>fight nergigante >get carted 2 times due to some 1 hit KO's on moves with weird hitboxes >fricker dies to one of my LBG mines randomly exploding while I was on camp >miss out carves >fight teostra >suddenly dealing 0 damage >learn the thing has some ranged shield aura
This game is just not fun anymore.
shoot horns for teo and don't spread your damage on nergi. Nergi's 1 KO moves only happens if you break all his spikes evenly and let them grow back and get dark
I actually didn't get get carted by his famous flying move at all, didn't need superman jump either, it was just his swipes and jumps that somehow hit me even when I'm not where his body's model goes through. It looks like some Dark Souls 2 levels of suckwaves.
English really suffers from that extremely low quality voice acting that appears in anime dubs. I switched to english to play through the Witcher crossover and I couldn't believe how fricking absolutely abhorrent everyone sounded.
I don't want to be Japanese
Americans are the only people in the world who have such an aversion to consuming media in their original language's audio that they become outright pathological like this
The Black folk who say monster hunter language have clearly never played any MH game before World. Monster Hunter language isn't random gibberish like it's done in World. It's actually supposed to be one or two normal sounding grunts that play in place of conversations. The way World does it is extremely cringe.
>It's actually supposed to be one or two normal sounding grunts that play in place of conversations.
Correct, during cutscenes.
Gameplay and dialogue is as it has always been.
English
For World I went with English. For Rise I went with Japanese.
SOVL
only correct answer
>r*ce
Aibou > Pardna'
Japanese for cutscenes. Monster Hunter language for general use. English for The Witcher 3 quest.
Monster Hunter language is the only acceptable choice
This, what the frick are the rest of you spastics doing?
this youre moronic otherwise
Adding on to this, clearly, objectively the right choice.
Adding one more (You) to the pile
MH language just sounds like drunken incoherent Japanese and it sucks. They should've taken the effort to make an actual understandable language
I would bet money you dont speak japanese

>Playing ranged weapons
You kind of deserved it. Ranged weps are "I watched a playthrough on youtube, that counts as playing the game" tier

He has some weird as frick hitboxes though. As for Teostra I guess I was supposed to just magically guess I should have brought the dragon ammo.
Teo's like one of the oldest elder dragons and everything thumps over elder dragon and dragon's being weak to dragon element so yeah
i always thought Nergigante's OHKO was some kind of "Leap of Faith" filter, like you had to learn how to do it if you dont want to cart.
It basically is, but he's a ranged player so dont expect anything beyond the very basics.

Monster Hunter language + player verbosity set to 0% + npc dialogue volume set to 0%.

That's your opinion. I personally like it.
Some languages sound better but also after years of airy sounding Californians dubbing over Japanese I've learned better.
Also I've just learned Japanese at this point passively. Spoken Japanese is actually very easy.
