His lovecraft and dragon age videos were pretty good but he's fallen off pretty hard. I'm like 20 minutes in, only half-listening to it and he does have some points but blowing them way out of proportion, he's just taking clickbait article titles at face value.
His best video was probably his Dragon Age or Cyberpunk one. His Witcher 3 one was decent as well, since he pointed out a lot of flaws that no many other people did. But other than that, he's mostly meh.
But the premise of his point is based on clickbait game journo articles. I don't think a majority of people were really claiming that Elden Ring revolutionized open worlds aside from the clickbait articles he pulled. And the comparison to Ubisoft was specifically due the the ui shit.
I think it’s a matter of perspective skewed for clicks. Are there things in the game I found disappointing? Yeah of course, it didn’t get everything right. Was it an overall disappointing experience? Absolutely not.
