What was the other guy nagging about to warrant getting punched?
He has a very semitic face so he must have had it coming.
Probably about riding a loud bike in the forest
>allies use camouflage to blend in with the enemies
Frick that's sinister
what do you mean? I assume this is to protect it from predators.
Do you even know what the word “sinister” means?
jesus christ
what am I looking at here?
a catterpillar pretending to be a baby bird to get fed
A baby bird getting fed and pretending to be a caterpillar afterwards. It's a cinereous mourner
The frick even is that?
which is the real one?
what's the point of looking like a big juicy delicious caterpillar?
you mean a big poisonous caterpillar
Chicks are a prime target for canopy dwelling predators since they're slow and weak and lack any natural defenses. Those bright orange caterpillars are extremely poisonous however and predators have learned to avoid them.
How does something evolve into this? It's not just mimicking the look but the behavior as well.
Look depends on genetics
Also behaviour depends on genetics
So life rolls the dice until one chick has some of that characteristics. Not perfect but enough to give a slight survival advantage against predator.
Fast forward 10000000 years and you have the perfected, almost sinister ability to mimic those caterpillars.
Because baby a and b exist and b gets eaten for not being convincing enough, baby a has baby a and b and b gets eaten for not being convincing enough
Repeat a million years
