentioned have a moveset unique enough, especially placidusax. the Godrick evergaol felt really cheap however that I admit.

Here's why he stands out imo
    >Not a demigod anime character
    >Cripplingly insecure because he's so weak compared to the other rulers
    >Kills a bunch of undead (tarnished) to stitch their limbs onto his to become stronger ( a really unique powerup concept )
    >Idolizes his ancestor Godfrey but couldn't be more different than him in contrast to radahn who isn't even related to Godfrey.
    >Kino voice actor with amazing, memorable lines
    >Cool moveset that ties in really well with the enemies of the area with all the storm abilities he and they use.
    >Addition of the dragon fire perfectly fits with the wind effects of his moveset
    >His moveset is one of the more straightforward of all the main bosses. Not as much combo cancelling or delayed attacks. Which makes him more akin to a ds3 or Bloodborne boss.
    >The narrative doesn't try to paint him as this tragic character we should sympathize with like they do with morgott, malenia, radahn, rennala etc etc which makes him feel like a classic clear cut villain.
    >He also gets a lot of buildup with characters before you fight him talking about how grotesque and evil he is.

Godrick is not a direct child of Marika's, he's likely a descendant of Godwyn.

This and PeePeePooPoo Man (GRRM) said the game takes place 5000 years after the Shattering (the first half of the intro).
Godwyn had more than enough time to reproduce before getting murdered and then plenty of time to develop a lineage of descendants, resulting on Godefroy and later Godrick.

          Anonymous

It's just stated that his divine blood is diluted. That only makes sense in the context that he's not a direct descendent.

The people that think the Golden Lineage were just "less important children of Godfrey and Marika" are severely misinterpreting that one ghost.

I'm not done with Elden ring as I got it on the first of january. I'm level 76 and just now reached radahn because I thought the caelid area was supposed to be a late game area which Im still not really sure of whether it is or isn't. But the game took a sharp dip as soon as I reached the altus plateu. Before then the exploration was intuitiv, fun and not too diluted. When I reached Radahn I just felt tired. Big dumb guy who's way too fast, too big, too strong and it is such a pain in the ass to read his attacks because of said speed and largeness. I am doing alright damage to him but all his attacks cover such a huge area, come out so fast, do so much damage and are all annoyingly delayed that I'm starting to feel that the game just isn't fair. Yeah it is hard git gud but the playing field between pc and bosses have become so incredibly stacked that you're either expected to power level which I dont want to do or to waste a whole gaming session for a tedious unfun and poorly designed boss.

Caelid is weird. About half of it, the Dragon Boroughs, is designed for late game. The southern portion is designed for early game. It's the only area that has this undecisive feel to it and it's probably because they wanted it to be late game at first.

youre expected to use summons which is why the boss floor is littered with them and they allow you to have like 6 at a time, moron.

You're meant to summon for him. Shit loads of summon signs around for all the NPCs you met leading up to him.

After they nerfed his damage you can defeat him entirely through summons if you time them properly and are prepared to dodge for a bit.
