>no retort
I didn't retort because there isn't anything to retort to. The sole fact that you rather play a boring goyslop that has died long time ago because of a shitty dlc over a masterfully crafted space game really just goes to show how retarded you are.

>missing an entire dimension
If you really shit on a game just for lacking 3D graphics, I don't know what to tell you other than, have a nice day.
Starsector has more things to do in it and it does things better than elite dangerous without being 3D. (Not, that it needed to be 3D in the first place.)
And also, it's funny how a small dev team can make a more interesting game with soul (and only charge you 15 bucks for it :^*~~ ) than a huge video game company.

I think anon was bemoaning the fact that Starsector has 2D gameplay since graphics don't really matter in deep sims.
It's pretty much X but 2D, with a friendlier UI and clearer difficulty balance.
>small dev team
Pretty sure it's developed by just 1 guy which is why updates are glacial.
Yes. I love duking it out with big ass ships in my little flying tank. Easy to fit some cargo space for salvage missions too whenever I feel like a change of pace.
This.
It's basically an grandiose truck simulator. In space
even for a space trucking game, it gets boring fast
I wish it was better but after seeing a couple cool things, there's nothing else to do besides jumping from system to system
>haulin' n' honkin' >needing anything more in your trucker sim It's actually pretty bad yeah.

I mean, I liked ED, tried mining asteroids, exploring with my diamond back, transporting people with my beluga, messing around on my vulture, and trying the anaconda, but it gets stale really fast when you realize how the game is
still my fav space game

I did the asp / diamondback exploration thing at the start, passenger ferrying for quick cash later on, got a conda and finally quit about 10 hours into the engineering grind after an epiphany. It really feels like accomplishing anything has no payoff.
I had the same problem with ETS after awhile, but at least there you can build up a logistics company and watch your recruits improve and earn you boatloads of cash you don't need, which is kind of a reward itself.
ED by contrast is just a lonely (You) in space snowballing assets for no reason. I hate that it looks and sounds so great, but I never want to bother installing it.
>finally saved up enough credits to buy the anaconda >accepted a quick but well-paid transport mission to be able to upgrade the ship and start bounty hunting >the destination is 1.5ly away from the system's entry point >fell asleep while flying >woke up 4ly past the destination point >never launched the game since
Elite is snoozefest, but this one
is almost just as bad. Which is surprising, considering Starsector is Sid Meier's Pirates in space, but with way more features. Probably because by the time you can get to the relatively fun stuff, which is combat, without risking your fleet getting obliterated, you will spend hours of smuggling shit and be done with this game.
gets 1 update every 2 years (literally) so there's no chance of the dev fixing the problem
obfuscated code to prevent modders playing with anything, and 10 years of modding has only given us 5000 faction snowflake mods and almost no gameplay/feature mods
it's a good idea with a really shitty implementation, it basically went nowhere once anything besides combat was worked on
>early grind is easy a fuck >by the time you can afford a type 9 youre getting 50mil or more in a day doing basic trucking >get into combat, can afford top tier ship immediately >look up engineering grind for better combat ship >lose any desire to play the game further
that shit fucking sucks ass
Probably not, but if you know about it and have the game installed, why not find out yourself?
Post screenshots of dead bugs before you get too bored to carry on.
Nah, I don't think I will.
>space combat
>in 2d
lame
FTL is the only game to get that right since it's representational
zoom zoom, zoomie.
>no retort
typical underage projection
what role with it, bounty hunting?
I enjoy space trucking so it's fine for me
dead game

I already praised FTL for doing 2d correctly lmao

nothing else in the game is fun

Dogshit game, fuck off Alex
viper mk4 is my beloved I don't give a fuck what anyone says
The grind isn't worth it at all

You have no idea how obnoxious getting the Guardian FSD alone was with the janky ass car controls and having to relog just to reset the spawns.
The rover is fun when you get used to it. It’s having to shoot ten thousand little alien trees that’s the real pita.
Let me walk around inside my fucking ship already.
>financed ny Corvette with the Sothis runs
Whats the newest exploit?
Man I haven't played this game in ages, I kind of want to make a new cmdr and have another go from scratch
Imperial Courier and Type-10 Defender for me. Are there wing missions on foot? My friend and I kept trying to find some to no avail.
Will they add more ships?
Sorry. I am sticking with Freelancer.
Is thargoid hunting fun? I know theres a war going on
Probably not, but if you know about it and have the game installed, why not find out yourself?
